CJ Walker is sitting in the dressing room smoking a cigarette and holding a bottle of Southern Comfort. His post match ritual where he can unwind and relax and let himself go mentally.
CJ: "You know this time last year I had racked up a lot of victories, I'd been on quite a roll and I was well on my way to becoming The Man. And guys like Devin Bishop, Kid Diaz, and Adam Miller were riding my coattails to success. I told those guys then, I was in the Black Hand until they no longer were of benefit too me. And I kept my word. I told everyone by the end of the year I would be World Champion and I kept my word. And I continue to give and give and give and give and everyone else benefits from it but me. My blood, sweat, and tears have built the careers of everyone else in UPW except me."
CJ stands up and slings the chair across the room, it shatters glass and breaks weaker things as he takes a big pull from the bottle before tossing it away.
CJ: "Well No More! I will no longer sacrifice so that others can gain from it. If they aren't going to sacrifice, if they aren't going to put in the work then they aren't going to get a God damned thing out of me. Showing up and participating isn't how people win championships. Cutting lack luster repetitive promos using the same ammo over and over and over isn't going to cut it anymore boys and girls. Either write some new material or stop wasting everyone else's time on your lame bullshit. No one wants to hear for the seventy fifth time. 'You know that guy CJ he designed this match to face Devin in and he lost.' that shit will not cut it. If you can't keep up then move your ass out of the fast lane or stay the fuck at home."
CJ takes a drag from his cigarette and as he exhales out his nose he flicks the butt away. Taking in a deep breath and once again exhaling this time as if to collect himself he looks back at the camera.
CJ: "You might be fine with putting forth the minimum effort, But I'm not. You might be fine with being handed opportunities, but I'm not. I will work my way up the mountain so that when I finally sit atop it as The Man at least I can say I earned it. I didn't piggy back off anyone's matches or promos. I didn't politic and beg and plead for a damn thing. I did it on my own and I did it my way. Be original in your matches and promos, because you can't be me, you will never be me."
CJ pushes the camera guy out of the dressing room and shuts the door as the video fades out.
