AT XHF'S SUPREMACY 2022 EVENT
Hawke: Fans, we’re just moments away from what Cross Recoba has called an announcement that will send shockwaves through the XHF Network!
Randy: Lies! It’d have to be on the level of me doing Dry January!
[/center]
Morrison: I’ve seen brief glimpses of Williams, she dabbled from time to time in MMA but all reports I found had her off the radar until she reappeared late last year in FWA…
Recoba: She fell off the pulse a few years back, had her head turned by Hollywood and it spat her out but, and it’s a big ask, if she can recapture her form from a few years ago and convert the potential she displayed into success, she’ll be seen as one of my shrewder moves on the Free Agent market…
She takes her time, walking along the ramp facing apron before throwing her arm up in the air again in triumph before stepping through the ropes, making her way to the middle of the ring where she removes her hoodie before leaning against the ropes.
Bonnie Jenkins: Joining her…
The opening chords of “Big Shot” by RichaadEB slam into the speakers, bringing the fans to their feet as Jackalope charges through the curtain.
Bonnie Jenkins: Making his XHF Network debut. Fighting out of Las Vegas, Nevada and weighing a hundred-and-ninety pounds. He is the Chaos Bunny, Kid Cryptid…
He runs full tilt down the ramp and slides into the ring, rolling to his feet and spinning like a dervish as he soaks everything in.
Bonnie Jenkins: JACKALOPE!!!
He finally slows enough to mount a turnbuckle, a grin on his face as he salutes the fans before backflipping to the mat again
Morrison: I consider myself a student of the game but I wasn’t able to unearth anything on this guy beyond rumors about him signing somewhere. How did you come across him?
Recoba: Oddly, as he was based in Las Vegas, it was local knowledge and buzz that tipped us off to his talent!
Bonnie Jenkins: Completing the first team…
The opening lyrics of “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe” by Kendrick Lemar begin to play as the camera pans across the venue.
Bonnie Jenkins: Also making his XHF Network debut!...
It eventually cuts to show Wildcat up in the concession stands, walking through the door and into the highest row of seats on the ground floor of the crowd.
Bonnie Jenkins: From Lexington, Kentucky. He weighs two-hundred-and-eight pounds and stands at five-feet and eight inches.
He beats his chest before throwing up some middle fingers as he walks through the fans and makes his way down the stairs.
Bonnie Jenkins: The IRN FST, The Stone Cold Killa…WILDCAT…CAPONE!!
He gets about half way down before he starts walking through the crowd some more. Ignoring the hecklers and haters as he gets into the zone before his match. He gets a joint from behind his ear and lights it up, taking a few hits before walking towards the ring. He hops the barricade, moving in synch with the music, he looks around himself once more, taking it all in. Walking up the stairs he goes through the ropes and heads into the ring.
Morrison: Could he be your answer to Ishii?
Recoba: If they have the Stone Pitbull, we have the Iron Fist Wildcat!
Bonnie Jenkins: And their opponents!!
Bonnie Jenkins: Introducing first…
During the quiet opening of the song the lights go pitch back as the eerie bells and sounds fill the arena.
Bonnie Jenkins: From the Ninth Deep, standing at six-feet even, and weighing in at a hundred-and-ninety pounds…
Each time the choir sings, red spotlights blaze down, revealing Poena standing at the top of the ramp, a black silhouette with his arms raised out to the sides with his palms and face up to the heavens.
Bonnie Jenkins: THE SANCTIFIED ONE…
As the music picks up the red spotlights stay on him as he lowers his arms and walks toward the ring tossing pamphlets about his “religion” over the teeming masses as he walks down the ramp, his crazed smile breaking out into an even crazier grin as he does.
Bonnie Jenkins: POENAAAA!!!
He rolls into the ring as the spotlights turn to brightest white, going to his knees in the same pose he held on the ramp, either whispering a silent prayer to himself or yelling “REPENT!” to the heavens before smirking at the crowd and getting up to his feet.
Morrison: Here’s someone that I’m interested to see how he fares tonight. As late as November he was being listed on the FIRESIDE roster but, for whatever reason, he didn’t seem to get a fair crack of the whip!
Recoba: That’s exactly why we approached him. Some companies will only go for the marquee names, only go for the proven commodities, Tapout isn’t going to be one of those companies, we’re looking to find the value that others don’t see!
