[ The following events takes place after the ending to "The Man Who Sold The World". ] || THE MANDELA CATALOGUE I. || CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT — — — NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK DECEMBER 26TH, 2021 It only felt right that after a year of him finally capturing and killing his alternate dimensional self that he’d have to call for him to be released into this world again, no Savannah or even Dominic or Nathan in sight, it was just him left alone. That’s exactly what he needed anyway tonight. To be left alone. This was something he was unsure how it could react from being able to gain control of physicality. As he stepped up to stand behind the curtain, he took a large deep breath and closed his eyes for a moment— and all it was for him was a moment’s blink, because once he had opened his eyes again? He stared out into the backstage halls, away from the curtain, and without his ring jacket. His gear seemingly being torn up into shreds by… something… and in the distance, he could hear the announcements being made for another match, one that was supposed to happen after his. In his mind, he could have only been imagining it, there wasn’t any way that one simple blink was enough for him to gain control without him noticing. Oh, come on, Jason. Don’t play dumb with us now, you know how you’ve ended up like this. This wasn’t how it was meant to be, he wasn’t meant to gain control so easily, it wasn’t meant to be like this. As he continued to stand there, he began to feel a little bit light-headed as he began to walk to the locker rooms. All of the staff inside of the building just stared at Jason as he walked past them, they seemed to have been scared of him, almost terrified as they tried their best to keep their distance with him. But he was so confused with the reactions people were giving him, he wasn’t understanding why anyone would have been scared of him, until a monitor caught his eye– showing moments within the match that made Jason’s jaw drop down low. He was staring at himself, levitating over everyone that was watching, and he wasn’t standing on anything. Even worse, he watched that inhuman strength being used against Steele– before hearing, and seeing, the snap of Jacob Steele’s neck before being thrown off of the cage. You don’t seem too proud of our work, I thought that this was what you wanted. Jason was disgusted, he felt sick to his stomach, he couldn’t watch on anymore but there was one thing that he took notice of that it seemed like nobody else has had yet… the glowing white eyes that was on Jason as he stood on the top of the cage and stared down onto the fallen Jacob Steele. As he stumbled into his locker room, Jason fell down onto the floor in a heap and seemed like he was about to pass out– but in that moment was when the entity of alternate Jason had appeared, dragging himself off of the floor and looking down at the fallen Jason where he rested. “You cannot tell me that what happened out there was what you had planned,” he exclaimed, pausing for a moment as he allowed Jason to lift up his head and pick himself up, only to be leaning against the wall in a seated position. “Hell, you said it yourself that you wanted Jacob Steele dead and buried and I had given him the chance to see either heaven or hell– wherever he had belonged, I’m not one to be judgemental of where they belonged.” Jason is still trying to process what he had just witnessed with his own eyes, and even trying to process further into why everything had happened in only a blink of an eye– it just didn’t seem right that he was the one to become an overpowered entity that wreaked havoc on Jacob Steele’s lifeless body. ‘Jason’ sighed for a moment. “If anything to you, he’s still alive. I’d assume that you’d not like to have a murder body count to your name, would you?” “That…” he pauses for a second. “That’s not how that was meant to be. I don’t even know what happened out there, I just remember blinking and then next second— This wasn’t how any of this was meant to be, you fuckin’ used me to gain quick control when I never knew, and when you were done, you just threw me back into my body and gave me control again, made it feel like nothing ever happened. I don’t know how you did it but I never want that shit to happen again.” “Oh, so now you don’t want this to happen? Maybe you should have thought about that when you decided to release me into this world because you felt the need to find a side of you that you struggled to crawl back into.” Jason sat there and looked up to the almost transparent entity, slowly rolling his eyes before dropping his head down in shame. “You’ve released me into this world, Jason, and now you need to remind yourself of who I was and how I’ll forever act out to being. I had a vision, I had something planned out and ready to execute— you put a stop to that when you murdered me in cold blood-” “BECAUSE YOU KILLED MY FUCKIN’ MOTHER, YOU BASTARD!” “AND I’D DO IT AGAIN IF I HAD THE CHANCE TO, SHE WASN’T WORTH ANYTHING TO ME JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE THERE IS IN THIS FUCKIN’ WORLD.” A moment of silence quickly followed, the entity walked around the room – and even just passed through the couch that was left in the middle of the room – before looking back at Jason once more. “Until you’ve come to the realisation again of what I am capable of doing, then you’ll forever live knowing that I can just take over with the click of my fingers, and that’ll be your only weakness because… once I gain control, only chaos follows and I continue what I had planned on setting out before you stopped my plans.” As the entity passed through the couch again, he looked down and saw Jason trying to get back to his feet, struggling as he did