At a gymnasium, Armand von Krauss and “the General” Kestas Kasuba watch as Tarrasque works out on a bench press. He is lifting far more weight than a normal man of his build should be able to lift.
Kestas Kasuba: Isaac Hill will be ready for his match alongside me against those uncooperative bimbos?
Armand von Krauss: Of course! Though he goes by Tarrasque. He won’t answer to Isaac unless you’re family.
Kestas Kasuba: How quaint. You let him form his own opinions of what he should and shouldn’t be called?
Armand von Krauss: Of course not. He has not known of the name Isaac Hill until recently. I am curious to where you might have heard the name as I had not shared it with you.
Kestas Kasuba: I have contacts within the Warhammer Corporation that go back generations, Armand. I was a potential buyer of the program to give us a leg up on everyone else.
Armand von Krauss: The Lithuanian military?
Kestas Kasuba: I’m an old school Soviet sympathizer, A rmand. I primarily lived in Lithuania, but I answered to Moscow.
Armand von Krauss: What are your thoughts on Putin?
Kestas Kasuba: Russia should be proud of their strong leader who places the security of their great nation above the needs of the Ukranians. They should remember where their loyalties truly lie.
Armand von Krauss: You know that Tarrasque doesn’t like you.
Kestas Kasuba: I am not interested if he likes me or not. Will he perform his duties?
Armand von Krauss: He will fight with honor, General. He has respect for Joy and counts Apathy as a friend through the former connection through his original handler, Allen Anderson.
Kestas Kasuba: You did well to have him killed. You should have Marcus buried as well.
Armand von Krauss: Him thinking that I have Marcus in my sinister care is the only real control that I have over Tarrasque. If he thought that Marcus were dead, he would kill me. No question about it.
Kestas Kasuba: So, you do not have Marcus Anderson captive as you say?
Armand von Krauss: I do not, but Tarrasque doesn’t know that. I don’t even know if Marcus is alive after I had him tied up, muzzled, and thrown into a dumpster before it was taken by the trash truck.
Kestas Kasuba: What you’re saying is that Marcus could be dead or he could show up and reclaim Tarrasque for his own.
Armand von Krauss: I’d sooner see the both of them dead than lose control at this point. If Marcus does show up, he’ll watch as I have Tarrasque executed in public and then die himself.
Kestas Kasuba: Bold plan. I would hope that you would not have to go through it anytime soon.
Armand von Krauss: I left message on Marcus’ cell phone that should he find himself still alive and capable of getting the message what would happen to him and his precious Tarrasque should he return. Love. Love for this beast will keep him at bay.
Kestas Kasuba: Good. Have him meet me at the wrestling ring. I would test his prowess for myself.
Armand von Krauss: Right away. You know he fights hard, even in sparring.
Kestas just chuckles, heading for the changing room to change into his fighting gear.
Kestas Kasuba: It will be a test of your control as much as a test of his skills, Armand. Don’t fail me.
Armand von Krauss: Right. I will not fail you, General. You can count on that.
Kestas Kasuba: I know I can, Armand. I know I can.
