MAIN EVENT
NOMAD/Poena vs Erin Gordon/Brad Kane
The first ever tag-match to headline a Tap Out show and what a powder keg it is. On one side of the ring you have two men who went the distance at our last show. Poena's lack of discipline costing him the match and causing TOW referee, "Big" John Quinn to have have his finger strapped in a match he was only officiating. With NOMAD being the first to book their place into the Openweight tournament will he be content to do the bare minimum or will he want to make sure he gets a favorable draw? Poena is most likely the last person on the roster he'd want to be teamed with. The Sadistic One comes into the match knowing that a win keeps him in the points but keeps his partner's lead at the top to the same. His only way of shaving off some of the distance is by going for Move of the Night. A highly-motivated Poena and a nomadic partner who can almost quarterback the top of the table is an interesting match. Standing in their way of victory is Erin Gordon and Brad Kane. Both fighters represented Tap Out at the XHF Rumble and with a longer recovery and camp time, it could be argued they'll be raring to go. Gordon suffered in her win against Poena at the first show in the main-event. She got her arm raised but suffered shoulder and hand injuries that she'll remember and want to pay back. Opening up that first show? NOMAD vs Brad Kane and with Kane having come out the loser in that match it seems that the two partners have a focus each on the other side of the ring!
CO-MAIN EVENT
Adrien Cochrane vs Jack Diamond
In a match that could headline any card in the world, we see the debut of Jack Diamond and against "The Dropkick King" Adrien Cochrane! Both men were in the Rumble and reminded any fan sleeping on them that they're still amongst the premier operators on the Network. With only Tap Out Wrestling 5 for them to ensure they make the tournament this is perhaps the greatest example of "EVERY.MATCH.COUNTS!" Adrien found himself on the losing end of a tag-team match in his TOW debut and will surely view his first singles endeavour as the best way to start piling on the points with only two opportunities to make the Openweight tournament. He can put the roster on notice if he picks up the win against The Icon. For Diamond, his debut caused the message boards and social media feeds to buzz after the last show. With his hiring putting a spotlight on not just himself but the company, will the pressure get to him as he meets a fellow former X*Crown champion? Expect to see high-impact action between these two as both look to book their place into the tournament and seek to become the first ever TOW Openweight Champion!
Danni Anderson vs MYŌJIN
Danni debuted at our last show and pulled out an impressive win against Tommy Strychnine, the question is can she now follow it up when she faces MYŌJIN? Her combination of speed and lucha offense definitely got the crowd on her side and she pulled off the win with a double-rotation moonsault that wowed the fans. In this match though she'll be going against someone who'll see that speed and agility and will aim to systematically take it away from her as the match goes on. With MYŌJIN's contract expiring well in time for this match, fans can look forward to seeing what he could have brought to our last show against Close Collins. With his participation in NLW's G1 tournament as well as commitments for Infinite Pro Wrestling, can he keep his focus on the match or will Danni be able to take advantage of his strenuous and fully-booked dance card?
Jackalope vs Jason Long
Both men have had starts they'd want to rectify with a do-over in TOW. Jackalope came out on top against Tommy Strychnine in singles competition but found the team of Strych and Kane too much when he partnered with Adrien Cochrane. The rookie will have been sure to analyze the tape of the match to spot where his inexperience might have cost him. This match gives him a great opportunity against a future XHF Hall of Famer. Long was unlucky at the Rumble, leaving without the Tag Team titles that he started the night with. He also hasn't been seen in a Tap Out ring since our first show when Close Collins scored a massive upset against him. For Jackalope, a win might be just enough to get him into the tournament. For Long, the match is a way for him to make amends and beat the other rookie that resides on our roster.
Isabella Von Krauss vs Tommy Strychnine
Kicking off the show we have the debuting Isabella Von Krauss squaring off against Tommy Strychnine. IVK is unhinged if we're being polite, her debut saw her announce her arrival with her two (literal) clowns, interrupting the start of the show. Her strike-based offense is paired with a tendency to violence that perhaps only Poena can surpass. Any XHF Network viewer will have seen the lengths she will go to to win a match and her debut in Tap Out isn't likely to be an exception. Tommy will have to bring the years of experience he has amassed in the ring and perhaps even those years dealing with rowdy crowds to get something out of this match. He found himself the wrong side of the win in his last match but with points being precious right now, we'd expect to see more of the street-fighting Tommy has been known to deal in over crowd showmanship. The only harder job than picking a winner would be being the match official for the match. We're predicting that the night might just start with a Pier 6 brawl!