but he was able to lean up against the wall and push himself up into a standing posture. Jason seemed to have been out of breath, or even just very heavy and far paced out breathing, as he stared down the entity before swinging for him and just connecting with the air. His fist passed through his head as he fell down onto the floor again, making the entity laugh at Jason for the complete humiliation he caused himself. “Fuck… you…” “Come on, mate. You know better than to try and hit me. Not in the state that I’m in right now–” The entity was soon interrupted by the sounds of the door handle rattling away and someone trying to barge through the door, before the door opened and Savannah stepped through, almost falling onto the floor herself. As she looked down in horror, seeing her fiance in such a horrible state. Savannah tried her best to help Jason back up to his feet, or to even bring him onto the couch so he could be seated there, but to her – Jason felt like dead weight. Literal dead weight. She was able to lift him into a seated position on the floor, resting his back against the back of the couch, as she knelt down to check on him. “Jesus Christ… what happened out there to you, Jason? That wasn’t you. That’s not the Jason that I know and lov—” she paused, seeing the resembling scars along his chest that were also on the entity that only Jason had just seen moments ago. She was completely frozen in fear and concern for Jason’s health. Savannah seemed to have turned into a panic mode but Jason held onto her arm and made sure she knew that he was in an okay condition. “No, you need to explain what has happened to you right now. There’s no need to be afraid of anything, you can tell me if someone’s attacked you or anything like that, I’ll make sure they suffer for putting their hands on you like this. I— no… this wasn’t caused by that, was it?” She’s smart, very quick to catch on now, isn’t she? Jason adjusted his positioning before speaking. “I seem to have been very well mistakened when I thought I had some kind of control over it, and it took over without me really knowing what happened out there, until I saw it with my own eyes. I don’t know how to explain it to you. I really wish I could. I just– I don’t know anymore.” Savannah brought Jason’s head down onto her shoulders, wrapping her hand around his head and gently bringing her hand through his hair. “Though I’m sure this might be the last thing you’d want to hear, I promise all of this will be okay. Just make a promise to me after tonight, if you don’t mind. Please, please, please, please… Just– please get rid of him- or even it- before it continues to hurt you even more than it has.” She hasn’t got a clue what she’s talking about, doesn’t she? Stupid, pathetic, weakling. “I can’t make promises to you, but I’ll do my best when I find myself having no use for him ever again.” “No, Jason…” she spoke. “You have to do it right now. Look at the state that it’s left you after just being in use for one night, it’s too powerful for you to handle and you don’t even know how to really control it, like it has a mind of it’s own and can take control of you whenever it wants.” You cannot let her tell you what to do. Remember what I have control over. Remember what I can do— “Okay,” a pause. “I’ll end it.” Jason took a deep breath as he began to pick himself up off of the floor, finally being able to find his footing as he leaned back against the couch, and finally giving himself some clearer vision after a few blinks. Tonight still felt a little bit… weird to him, but it was like what the entity had said to him, this was something he should have expected to happen, he should have known that it was going to be this way with him gaining control. Jason walked out of the locker room and headed to see some on-site medical staff, Savannah followed right behind him, but in his head… he could hear him. Repeating the same sentence over and over again. Just remember, this was only the beginning of a new reign. — — — NORTH CANTON, OHIO JANUARY 21ST, 2022 Something about this just felt right. There was just something about being the brand new Ascension Champion that just felt right within the soul of Jason Long- it might have been the hatred that boiled over for months against someone like Robi Sorrenson before she was ultimately fired from the company over some racist remarks against Savannah that made Jason think it felt right, or maybe it had been the fact that after months of trying so hard to become The King again and trying so hard to reclaim the name -- or even the throne that he had left behind when he lost the Prime Championship to Havoc -- before finally finding himself once again as the record breaker, the history maker, the first-ever Project: Honor Triple Crown Champion. Hell, just making True Society suffer might have made this victory of his more worth it than ever before. Though Jason hasn't got much recollection of the match itself, all he could remember were those few seconds after the match where True Society was defeated and remembering that what he held in his hands was the newest championship to his collection. Everything after that had faded to black just like it's always felt like whenever the entity had taken over. He might not have control over himself there and then, but a goal was succeeded and the goal was done, True Society was defeated and knowing what was awaiting them at the next show-- True Society was about to form the cracks that'll break them. There was a weird vibe going around the home as Jason had woken up, finally finding himself inside of his own body after what was thought to have been completely taken over by the entity- there seemed to have been no trace of the entity being near, no voice inside of his head telling him to do