Bonnie Jenkins: Joining him…
The overhead lights slowly go dark as the first strummed chords of 'Hurricane' by Thrice fill the air, the crowd's cheers rising in response to the woman that is about to emerge. Gray lights flare into being around the curtain when the song starts proper, illuminating the outline of the Oncoming Storm as she stands with her shoulders square, her hands curled into fists at her sides.
Bonnie Jenkins: From Blooming Valley, Pennsylvania…
The wind machine is on behind her, blowing her hair around as her gaze moves over the assembled crowd and the surroundings alike... before it settles upon the ring.
Bonnie Jenkins: Weighing in at a hundred-and-sixty-three pounds..
As 'Hurricane' cuts to the chorus, she makes her way down the aisle, not shying away from the hands that reach out for her. Erin's focus never wavers, even as she grabs onto the ropes and hauls herself up onto the apron.
Bonnie Jenkins: She is THE ONCOMING STORM…
Wiping her feet, she climbs into the ring between the top and middle ropes before she heads to her corner, turning to rest her back against the turnbuckles.
Bonnie Jenkins: ERIN…GORDON!!!
Only then does she play a little to the crowd, a single fist thrusting itself skyward to earn more cheers as her music fades, the Oncoming Storm removing her title and handing it to a production assistant for safekeeping.
Morrison: For those of you new to the Network, don’t let appearances fool you - she brought a hard-hitting style to AWF that carried her all the way to being their last-ever United States Champion!
Recoba: You know, this was the easiest decision to make when hiring. I wasn’t a slouch in Ascension and she was one of the few people alongside Fox and Card to beat me in singles competition!
Bonnie Jenkins: The final member of the match!
The lights go down and the sound of people cheering starts to play. Spotlights come up in pairs, focused on the stage until “Stagefright” by Def Leppard starts to play as fog covers the stage and strobing purple lights play along with the song.
Bonnie Jenkins: Hailing from New Orleans, Louisiana…
Slowly a platform rises from the center of the stage, revealing a figure in an elaborate velvet robe, with "Tommy Strychnine" signed on the back in flickering LEDs.
Bonnie Jenkins: He stands at five-feet and ten inches, he weighs a hundred-and-seventy-five pounds…
Tommy spins around when the lyrics start ans shrugs off the robe, lip-synching along to the song and imitating playing guitar as he makes his way down the ramp, stopping to take selfies and give high fives to fans along the way.
Bonnie Jenkins: TOMMY….STRYCHNINE!!!!
When he gets to the ring, he poses on the turnbuckle with his guitar, pretending to play along with the song, before handing off the guitar to the ring crew and doing a flip off the turnbuckle into a powerslide as pyro goes off from the corners of the ring.
Morrison: We haven’t seen Tommy in an XHF event since his days in AWF, what can newer fans expect?
Recoba: You see, Tommy is the biggest showman in the match, it goes with the territory of being in a band known for their live shows. When I found out that he was open to returning to the ring, it was a no-brainer. I wouldn’t be surprised if he wins tonight if the Network feature the amazing match he had with Vincent Draven at Clash of the Icons 2020!
TOW Showcase Six-Man Tag Team Match
Ashley Williams, Jackalope and Wildcat Capone vs Poena, Erin Gordon and Tommy Strychnine
Ashley Williams, Jackalope and Wildcat Capone vs Poena, Erin Gordon and Tommy Strychnine
Morrison: With both teams in the ring now, it’s going to be interesting to see how they co-exist. I can’t think of any history between any of the competitors…
Recoba: What I found in hindsight was that, with little planning to do so, all the members of the Tapout roster are eligible for the XHF Junior Heavyweight title. With such a small difference in size, we should see an action-packed match with very few moments where a lull is in place…
Morrison: It looks like our referee tonight has carried out his pre-show checks…
“Big” John Quinn calls for the bell as this match gets underway. The two teams debate who will start, Tommy Strychnine and Wildcat Capone get the nod.
Morrison: Capone is a no-nonsense brawler but what surprises people about Strychnine is that he can mix up his technical prowess with the ability to duke it out with the best of them.
The two men circle each other trying to work out their first move. Wildcat takes the initiative and goes to land an overhand right but it’s caught by the rocker and turned into an arm-drag. Capone rolls through and approaches once more but this time is met by a Japanese arm-drag. Third time lucky, Capone rolls through and looks to step towards his opponent but Tommy takes him down with an arm-drag and keeps the arm locked in with an arm-bar.
