Amazing little features make the storyline great. Like that part where you have to fight Khloe Kardashian's aborted featus. Fantastic comedy.
The new game let's you change the race of your character too, and the difficulty of the game goes up the darker your skin tone haha. What bastards those men are.

The combat it's self doesn't get harder, just everything else in your life, money, items etc, according to the devs. Which is even funner seeing as Token and his family are actually the richest people in South Park. Needless to say, yes I am hyped for this game also.

RE4 is the best one i've played. 3's controls suck major ass juice. The first few games were all like that, and while I struggle nowadays if I have to go back I really liked the "tank controls" back in the day. They worked a lot better with the pre-rendered backgrounds - which themselves worked, IMO, due to the fact that the games were based largely around survival rather than running headlong into a wave of enemies with an array of automatic weapons at your disposal.

Pre-rendered graphics coupled with tank controls were also pretty effective at ramping up tension and atmosphere. I even kind of liked it in Dino Crisis 2, which was an action game, for the most part. Though an RE4-type control scheme would have worked way better, if it had already existed at the time.

Definitely Beatle, that's what I also wanted to say but my early morning brain wasn't working properly! The static camera angles were great for making sure you only saw exactly what the developer wanted you to see. Whether it was making a key item prominent or making sure a scary baddie stayed hidden...

The grumpy old man in me awoke the other day when I saw someone refer to Resident Evil 5 as having 'tank controls'. Bloody kids.

I played and completed RE4 on GameCube, and loved it. Then got RE5 and actually screamed like a little wuss during the first level. With all the locals breaking into the hut you start in. So I bitch-quit.
Same happened with Doom, and a game called FEAR. I'm a little baby.

Oh original Doom was the jam! I'm talking about the new modern era version. Where graphics are realistic and terrifying.

I liked the new Doom I also like the image of Hyperion wussing out playing Resi 5 lol. I got a text from my wife when I was at work one day many years ago, letting me know she had started playing it. I got one shortly after telling me she had stopped because she didn't like the chainsaw guy killing her lol.

Only games to ever truly terrify as well as engross me are the Silent Hill series. Well the first 3 anyway. I remember our Friday night ritual staying at my friends house when I was about 12/13. We would get home about 3:30 from school and play Final Fantasy 7 while eating dinner, usually pizza or fish and chips. We would drink coffee, eat lots of terrible snacks and download guitar tabs (Muse, SOAD, Metallica) from the internet to practice on our crappy acoustic guitars. Then we would watch RAW or Smackdown, this was when the Attitude Era was right at it's peak, and when it got to about midnight, we would play Silent Hill. Could never get to sleep after that, just drank more coffee and pulled an all nighter lol. I always say that if I just took the cutscenes and put them together, Silent Hill 2 might be one of my fave movies of all time. I don't think I've played a game since then that really done the horror genre properly.

Don't like horror games but I've seen this Silent Hill 2 cutscene and it backs up your theory.
