(Cliff Ragsdale is in the studio at the compound outside of Vegas.)
Ragsdale: UPW is no more but Cliffcast is still here and we are on the air! I'm Cliff Ragsdale and I'm here with The Sin City Disciples, Dillian DeHaven and my brother Eric "Butch" Ragsdale. DeHaven nods with a smirk on his face as Butch makes a fist and smiles. Both are wearing Sin City Disciple t-shirts. Also joining us is Nathaniel and his stunning girlfriend Brittany! Nathaniel is wearing a black Nirvana t-shrit and Brittany is wearing a black Guns N Roses t-shirt.)
Ragsdale: And returning to our studio is "Maniac" Mark Murphy. We're here to talk about some UPW memories and our future plans. So let's get to the main topic of discussion. UPW is now history and some of us are currently unemployed.
Brittany (disgruntled): How could they do this to us? We bought a house in Reno last year and now they're closing the doors on us. It's ludicrous, Cliff! You told us when we joined that this was a solid company. I told you that Elijah and Madame Wu were clueless. I told you!
Ragsdale: I know.
Brittany: Now we're back to collecting unemployment. You know we have bills to pay, right?
Murphy: There's always Sin City Championship Wrestling.
(The room goes silent as all eyes are on Murphy. He was suspended from UPW for attending a Sin City Championship Wrestling show late last year.)
Murphy: Sorry.
Ragsdale: Let's deal with the elephant in the room. Mark Murphy is joining us for the first time in MONTHS.
Murphy: Oh yeah!
Ragsdale: I've been asked for a long time where you've been and what you've been up to. You've been on special assignment. Why don't you explain to our audience what you've been up to?
Murphy: First of all, let me just thank you as well as the UPW owners for the opportunity to work for such a fine company.
Brittany: Why are you thanking them? We are out of a job now. Don't you understand?
Murphy: YOU are out of a job.
Brittany: What are you talking about?
Murphy: I have been hired by another promotion.
Brittany: YOU were hired by another promotion? Who in their right minds would hire YOU before they would hire any of us?! Don't tell me it's that BUSH LEAGUE known as Sin City Championship Wrestling. That promotion is SOOOOOO bush league!
Murphy: Sorry but I cannot say at this time.
Brittany: Oh come on!
Ragsdale: It's part of the special assignment he's been on. He's been doing reconnaissance for us. We thought that UP Wrestling had a bright future but we wanted to keep our options open in case something like this happened or if we decided to move onto bigger and better things. But in any event, you all know that I recently announced a benefactor to help fund our operations after Terrance Christopher and I went our separate ways. Let me just say that our benefactor was the same organization that Murphy has been doing some side work for as of late. As part of our deal with this organization, they wanted Murphy and he will be joining them very soon.
Brittany: Who is this?!
Ragsdale: We cannot reveal it at this time.
Brittany: What about Nathaniel and I?! Nathaniel was supposed to get a shot at the Openweight Championship and it never happened.
Ragsdale; I understand you're upset, Brittany, but let me assure you that I'm working on a new home for you and Nathaniel and I know you're negotiating with some companies as well. Nathaniel has shown the whole world that he has the talent to be a world champion in a major organization. It was only a matter of time before he would have been the UPW Champion. Even CJ Walker knew it.
(Nathaniel nods)
Ragsdale: So let's talk about some of our greatest memories here.
Brittany: Yeah!
Ragsdale: Was it the time that Public Nuisance debuted for the first time against Wicked and beat them?
(Murphy laughs)
Ragsdale: Did I say something funny?
Murphy: Remember that video we did? Wicked called it "Death by PowerPoint". (http://youtube.com/watch?v=P-qHzt3Z5OM)
(Murphy laughs manically and DeHaven laughs as well. Ragsdale has a serious look on his face.)
Ragsdale: I thought it was excellent marketing.
(Murphy suddenly stops laughing.)
Murphy: Sorry boss.
Butch: Speaking of Wicked.....I wonder what they're gonna do for work!
Ragsdale: There is always room for mercenaries in ANY organization. I'm sure they won't be without work for very long.
Murphy: Vile gave me their card.
Ragsdale: That's nice. So let's go over some of our other greatest moments. Was it the time that we ran Gerald Dragon out of UPW? This guy thought he was the next big thing.....but WE put him in his place.
(Murphy is laughing in the background.)
Ragsdale: I must admit that you played a big part of that, Murph.
Murphy: Last I heard, he was back in Nashville working for his old man's car dealership.
(DeHaven laughs in the background.)
Murphy: What about the time that Jack Ruby lost his hand?
Ragsdale: That was so much fun.
Murphy: He better hope we don't cross paths again!
Ragsdale: He really should retire if he knows what's good for him.
Butch: Is that a threat?
Ragsdale: No. I have nothing against Jack Ruby but you know what? I've always had questions about his relationship with Pixi.
Butch: I heard she has daddy issues.
(Laughter is heard in the room.)
Ragsdale: You're lucky UPW is closed and you won't have to answer for that comment.
(More laughter)
Brittany: What about that night when Nathaniel and I debuted and we smashed Larry's face into a mirror?
Ragsdale: That was awesome....the most magnificent debut in UPW history as far as I'm concerned.
Brittany: We made her look so ugly that she needed all kinds of plastic surgery to fix her face.
Butch: So did she have insurance or did she have to pay out of pocket?
(Brittany and Nathaniel laugh)
Ragsdale: You all know we ran Bryan Black outta here, right?
Brittany: Oh really?