Morrison: Strychnine is keeping the match strictly in territory that is his own between the two.
Recoba: He’ll be hoping to frustrate Wildcat. If you can frustrate a guy like that you’ll see him make mistakes.
Morrison: That might be true but Capone still has the ability to knock out his opponent if he finds the right window!
The larger man powers up to his feet and places a foot between the bottom and middle-ropes. Quinn starts a count for Strychnine to break the hold…
Morrison: That isn’t something you see a rookie do too often, he’s got a good presence of mind in the ring to know exactly where he is and how to break the hold…
Recoba: Is Strych toying with him though?
ONE…
TWO…
THREE…
Strych releases the hold but Capone takes advantage of his sportsmanship and lands an open-handed slap with no respect shown to the more experienced wrestler.
Morrison: A display of sportsmanship repaid with the exact opposite!
Recoba: Wildcat came up knowing that gang-life was a very real possibility, he’s not going to want to show decorum when he doesn’t need to!
Backing the Lazer Phyzycyst member into the ropes, Capone sends him across the ring with an Irish Whip…Tommy leapfrogs the back-body drop, coming back off the ropes the former AWF United States Champion slides through the legs of his opponent and lifts Wildcat up for an inverted Atomic Drop…WILDCAT CATCHES HIM WITH A SIDE-ELBOW TO THE HEAD!
Morrison: Wildcat manages to keep the momentum with him…
Recoba: This is the key to multi-man matches like this, they’re like running a relay - a strong first-leg can carry you all the way to victory.
Making use of the few seconds he has his opponent stunned, Wildcat unleashes a barrage of quick jabs and rabbit punches that Quinn tries to stop but the quick hands of Capone move on from the rule-breaking before he can step in. Seeing a gap, Capone whips Strychnine into the neutral corner with force.
Morrison: Again, a very smart move from IRN FST but should Quinn have stepped in beforehand?
Recoba: You’ve got to make it difficult for the officials to step in and that’s what Capone did.
Capone looks for a running back elbow…STRYCH MOVES! The Rocker is back on the offensive and pins his opponent in the corner with his own side-elbow. He follows this up with a rapid flurry of punches, forearms and kicks that drop the rookie to the mat. Tommy takes four steps back and raises an arm to the crowd who cheer in anticipation….CANNONBALL SENTON ON THE SEATED CAPONE!!
Morrison: Tommy used his experience there to change up his style and this could be the opening he needs to get into the match!
The cameras cut to the outside where Jackalope and Erin Gordon have gotten into a punch-up at ringside. Gordon looks to have the upper hand but a high kick is ducked…ASHLEY WILLIAMS COMES OFF THE APRON WITH AN ASAI MOONSAULT TO THE DISTRACTED GORDON!!
Morrison: It seems like Quinn has his work cut out with this match as the action is taking place all over ringside! Williams caught some serious airtime just now!
Recoba: With the roster I managed to get to sign pre-agreements, a six-man tag-match was the obvious choice..,
Morrison: I’m getting word that Twitter is convinced you have a seventh wrestler on board…
Recoba: The truth will come out when the card for our first show next month comes out…
Back inside the ring, Strych has Capone rocked from a stiff shuffle of jabs. He spots Wildcat’s legs momentarily buckle and immediately swings a stiff kick to the knee of his opponent…STEP-UP ENZIGURI TAKES CAPONE DOWN!!
Morrison: Wildcat’s inexperience is catching up with him as the more well-rounded Strychnine is switching up his styles at will…
Recoba: If you saw the rise of Strychnine in Ascension, you know he isn’t just a single-discipline fighter. Capone has some great raw attributes, it’s up to him to take each match as a way to grow his game. He has potential and I wouldn’t be surprised if he establishes himself as a player by the time we hit Supremacy 2023!
Tommy picks up his opponent and pushes him into his team’s corner, Erin Gordon is quick to tag herself in.
Morrison: Are they on the same page?
Recoba: I wouldn’t read too much into it. This match is no different to any other match we’re going to put on - every match has consequences and Gordon, knowing her how I do, is super-competitive and will want to make sure her name is on the show name next month!
