Is it just me or are feds Shutting down left and right. UP Wrestling, Fireside, it's kinda disheartening to think about. It is but sadly, it’s always been a part of the game. People have lives outside of the board (sorry, Mongo) and that’s always going to win. Equally, we’re approaching that time where the weather gets nicer and people aren’t as willing to sacrifice time outside with friends for the hobby. I do think, in some ways, the pandemic/lockdown situation of the last couple of years has actually helped produce a spate of new feds and faces but sadly, the churn for both is always there.

Granted, we did JUST get three new feds. It's the cycle of networks like this.

Yes two are closing but there are over ten active so I think it’s going to be okay.

I agree on all points made. And as vastly different as the feds are, the players are as well. True the nicer weather is coming and I'll go to the lake with family and friends, but then there will be those days (late July into early August) where my butt is staying inside because it's 100+ degrees in the shade, I fry like chicken.

As some of the folks have hinted at before, it's just the nature of fedding. Most feds (here or anywhere) don't have particularly long life spans. It's one of the reasons when I came back from exile that I launched the Network. Because feds do close, and the worst pain is when the members scatter to the wind.
As Scorps pointed out, we still have active feds, and three just launched and will hopefully do well on their own. So there's new options for people as the old places fade away. That's not taking away from the closing fed's legacies, because they brought us great content and a lot of fun- the benefit of archival is that we can keep all of those memories on record, lol.
I don't think it's fair to point towards any single factors that effect this sort of thing happening. Every owner has their reasons for opening and their reasons for closing. Circle of life and all, lol.
I hope everyone in both FIRESIDE and UPW (and any other fed that may be winding down) knows though that they're family. This is your home, or at least it certainly can be- and we're glad to have you around.
As we fade on one era a new one is beginning, let's not forget what came before- but also be excited for what is to come!

Yeah, it's nice having choices of where to go next. It can be a life disheartening when certain feds say they don't want you. I guess their OOC feelers got hurt by something I said IC.
