(Cliff Ragsdale is in the studio)
Ragsdale: Greetings everyone! Welcome to another edition of Cliffcast. I'm Cliff Ragsdale. This is my brother, Eric "Butch" Ragsdale. (Butch raises his fist in the air) And his partner-in-crime, Dillian DeHaven. (DeHaven gives a thumbs up to the camera)
Butch: Literally my partner in crime.
(All three of them laugh)
Ragsdale: Let's get on with the show. A few weeks back, I offered both Pixi and David Berg a spot on Cliffcast. Unfortunately, Pixi has had other commitments so she has not been able to attend. However, her agent has expressed that she is still interested.
(DeHaven chuckles)
Ragsdale: Did I say something funny?
DeHaven: Uh.....
Butch: I think what he's trying to say is that our group has had a history with Pixi. So why would she come on this show?
Ragsdale: Look, we've had our issues with Pixi. We've had some pretty heated battles actually. But she's a professional and she's willing to put aside our differences for a night as she debates somebody that she really has a problem with at the present time, Mr. Berg.
Butch: Is Berg willing to show up?
Ragsdale: He did say that he is willing to show up as well. On the next Cliffcast, our guests will be Pixi and David Berg.
Butch: At the same time?
Ragsdale: At the same time.
Butch: I'm bringing the popcorn! Dillian, you bring the beer!
(DeHaven smirks)
Butch: But what about Nathaniel and Brittany? You know Brittany doesn't like Pixi and Pixi doesn't like her. Is Larry invited?
Ragsdale: If it makes Pixi more comfortable, Larry is welcome to join her.
Butch: Will Brittany and Nathaniel will be here?
Ragsdale: That's yet to be determined.
Butch: We're gonna need a lot of popcorn. Dillian, you might not wanna bring so much beer. Imagine Pixi, Larry, Berg, Brittany, and Nathaniel in the same room WITH alcohol.
Ragsdale (changing the subject): Enough about that. Let's talk about the next Free For All as we're involved in some big matches. First of all, congratulations to Dillian DeHaven, who walked away with the victory on the last Free For All.
(DeHaven has a cocky smirk on his face as his chin is raised)
Ragsdale: Dillian will be in the Elemental Shield Match with four other competitors - Ron Masterson, Burn, Jester LeBleau, and Luthor Carbrey. Pixi will be the referee.
Butch: So that's why you're not getting tough on Pixi, eh?
(Ragsdale gives his brother a dirty look.)
Butch: Oh sorry.
Ragsdale: We expect Pixi to be fair and impartial, regardless of what she thinks of us. Any attempt by her to manipulate the outcome of this match will not be in her best interest, especially if it gives Dillian a disadvantage. Know what I mean? If this happens, we will seek retribution. However, I think Pixi is enough of a professional to realize that is is in her best interest to play it straight and narrow. Know what I mean?
Butch: I know what you mean but does she? I wouldn't trust her if I were Dillian. Dillian, do you trust Pixi?
(DeHaven smirks again but doesn't answer.)
Butch: You know what Dillian's thinking. He doesn't trust Pixi with the history they have and I can't blame him. I hope you're right, Cliff, and she's professional enough not to let her biases affect the outcome of the match. So what about his opponents?
Ragsdale: There are a couple of touch opponents in that match but nobody that Dillian can't beat. Isn't that right Dillian?
(DeHaven nods)
Ragsdale: I'd say the toughest opponent of that bunch is Ron Masterson and I only say that for two reasons: 1) He's a former UPW World Champion. Of course that was before Bishop brought the championship to new heights, but Masterson has proven in the past that he could win big matches, despite his many struggles afterwards. He seems to be on somewhat of a roll after his most recent attitude change. I gotta give him credit, I didn't think he had it in him.
Butch: So you think this is for real and he's not acting like a bad ass to cover up some weaknesses?
Ragsdale: Only time will tell but we won't underestimate him. Dillian will be giving his all and we expect everyone else to do the same.
Butch: What about Rain? This guy is like the little nugget that you can't get to flush down the toilet after taking a dump. No matter what happens, this guy is always in the thick of things.
Ragsdale: Jester is good, I'll give him that, but Dillian is better.
Butch: Did you hear all the shit he's talking about CJ Walker?
Ragsdale: He's talking so much shit about CJ that he's forgetting about his opponents in the Elemental Shield. If he thinks this is gonna be a cake walk for him, just a speed bump on his way to a shot against CJ, then he's got another thing coming. I don't think he realizes that Dillian is just as great of a singles wrestler as he is a tag team wrestler.
Butch: And I'm not?
Ragsdale: I didn't say that.
Butch: But I'm not there yet, right?
Ragsdale: You'll have your chance to prove yourself in the Iron Glove Match.
Butch: What the fuck is that match?
(Everyone in the room laughs)
Ragsdale: Nobody answered CJ's question yet, did they? (smiles) In any event, this is your shot to prove to the world that you're a great singles wrestlers as well. You have some tough competition....
Butch: Ruby? That old fart? Come on.
Ragsdale: There's Kid Diaz.
(Butch laughs)
Ragsdale: I wouldn't laugh him off. He has his off nights, but when he's at his best, he's dangerous.
Butch: I'm dangerous.
Ragsdale: Prove it!
Butch: I will! CJ, Kid Diaz, and Ruby! I may be the underdog in this match, you all might think I got no chance, but I'm gonna bring it all to the table. By the time this is over, you're not gonna know what hit ya. This match is mine! It's MINE!
(DeHaven laughs as Butch appears to have drank a little bit too much Red Bull.)
Ragsdale: Getting back to Dillian's match, it's taking place in an electrified steel cage. There will be dust and rocks on the floor, fire erupting from turnbuckles, and water fountains from the other two. I cannot think of anybody better than Dillian to be a part of this match. Dillian, you know a lot about fire, given that you used to tag with a guy who liked to play with fire, in more ways than one.
(DeHaven laughs)
Ragsdale: Look at this picture, everyone. (The camera zooms in on DeHaven as Ragsdale continues talking) Despite the hell he will be going through, there is no fear in his eyes whatsoever. He's not afraid of electricity, dust, rocks, fire, or water.
Butch: Who's afraid of water? Come on!
Ragsdale: The water is there to put out the fire. Dillian is also not afraid of his opponents - the "new and improved but still not great" Ron Masterson, Burn, Jester, and Luther Carbrey. And he certainly is not afraid of the referee. I like Dillian's chances in this match.
Butch: He's got this in the bag. Right Dillian?
(DeHaven nods and has a confident look on his face.)
DeHaven: Absolutely.
Ragsdale: There's one other big match we're in and that will be Nathaniel defending his Boyd Gaming High Roller Championship against Rain Blackhart.
Butch: Oh man! I like Nathaniel's chances in this one! Rain Blackhart. (laughs) How many chances is this guy gonna get to win a title? Can't they find someone else worthy of a shot?
Ragsdale: Who would you recommend? One of the Robinsons?
(Everybody in the room laughs)
Ragsdale: In all seriousness, this will be Nathaniel's toughest challenge yet, but at the end of the day, Terrance Christopher will find a way to blow it for his guy. This guy has proven himself to be a horrible manager and a horrible business partner, to be quite frank. Karma is about to collect.
Butch: Ha!
Ragsdale: Let's take a break. When we return, let's talk some music.
Butch: Yeah!
(Fade to black.)