Still reeling from the earlier attack, Capone is powerless to stop Erin landing a solid hook to his jaw. She tries to send him to the ropes but he hangs on and ducks under, short-arm back-elbow to the face of the Oncoming Storm!
Morrison: Wildcat escapes out the backdoor…
The cameras catch a wry smile on the face of the Blooming Valley native.
Recoba: I’m not sure it’s an escape…
Erin Gordon: Oh, yins wants it like that?
She unleashes a stiff forearm to the head of Capone, he returns the favour. She rears back with an overhand right, Capone eats it and takes a step back BUT RETURNS ONE OF HIS OWN! GORDON COMES BACK WITH AN OPEN-HANDED UPPERCUT…CAPONE MIXES IT UP WITH ANOTHER OF HIS OWN!!
Morrison: We’re seeing some fighting spirit on display!
Recoba: Will this work for both?
Morrison: Capone might need to take a breather, he can’t keep eating these punches without them adding up!
THE TWO START GRAB EACH OTHER BY THE HEAD AND START TO RAIN DOWN BLOWS TO THE HEAD WITH LITTLE QUARTER ASKED FOR OR GIVEN!!!
Morrison: Both competitors are going at it full-bore!
Sneaking in a swift knee to the gut, CAPONE LANDS A ROARING ELBOW AND FOLLOWS UP WITH A GERMAN SUPLEX BEFORE TAGGING IN WILLIAMS!!
Recoba: You see that there? That’s the potential I saw when I signed Wildcat! Spotted his window and made it count!
Morrison: How will Ashley capitalize?
Undeterred, Gordon tags out to Poena to bring him into the match.
Recoba: Now is where it gets interesting. Williams is in her first match of the decade and I can tell you for nothing - Poena has a point to prove and if I were in Ashley’s shoes, I’d be worried about what I’m standing across the ring from!
The camera catches the wide and crazed look in the eyes of The Sanctified One. In contrast, Ashley looks unsure of herself as she makes her return to the ring for the first time in over a year.
Morrison: Has Poena got into her head with a look?
Recoba: You’d like to think she’s stronger than that but Poena literally thrives on causing his opponents pain and suffering. I don’t envy anyone on her team tonight!
Working out her options, Williams realizes she can’t stall forever and unleashes kicks of ever-increasing height to Poena, she follows it up with a straight right but Poena catches it and takes it into a wristlock, using his free hand to bend the fingers of Williams back against themselves!
Morrison: The Sanctified One bases a lot of his offense on those little touches, small digit manipulation being a particular favorite!
Recoba: He has a combination that is scary to stand across the ring from. When I say he’s sadistic, it’s not a character - that is who he is. Combine that with the technical prowess he has and you have a recipe for absolute carnage!
Ashley’s face is a picture of pain and discomfort, she looks to try and get out of the move. She rolls through to try and untwist the arm but no sooner is she back to her feet than Poena has the hold reapplied and this time he pushes a foot into the back of the knee to drop her down…THE SANCTIFIED ONE DELIVERS A SICK SOUNDING SOCCER KICK TO THE BACK OF HER HEAD AS HE CONTINUES WITH THE WRISTLOCK ON THE MAT!
Morrison: Poena showing his adaptability as he drops Williams with a kick straight-out of the Xabi Alonso Thunderbastard school!
Recoba: It’s what makes it so hard to plan for Poena. Will he stick to a logical breakdown of his opponent or will he just set-out to main and cripple his opponent?
Morrison: He has put people away with a Cross-legged Kneecap Brainbuster, targeting that neck could be setting her up for that.
“Big” John Quinn is quick to drop to the mat to see what Williams wants to do. She vehemently shakes her head as he asks if she wants to quit. Poena expertly switches to a Fujiwara armbar, ensuring the fingers are bent back at every opportunity.
Poena: ASK HER, REF!
Morrison: Poena’s keen to do the referee’s job…
Recoba: That armbar is softening Williams up for the ‘Penance’ submission later in the match. He’s almost marking her…
Moving her body weight slowly, The Future of Women’s Wrestling tries to hook a leg around the ropes but Poena adapts his position to nullify her efforts.
Morrison: Excellent ring-control from The Sanctified One and Ashley must be asking herself what she needs to do to escape here…
CAPONE RUSHES THE RING TO BREAK UP THE HOLD WITH A KICK TO THE HEAD OF POENA!! JACKALOPE PROVIDES BACK-UP AND CUTS OFF STRYCHNINE WITH A FLYING HEADSCISSORS THAT SENDS THE ROCKER FLYING OUT THE RING!!
