(The camera opens up to an old school interview studio with the UP Wrestling logo in the background. We see Donnie D. Falco standing, in a dark red polo and black jeans. Alison in a similarly colored red dress, and they both have smiles on their faces.)
FALCO: It is time, to recognize the future of professional wrestling. The storms are over, the clouds have parted, the sun is shining on the future of UP.
ALISON: School is in session, and Trixie Mars, you’ll be the first to learn the first lesson. Your Master Class has started.
(With that, a smiling Ron Masterson walks into view. He wears a black collared shirt, black pants, and sunglasses. His blonde hair is pulled back in a ponytail and sunglasses cover his eyes. He is all smiles as he looks into the camera.)
MASTERSON: That’s right, the storms are over. The “Thunder Kid” is dead, the old, washed up, tired hero is retired. There is no reason to do the right thing for anyone other then the three people standing in front of you right now, and Trixie Mars, you just happened to be the person who had a bad day. Let’s be clear, none of what is going to happen to you is personal. In fact, nothing about what I’m about to do to anyone that moron Wu signs to stand across from me is personal. No, I check personal at the door every day. What this is, is professional growth.
(Alison hangs on his side, smiling.)
MASTERSON: I’ve sat by and seen people like Pixi, Ruby, Bryan Black, Diaz, Nobody all line up and be given title shot after title shot. They get the accolades, the praise, the glory. And you know, there were times I even supported them and fought by their side. That lesson, that’s what I had to learn. You get personally involved with people in the business, you call them friends, they will leave you the minute it suits them.
(Masterson continues to smile.)
MASTERSON: So none of what’s going to happen is personal, it’s all business. But my business now is myself. If that means Pixi, Ruby, Black, Diaz, Nobody, and anyone holding a belt here in this place have to fall by the wayside because what’s best for this business is me on top, then so be it. You see I have God given talent, I’ve learned from some of the best, but I’ve always had a leash on me. It’s always been a glass ceiling. “Do the right thing.” “Help us out.”
(Masterson pulls the sunglasses off.)
MASTERSON: No, not today, not again. There’s no leash. There’s no glass ceiling. You see anyone who signs their name to an UP contract comes in second. I’ve been here before day one. I’ve helped build this promotion from the ground up. I’ve held titles but those reigns haven’t meant anything as long it was holding me back. True potential, what Donnie has seen, what Alison has seen, what Cage used to see but was clouded by limits like giving a shit about people. But now? It’s time for a lesson in what it means to be facing the best in the business. And Trixie?
(Masterson puts the glasses back on, smiling.)
MASTERSON: Your Master Class is in Session.
(Masterson continues smiling as Donnie D. Falco laughs. Fade out.)