anything, and nothing around the penthouse home seemingly wrecked around the place- but it was very much quiet. Might have been too quiet around the home but it wasn't something that Jason had questioned at all. As he grabbed a bottle of cold water from the fridge, taking a sip from the bottle and looking around the home, the realisation soon kicked in- Savannah hadn't been seen anywhere, hell, he had no recollection of seeing her when he had awoken this morning. Jason began looking around the home in the hopes of finding her somewhere – just anywhere – but there was no sign of her around in any room within the penthouse home. Though he might seem to have been a little bit concerned about the whole disappearance, he’s beginning to chalk it up to something else– something harmless, like another episode of her sleepwalking. She’s had many moments like that where she’d disappear in the middle of the night, this is what all of this could’ve been. Jason went to the front door of the home and placed his hand on the handle to the door– and that’s when he came to the realisation of something. The door was locked, and whilst that might seem normal to any other day, he didn’t lock the door last night. He came home alone. Savannah had come and gone from the home before he even arrived as far as he remembered, at least, that’s what he thought had happened. Jason began to search the home again, checking every single closed space that there is in the hopes that Savannah is just hiding on him. But there’s no sign of her anywhere, there’s not a single sight of her around the place, there had to have been something– she couldn’t have just disappeared into thin air like this– there’s no way that she’d ever do this to him. Not right now. Not in this exact moment of time. In a moment of time when he needed her the most, this isn’t right of her to do so. This isn’t right of her to be like this. This cannot be happening right now. This can’t— …fuck. As he walked into the master bedroom of the home, he looked towards his side of the bed and noticed a note left on the locker right beside the bed, and already– he feared the worst. The marriage, the future, everything that they had planned out? All that he could ever think about inside of his ill-minded head? That note could mean the end of it all, and hell, he’s afraid to even come close to it in case the worst that he feared became the truth. But he had to, he had to make sure, he needed the confirmation of what he feared the most. Jason had stepped closer and closer to the locker beside his bed and looked down at the letter, the note, whatever the fuck that it was called—but one thing that brought a tear to his eye was seeing his name on the sheet of paper with the words “PLEASE READ” right underneath it. As he had opened up the sheet of paper and was about to begin reading, something had fallen out of the sheet of paper– looking down onto the floor, right where his foot was, rested the engagement ring that Jason had gotten Savannah for Christmas to truly confirm their engagement. The tears were beginning to build up in the eyes of Jason but he held them in until he began reading through the note. Those tears were falling down onto the page and beginning to ruin the sheet of paper and Jason… just continued to read through it, he continued to read and read and read– until he got to the end. There were a few words that caught his eye, a term that was used that he couldn’t help but to read over and over again, trying to figure out what it meant. I did what I needed to do… but what had she done that she needed to do? What was it that she did that would make sense later on down the line? What could she have done that made her do any of this? Was any of this necessary to simply end the engagement before it could truly even lift off like such? This wasn’t what was meant to happen, this wasn’t what was meant to go down, not like this—and within a split second, it all clicked inside of his mind. If he had feared the worst before, this was just on a higher level of fear. Jason reached over for his phone and began to scroll through Twitter, and within an instant he was hit with clip after clip after clip of the moment he truly feared the worst. From images, to video clips, to GIFs of the moment that the mask came off and underneath it was Savannah Sunshine. The newest member to True Society. And the more that he continued to scroll through, the more he continued to read through the reactions that came from the event– he saw the moment the entity struck, striking right at the heart of Jason Long, just like he has been trying to do for the past month or more. One punt kick right to the head. The pinfall. The end. And all that Jason can do right now is just watch in horror, knowing that final blow was the last he’s technically ever seen Savannah again. The end of the engagement, the end of a friendship and a relationship all rolled up into one, and knowing that whatever has cracked inside of Savannah’s mind has made her become the person that she has turned into. Making a deal with the devil himself. The entity might have been too much for her, but now, Jason has a death warrant for every single member of True Society to hand out– including her. As much as it pained him to realise. Taking a seat on the side of the bed and placing the note down right beside him, the tears finally came out and he was bawling. The pain was immeasurable and the pain was absolutely killing him from the inside. The knife being put right into his back, twisted, and then just being lodged into his back some more for extra effect, it was truly about to kill him with a broken heart. The entity had watched from a distance, seeing the pain and suffering that Jason was in and looking regretful. For the first time in