First I would like to say that it was a great first showing. FaceTwatter is a really fun idea, and it would be cool to see how it can be used to further enhance the experience moving forward. It can be something that could set CWF apart from other feds in the network which is promising.
Best moment of the night for me was Jakie’s interview, but putting biases aside, the ambush of Joy by Joey Lazarus was a great moment as well.
While there wasn’t a “worst moment” per se, the show as a whole was a bit formulaic, and lacked some of the “wow” moments that I have come to expect from this type of fed. This is not necessarily a criticism, because the show was written well and was not at any time boring to read, but as we go on and grow in size, more surprises and memorable moments will be needed to keep everyone who tunes in excited for the next show.
Biggest push goes to Apathy and Joy toward the tag event next show for sure, as would be expected. The end of the show was very well thought out, with a build up throughout the event to the final reveal. Bravo to the team for that!
Worst match for me was probably Hart vs. Skeleton, but none of the matches were boring.
Dwayne has written for and collaborated in the past with Jakie, so he has, more than anyone, mastered the character and dialect in a way that I am not worried about his ability to write the character effectively into the matches.
For a “preshow” event, it was an excellent sampling of how the roster can be used effectively and shows a lot of promise as CWF continues to grow and improve.
