I have a deep love for Batman, Deadpool, Punisher, Spiderman, Spawn, hell, most of these guys. Moon Knight for example is highly underrated IMO and I'd love to see them make a movie about him. But I gotta go with one of the more typical answers and say Batman, just cause the fact that a human can hang with the likes of Superman (AND kick his ass!), Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, etc, and still thrive, makes him exceptionally awesome. Plus I love the dark brooding characters, and I grew up on Batman comics and (obviously) the Burton movies helped a lot. That's not to say most of these choices aren't awesome either, though.

Well you know except archie and comboman those are just joke answers you can choose. I really love batman too, i don't care if he's overrated to some or what ever he's amazing and what he does is something special too. Plus he pretty much did it before all the rest so...
Also Moonknight is awesome too! i really like the crazy stuff that happens in some of 'em. He needs a movie bad and if rated r it would be GLORIOUS! Him, wolverine, iron fist, deadpool, and few others are teh only ones i like from marvel (not a big marvel guy anymore) I really like allot of DC stuff and Spawn is one of the best things IMAGE has ever produced.

It's entirely based on who is writing them to be honest. In terms of best idea overall? And my vote on the poll? I had to go SPider-man. But I love me some Scott SNyder and Grant Morrison Batman (also Loeb and Sale ... and the Hush story drawn by Lee) and Geoff Johns Green Lantern run (from Rebirth through Wrath of the First Lantern) is pretty legendary. As for my favorite character? Gambit.
If you can find a way to read the 90s Gambit (vol 3) written by Fabian Nicieza ... it is the best story involving Gambit and I am sad I lost the whole series in a flood.

Punisher hands down, and also it's Spider-Man not Spiderman

No superhero has captured my heart like Dr. Doom. If you're thinking that he's not a superhero, you're the reason we need superheroes like him.

...also it's Spider-Man not Spiderman He's right and you should feel bad! I do love me a lot of these characters, but Spider-man is my first comic love, and he's had so many great stories, so he gets my vote. But I do also like a lot of these choices. I agree that Moon Knight needs a movie, or a Netflix show. The Deadpool movie was nearly perfect. If you love Deadpool, especially the 90's stuff, you should seek out Lobo comics from DC, he's also awesome in the same sort of way. I think I own that Gambit run Dave, Gambit's stories have never been earth shakers, but they've always been fun. And yes, Geoff Johns Green Lantern run was fantastic.

he did debut punching Hitler in the face, and that's as American as apple pie. Is apple pie really an american thing though? and is PB & J's and mac n cheese an american thing? IDK but that's what i heard somewhere.

You're overlooking the most O.P. superpower of all.
Cash money.
Also Batman is the world's greatest detective, able to learn and remember many styles of martial arts, shows no negative reaction to all the kryptonite he possesses for handling Supes, is a top level coder, computer wizard, tech wizard, and inventor with near super human levels of stamina.
He may not be a superhero in name but damn if isn't hiding some C level mutant abilities ...