forever, there was a look of emotion on the entity’s face as he watched from the door of the bedroom, but he didn’t bother to disturb Jason at a time like this– opting to walk out of the room and leaving him to let everything sink in. But as he sat there, his face began to distort– twisting to an out of shape and off-proportion face, beginning to grin largely, and now laughing. A screech comes from ‘Jason’ as his body begins to convulse, but soon enough, he jumps off of the bed and is brought back to normal. A look of complete horror on his face as he’s panting heavily, trying to figure out what was happening. Jason grabs onto the engagement ring and runs out of the room, shutting the door behind him and moving on from whatever that was that just happened to him. — — — LONDON, ENGLAND – EARTH VI JANUARY 24TH, 2022 With the recent events that have occurred over time in the past couple of weeks, and with it being just days away from Fallout XX— the entity had to make one final stop before closing down The Infinity Realms for good so he could truly achieve his ultimate status within New Immortality and become the God that he was destined to be. There was someone he had to meet before closing the gap between his original world and the world he was ready to conquer and overcome from any form of monarchy, someone that he just had to meet before saying goodbye to this world and looking to form a brand new world upon another dimension that isn't his- his daughter. It’s become clear as of late of what had happened to her, the ‘accident’ that the entity had caused over two years ago and what came from it– to the entity, it was the ending to the fourth world war within his dimension but to what this world is right now after Jason fixed the dimensions and erased all history of the entity’s antics, there was nothing that happened. The aerial drone bombing spread across the world in an ‘act of sacrifice’ as the entity had put it to Jason all those years ago, in the process of killing his fiance and his daughter with zero remorse on the fact. It’s what brought the entity to the crazed state that everyone’s seemed to have become accustomed to within recent weeks, it’s what made him become the man he is today, the entity felt– pity. Although all of the hard work was wiped away and the world was brought back to its original state– the deaths of many remained. Within the heart of London, a couple of miles away from where the entity first set off the bombings, was a park filled to the brim of many graves. Monuments, plaques, and many more all remember those lost in the attacks. The entity walked through the park and searched through every grave, finding everyone that was lost and seeing names that he doesn’t recognise– but then he found them. There they were. Hannah O’Donovan and Amelia-Jane O’Donovan. Side by side with one another as the entity had looked down onto both of their graves. A tear began to fall down the face of the entity’s face– the first time he’s ever been able to show some kind of emotion after so long, this feeling was very different from what he’s normally felt ever. The entity wiped away the tears that fell from his eyes, looking towards his daughter’s headstone and placing his hands down onto the grass right in front of it. “I… I am so sorry. I did everything for you. Please, forgive me when the time comes.” The moment of silence that came made the ears begin to ring a little, a small gust of wind passed by but nothing too much to break the silence, but then, the sound of footsteps through the leaves as they began to crack underneath the pressure of the feet was heard and they were getting closer and closer until– “Hey, can I help you?” The entity turned his head to face the man standing right beside him, long dark hair and a beard were the key features that the entity took notice of upon looking up at the man– and he recognised him. It was Hannah’s brother, Jack, in the flesh and not dead as presumed to have been. The entity began to rise up into a standing position and look dead into the eyes of Jack, shaking his head from side to side in disbelief as Jack just seemed to be confused at the man’s behaviour. “Who the hell are you—” Before he could even begin to finish his sentence, the entity lunged at Jack and wrapped his right arm around his neck, beginning to choke him out and then placing his left hand over his mouth. Jack began to shake as the eyes of the entity began to glow brightly- but then began to soon fade away, like it was being drained out of the entity’s body. Though, as the eyes of the entity fade from one man, the eyes began to glow more and more in the other. Jack’s eyes were beginning to glow just like the entities once did and it became apparent as to what was happening out of sight of anyone strolling by– the entity was transferring itself into the body of Jack O’Donovan and wiping away his soul to fill the void with it’s own. As the eyes faded from it’s glow in Jason’s body, it soon collapsed in a heap and was left laying on the floor below. Jack – or the entity even – was still standing, adjusting to the brand new body that it had given itself, and smiling away to itself knowing that it had worked. The entity had a body to himself, no longer finding himself being mistaken for that Jason Long. Time was slowly ticking away from the closure of the realms and Jason was still knocked out, the coma he had been placed in by the entity seemed to have been a deep sleep, and the entity wasn’t looking to take that body back. With a click of his fingers, the realm portal opened up and the new Jason Long walked through– finding himself back into the real world and now, closing the realm gateway for good. The original Jason Long laid there, completely lifeless, and his eyes blacked out. Dead. — — — |