Morrison: SAVED BY HER TEAM!
GORDON JOINS IN THE FUN AND BLINDSIDES JACKALOPE WITH A RUSHING FOREARM TO THE HEAD BEFORE THROWING HIM TO RINGSIDE!
Recoba: We’ve got ourselves a lit powder-keg!
Capone meets the rising Poena with a kick to the stomach…WHIPPERSNAPPER THAT TAKES POENA DOWN!! CAPONE RUSHES AND HITS A SLIDING ELBOW TO THE HEAD OF THE SANCTIFIED ONE!
Morrison: Plucked from the Masato Tanaka playbook!
The cameras switch to Williams, now upright. She sees her team-mate, Jackalope, being double-teamed on the outside by Gordon and Strychine. She charges to the ropes AND LEAPS ONTO THE TOP-ROPE…CROSS-BODY TO THE OUTSIDE…
Morrison: Williams has gone airborne…
GORDON CATCHES HER AND SWINGS HER AROUND…STO!!!
Recoba: Gordon is showing what makes her so dangerous. She turned that cross-body block to her advantage on a dime!
Crowd: HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!!!
Quinn is trying to get Capone out of the ring but the rookie isn’t paying much attention…
ONE…
TWO…
THREE…
Quinn steps towards the wrestler who finally gets the hint and goes to the apron.
Morrison: “Big” John Quinn enforcing his will on Capone to follow the rules.
Outside, Gordon is scooping up Williams from the floor. In the background we see Jackalope duck a punch from Strychnine and leap up…SHOULDER-SPIN RANA INTO THE GUARD-RAIL!!
Recoba:The buzz in Vegas about Jackalope is that he’ll put his body on the line when he’s on the offensive.
Morrison: He made sure Gordon got all of that rana.
Poena is back to his feet and looks over the ropes to see Williams pinned against the apron, Gordon using her shoulder as a battering ram to her midsection. He motions for her to be thrown back into the ring.
Morrison: Are we seeing cohesiveness from the team of Gordon, Strychnine, and Poena?
Recoba: I’m not sure they’re a unit but they’re at least on the same page.
Dropping down for the cover…
ONE…
TWO…
KICKOUT!!!
Morrison: Ashley is down but she isn’t out yet!
Williams gets an arm up and keeps her team in the match. Poena twists the risen arm and lifts her to her feet as he sends her to the ropes…she baseball slides through his legs and looks for a high-kick, POENA DUCKS AND TAKES HER DOWN WITH A FLYING ARMBAR!!!
Recoba: He’s gone back to that arm once more. Not only does it put Williams at risk of that submission of his, it takes away the strength she’ll need to effectively use her End-Game Pedigree!
Quinn again looks to drop to the floor but, this time, Williams is wise to the move and uses her MMA skills to roll out of the hold and falls back into her corner where Jackalope is chomping at the bit to tag in.
Morrison: The Long Beach crowd are keen to see what Jackalope can do inside the ring…
Poena smiles and points at Williams as she exits the ring, marking her card, before nonchalantly stretching out a hand for Tommy to tag back in.
Morrison: Curiously, Poena leaves it to his partner to take on Kid Cryptid.
Recoba: I’m certain those two will run into each other before the match is through.
Strych throws up a hand as if to challenge for a Test of Strength. Jackalope doesn’t even consider the options before throwing his hand up to meet his. They lock up and Strychnine immediately uses the slight power advantage he possesses to push Jackalope towards the mat. His shoulders land flush…
Morrison: Tommy using his experience to manipulate the Test of Strength to his advantage.
ONE…
Jackalope uses his upper-body strength to power back to a vertical-base. Operating in the grey areas of the law, Strych fires a rapid kick to the stomach of his opponent and again bends him down to the mat…
Recoba: That agility is something that Strych is going to have to keep in check when he’s in the ring with Jackalope!
ON…
Before Quinn can even connect for the one-count, Jackalope has once more used his agility and strength to get back to his feet. He uses a kick to break the hold enough so that he can duck under the other arm into a wristlock..JACKALOPE LEAPS FROM THE MIDDLE-ROPE TO THE TOP-ROPE AND BACKFLIPS INTO A DDT!!