Ragsdale: Nathaniel was too much for him and he knew that. We made this guy look like a complete ass, time and time again, and his wrestling career is officially OVER, thanks to us!
(There is clapping in the room.)
Ragsdale: What are you some other moments you guys can think of?
Brittany: How about all the moments where we all made Adam Miller our bitch?
Ragsdale: Great point. We OWNED Adam Miller.
Brittany: What about Kid Diaz?
Ragsdale: In the very early days of UPW, Kid Diaz and I had somewhat of an understanding but everything changed after he joined The Black Hand. Unfortunately for him, that wasn't a great career move for him. He did well for himself but no as well as he could have been. Imagine if he would have joined us. We could have been unstoppable.
Nathaniel: Imagine if Bishop joined us.
Ragsdale: I must admit that Bishop was great.
Nathaniel: You had a man crush on him. Admit it.
(Ragsdale throws his arms up in the air.)
Ragsdale: You got me. The fact is that he carried the Black Hand and they were not the same after he left. If there is one thing that I regret, it was not working with Bishop.
Nathaniel: You didn't need Bishop. You had me.
Ragsdale: True, but imagine if you were on the same team. We would have been unbeatable.
(Nathaniel appears to agree as he half nods.)
Murphy: What about the time the arena caught on fire?
(There is a sly smile on Murphy's face.)
Ragsdale: What a night that was. Are you claiming responsibility for that Mr. Murphy?
(Murph snorts as he tries not to laugh.)
Ragsdale: I'll take that as "no comment".
Butch: What about the time when Dillian won the Sin City Championship?
(DeHaven nods)
Ragsdale: He proved that he's not only a great tag team wrestler but a great singles wrestler. He would still be holding that championship to this day if XHF didn't screw him and make him work overseas in that bogus match!
(DeHaven nods again)
Brittany: Remember when we exposed Sound and Silence?
Ragsdale: How could we not? We got Larry and Bryan in trouble with her friends and I don't think their relationship was EVER the same again.
Murphy: What about when Cliff punched that XHF guy in the jaw and got suspended?
(There is awkward silence in the room and a few chuckles for a few seconds.)
Ragsdale: He deserved it.
(Nathaniel nods)
Ragsdale: So Nathaniel, what would you say is your greatest moment other than your debut?
Nathaniel: It was the night that I took Devin Bishop to the limit and we would have had him beat if it weren't for all the outside interference.
Ragsdale: Devin Bishop was great, perhaps the greatest in UPW history, but you proved yourself that night to be in the same category. It's too bad that CJ Walker had his 520th shot at the title before you had your second shot.
Nathaniel: I'd be known as the final UPW Champion right now.
Ragsdale: I wouldn't doubt it. I know Brittany is upset but I'm sure you'll find a new job with a very lucrative contract very soon. You didn't do bad for a rookie.
Nathaniel: I told you I'd have this place in the palm of my hand in a matter of months and I did exactly that.
Ragsdale: What a magnificent run we had here, boys. We may not have won as much gold as we would have liked but it was all about the money and the moments. We made money, lots of money, thank you Terrance Christopher for some of that, by the way.....and we raised a lot of hell. Many careers will never be the same again, thanks to us. So Dillian. What is your greatest memory?
(Dillian thinks about it for a few seconds.)
Butch: I know what it his greatest memory is.
Ragsdale: What?
Butch: It's when I brought his very first Harley Davidson to the garage for the first time and we took it out for a spin in the dessert and we hit 150 MPH.
(Ragsdale shakes his head.)
Ragsdale: You did?
Butch: Yes, we did.
Ragsdale: I told you not to do that. I had a lot invested in you guys and you are lucky that you came back in one piece.
(Butch laughs and DeHaven nods.)
Ragsdale: Dillian, what are your thoughts on all of this?
(All eyes are on the normally silent DeHaven. He's waiting for somebody to speak for him but nobody does. DeHaven suddenly cracks a smile and then begins to speak.)
DeHaven: Mark and I became friends years ago and we've been all over the world together. We came here and we crushed the competition. Wicked, Mark and Bryan, Jester and Ran, and so on....they all knew that we were the real deal and we could beat anyone on ANY given night. After we went our separate ways, Butch and I got together and we dominated the UPW tag team division. It was only a matter of time before we became UPW tag team champions.
Butch: There's NO doubt about that!
Ragsdale: You guys were on the cusp of greatness when management decided to pull the plug.
DeHaven: I'm gonna break script here and give these guys credit for giving us the platform to do our thing. Matt and Nick, thank you. To all the writers, thank you. To my friends in this room, thank you. To our competition, thank you.
Ragsdale: Dillian, I think you just said more here the last couple of minutes than you did for the past two years.
(There is laughter in the room.)
Brittany: I didn't realize he was so articulate!
(DeHaven does his usual smirk.)
Ragsdale: I have an announcement to make. We are closing down our Nevada headquarters and moving out. As of this month, we will default on our payments on this property and ownership will transfer back to Terrance Christopher as he is still listed on the title. Terrance, do what you want with this place. It's up to you whether you want to keep up with the payments or let this place foreclose. We're outta here.
Brittany: So why don't we talk about our future? We know Murphy already has a new gig but he won't tell us where it's at!
(Murphy has a sly smirk on his face.)
Ragsdale: I will say that I have been in discussions with numerous promotion. We may go away for a few weeks or a few months or longer, but we shall return.
(There is clapping heard in the background.)
Brittany: Other for Murphy, will the band remain together?
Ragsdale: That's kinda up to you and Nathaniel as that remains to be seen.
Brittany: Thank you Cliff for everything you've done for us.