Morrison: Amazing show of athleticism and a hint at what he uses to put people away.
Recoba: Trust me, if you see him hit a Springboard Shooting Star Press DDT - you’ll understand why people were talking about him!
He immediately covers…
ONE…
TW-KICKOUT!!
Crowd: JACK-A-LOPE! JACK-A-LOPE! JACK-A-LOPE!
Morrison: Jackalope quickly making friends with XHF Network fans!
Feeding off the crowd, Jackalope runs off the ropes and delivers a driven Basement Dropkick to the face off the rising Strychnine before draping him over the middle-rope and lifting a hand to the crowd.
Recoba: This could be interesting, could we be seeing Buck You?
Coming off the ropes he looks for the Tiger Feint Kick BUT STRYCHNINE WISELY DUCKS OUT OF THE WAY!!
Morrison: Tommy had that scouted, he himself uses a Tiger Feint Kick too!
Striking before Jackalope can reset himself, Tommy grabs a waistlock and pushes his opponent against the ropes. They roll backward and through…RELEASE GERMAN SUPLEX!!
Recoba: We’re seeing Strych on his game tonight!
It’s now Tommy’s turn to drape his opponent on the middle rope. He charges the opposite ropes and looks for his own Tiger Feint Kick…
Morrison: Looking for Strych-One-Nine…
JACKALOPE MOVES AT THE LAST MOMENT AND GRABS A SCHOOLBOY!!!
ONE…
TW-
GORDON PULLS HIM OFF HER PARTNER!!
Morrison: Strych nearly got put away for the upset but Gordon was there to make sure her team remained in it!
Jackalope eats an elbow to the face but DUCKS THE LARIAT AND GOES INTO A SPIDER-WALK….SPEAR!!!
Morrison: DEAD MAN’S SWITCH!!
Recoba: He got all of that Toxic Spider Spear!
Poena has stepped in and grabs the arm of Jackalope before he can reset himself and twists it as he swings a stiff kick to limb of the Chaos Bunny. He hooks the other arm and delivers sickening headbutts to his opponent.
Morrison: Patented offense from the Sanctified One! Those headbutts aren’t held back in any way!
Both Williams and Capone rush into the ring but Quinn cuts them off. Taking advantage of this, The Sanctified One starts to bite the head of Kid Cryptid and follows it up with a Rabbit Punch to the throat of Jackalope to drop him.
Morrison: Poena not even attempting to hide his rulebreaking!
Recoba: It’s what you get when you step in the ring with him, he isn’t going to apologise or change his ways because, like most people with a screw loose, he can’t see how his views could be wrong!
Strychnine, having taken the time for a breather, sees his opponent down and heads to the apron. HE LEAPS TO THE TOP ROPE…
Morrison: Strych looking for something big…
ASHLEY WILLIAMS KICKS HIS LEGS OUT AND LEAVES HIM HANGING PERILOUSLY ON THE TOP-ROPE, SHE SKIPS INSIDE THE RING…ROPE-HUNG DDT!!
Morrison: Head Fuck Mk 1!
Recoba: Williams spotted the danger and that move has given her team time to reset itself!
Quinn is quick to try to regain order and forces Williams back to her corner. Jackalope picks up Strych and props him against the ropes before unleashing a sickening chop that reverberates around the arena. Wasting no time, the Chaos Bunny takes a few steps back and DELIVERS A LEG LARIAT THAT TAKES BOTH TO THE OUTSIDE!!
Morrison: We head to the outside as Kid Cryptid shows NO regard for his own wellbeing with that move!
Springing back to his feet, Jackalope whips Strychnine into the corner post…HE LEAPS TO THE APRON AND LOOKS TO LAND A RUNNING KNEE TO THE HEAD BUT TOMMY MOVES!! …PELE KICK FROM THE ROCKER!!!
Recoba: Strychnine is giving us a bit of a clinic on the benefits of in-ring experience!
Morrison: It’s the one thing they don’t teach you at wrestling school, it has to be earned!
Strychnine looks to capitalize BUT WILLIAMS TAKES HIM OUT WITH A BASEBALL SLIDE!! GETTING TO HER FEET ON THE APRON SHE HAS NO TIME TO BLOCK A RUNNING RANA FROM POENA THAT DROPS HER TO THE FLOOR!
Morrison: They’re going down like dominoes!
Recoba: I’m not sure we’ve seen all the thrills and spills yet…
The cameras show Poena winking at Williams with a manic grin on his face.
Morrison: We saw Poena make a point of marking Williams out for later and could that be what he meant?
CAPONE WANTS TO GET IN ON THE ACTION BUT GORDON CUTS HIM OFF ON THE APRON WITH A SUPERMAN PUNCH THAT TAKES HIM TO THE FLOOR!
Recoba: Let me tell you from first-hand experience, she has that punch mastered!
CAPONE LANDS ON HIS FEET BUT GORDON LEAPS FROM THE APRON WITH A LOU THESZ PRESS!!
Morrison: GORDON MAKING SURE CAPONE GOES DOWN BY HOOK OR CROOK!
Jackalope rolls Strychnine into the ring and waits on the apron. Tommy starts to stir…JACKALOPE SPRINGBOARDS ONTO THE APRON AND COMES OFF THE TOP WITH A SHOOTING STAR PRESS….
Morrison: Could we be seeing the El-ahrairah DDT?
HE LOOKS FOR THE DDT BUT STRYCHNINE ROLLS THROUGH INTO A GANNOSUKE CLUTCH!!!
Recoba: Strych counters with the Poison Pin!!
ONE…
TWO…
THR-KICKOUT!!
Morrison: Jackalope sneaks out the backdoor!
Almost in denial, Strychnine’s wide and disbelieving eyes are caught by the camerman. He shakes his head and sees Gordon waiting on the apron for a tag.
Recoba: The Oncoming Storm wants back in!
Erin comes into the match once more!
Morrison: She’s determined to stand out tonight!
Recoba: With two ways to get the first-ever Tapout Main Event; the more ring-time you have, the better your odds.
Jackalope appraises his opponent and hits the ropes…Gordon goes once more for a lariat but it’s ducked and Kid Cryptid leaps for a rana…GORDON THROWS HIM FROM HER SHOULDERS AND NAILS HIM WITH A STAN HANSEN CALIBRE LARIAT!!
Morrison: SHE NEARLY KNOCKED HIS HEAD OFF HIS SHOULDERS!
Recoba: You ever met a farmhand who didn’t have strength on their side?
Sensing the opportunity, Gordon hits the ropes…
Morrison: She isn’t looking to give her opponent a second to breathe…
WILDCAT CAPONE CATCHES HER WITH A ROLLING KOPPU KICK TO CUT HER OFF!!
Recoba: THE GET GOT KICK!
Both competitors are down…
ONE…
TWO…
THREE…
Both Jackalope and Erin start to stir and move to their respective corners. The cameras show both Williams and Capone and Poena and Strychnine willing on their team-mates in turn.
Morrison: This could be a crucial point in the match.
Recoba: Both competitors have just been put down with moves that target the head, their team-mates voices might be the surest way to get them to the right place!
Gordon reaches her corner first, Jackalope is mere feet away from the tag. POENA TAGS IN..
Morrison: Can Jackalope make the tag?
THE SANCTIFIED ONE LEVELS WILLIAMS AND CAPONE TO CUT OFF THE TAG!!
Recoba: Smart wrestling from Poena there.
The crowd sense that they need to rally:
Crowd: LETS GO CRYPTID! *CLAP* *CLAP* *CLAPCLAPCLAP* LETS GO CRYPTID!
Morrison: Jackalope has made a connection with the fans in his first match!
The camera focuses on the sadistic look carved into Poena’s face.
Recoba: That isn’t who you want to share a ring with right now.
Poena places a foot on the hand of Jackalope and grinds his heel into it. Jackalope’s body pops up in agony and that is all that is needed for Poena to find the opportunity to drive a knee through the face of the Chaos Bunny!
Morrison: Methodical, if cruel…
Recoba: This is what motivates Poena, at least in my mind, he’s not going to go for anything other than the most painful route to victory.
Enjoying the pace of the match slowing down, Poena drags up Jackalope by the head and lifts up his opponent into a suplex before dropping him carelessly onto his back!
Morrison: Moneyclip!
Recoba: Once more, Poena is headhunting with his opponents and teasing the lead to the Brainbuster.
The Las Vegas resident holds his back in agony and tries to sit up but he is cruelly cut off by a laser-guided running dropkick to the face before he can get his bearings.
Morrison: How can the Chaos Bunny get himself back in the match?
Recoba: At every turn, he needs to ask himself how can I turn this to my advantage. Currently, with his being grounded, there aren’t a lot of avenues open to him.
The Sanctified One starts to laugh to himself before hooking the arms of Jackalope around his legs.
Morrison: POENA LOOKING FOR PENANCE!
Poena: CONFESS!!
Recoba: If he gets this locked in, we could be seeing the end of the match!
He grabs the arms of his opponent and begins to bend them at an extremely unnatural angle.
Morrison: HE’S GOT IT!
ASHLEY WILLIAMS COMES OUT OF NOWHERE WITH A MISSILE DROPKICK TO THE FACE OF POENA BEFORE HE CAN LOCK IN THE FINISHING MOVE!!!!
Morrison: WILLIAMS WITH THE MUCH-NEEDED LAST MINUTE SAVE!!!
The look of anger is evident to all who see Poena’s face. Before he can take his revenge on Williams, STRYCHNINE LEAPS INTO THE RING AND GRABS A RUNNING BULLDOG OVER THE TOP ROPE, GUILLOTINING ASHLEY AS HE DROPS TO THE FLOOR!!
Recoba: WIlliams might count herself lucky that Strych got to her before the Sanctified One!
Poena grabs the leg of Jackalope who was trying to get to his corner and tag in Wildcat Capone. The Chaos Bunny tries for an enziguri but it’s ducked out of. The Sanctified One flips him into the air AND SPINS AROUND LOOKING FOR A COUNTER DISCUS ELBOW BUT JACKALOPE DUCKS…JUMPING CORKSCREW ROUNDHOUSE KICK CONNECTS!!!!
Morrison: UNLUCKY RABBIT’S FOOT CONNECTS!!
Scrambling while time allows, JACKALOPE TAGS IN WILDCAT CAPONE!!!
Morrison: Jackalope makes the tag!
Recoba: Can Capone turn the tide?
Like a man possessed, Capone meets the now upright Poena with a barrage of strikes and kicks. Staggering back, Poena has no chance in blocking a Roaring Elbow that sends him against the ropes. CAPONE CATCHES HIM AS REBOUNDS BACK WITH A SAITO SUPLEX INTO THE CORNER!!!
Morrison: Vicious suplex there!
Recoba: Capone calls it ‘Juicy’.
Keeping on top of his opponent, Wildcat lifts up the head of The Sanctified One and starts to unload with Kawada kicks to the face!
Morrison: Capone’s offense has a lot of nods to Japan.
Recoba: It’s the beauty of the Network, J-ROK will have influenced a lot of people who enter the wrestling business. I’m keen to carry that on and our business model is based on advertising events held by feds on the Network. J-ROK is high on that list for exactly that reason!

Morrison: She rushed into that one and paid the price. Poena goes back to targeting that arm of hers!
Williams is in agony and is helpless as Poena drags her to his corner and accepts the tag from Erin Gordon.
Recoba: This is bad news for Ashley, her opponents look like they’ve established a rhythm.
With Poena still keeping the arm of Ashley twisted, Gordon takes a couple of steps back and delivers a precision dropkick to the shoulder of the Future of Women’s Wrestling.
Morrison: There’s a target on that injured limb of Williams!
Williams finds herself being dragged into the center of the ring…ARM TRIANGLE CHOKE!!
Morrison: GORDON LOOKING TO END IT WITH THAT TWIST’ER OFF SUBMISSION!
Struggling in the hold, Ashley finds herself once more fighting to establish ring position and an escape route. Capone looks to step through the ropes but Tommy Strychnine charges and levels Wildcat with a stiff forearm. He grabs the head of Capone and guillotines him on the top rope.
Recoba: Great presence of mind from Strych, now what is he following it up with?
Morrison: Wiliams is still in grave danger!
Stepping through, the Rocker finds Capone teetering on the edge, CURB STOMP FROM THE APRON TO THE RINGSIDE FLOOR!!
Recoba: Outside of the whiskey bottle smash that’s a modified Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!

GORDON KICKS OUT AT THE LAST MOMENT!!
Morrison: That had to be a two-point-nine count!
Recoba: You fight til you hear the bell and have your arm raised.
Jackalope backs off, working out his next move but Williams tags herself in!
Morrison: Williams tags herself in but I’m not sure her team-mate was ready to take a place on the sidelines!
