”I knew my time in Philly was going to come to an end soon. I’d finally followed up on my promise to join the J-Rok roster. The President and I finally lost our tag team titles. The writing was on the wall for the end of my time there, but for it to end like this, with the doors closing. This was not how I expected it all to go down.”
The dynamic duo of El Combatiente and Javier move around the nearly empty apartment. EC picks up a picture framed and stares at it. Javier sees him out of the corner of his eye and says.
Javier: If it has sentimental value pack it up. If not toss it in the trash.
EC continues to stare at the photo what Javier said not seeming to sink in.
Javier: Just toss it in the box. We don’t have all day. We’re running out of time.
EC: I’m sorry. I thought I was ready, but things like this…
EC turns and holds up the photo towards Javier and the camera.
Javier stares at the satire photo.
Javier: When did that get made?
EC: Team building exercise early in the year. I’m going to miss stuff like this.
Javier: Stuff like that is not tied to Fireside of Philly. You’re still a team on the last show. You’re still a team for Call to Arms. You’re still a team even if you all spread across the Network.
EC: Yes, but it won’t be the same. President Kanyon and I were in the same place and that anchored us all to one spot. Now we’re going to be spread out, not there to have each other’s backs.
Javier: You’ll all still be there when you’re needed. Put that in the packed box and move on.
EC: You really think it’s that simple? Spike has found a new partner in an old comrade. Steve’s previous partner just joined him in REIGN. Now President Kanyon and I will be separated with no one to watch our backs.
Javier: Your cousin came all the way to Japan for you. President Kanyon has secret service and friends everywhere. You’ll both be fine. This isn’t about BANG! Bros. This is about change. You don’t know what it’ll bring, and you can’t handle that. Just know this, the more things change, the more they stay the same. Now, let’s get a move on. We have to get this wrapped up before they charge us for another month.
El Combatiente sighs and packs the photo away. He takes a look around the room and takes a deep breath and we fade on this scene and his life in Philly.
We open on a new scene. The dynamic duo of El Combatiente and Javier stand in front of a blank wall. The two look very serious and intense like they’re ready for battle. We watch them in silence before Javier finally speaks.
Javier: Usually this is where I run down my clients opponents. I tell you all what’s wrong with them and why they can’t beat my client. He, of course, adds his feelings on the matter as we go. Today, it’s going to be a little different. You see, if I were to run down every opponent in this match we could be here all day. Thirteen opponents. You heard that right. Thirteen opponents. The best and the brightest Fireside has to offer on one side, and the rest on the other side.
Javier waves dismissively when referencing Team Fizz.
Javier: We don’t have the time nor the energy to give each and every member of the opposing team a breakdown. So we have decided to use our time in another manner. You see, my client has enjoyed his time here in Fireside, and he has asked me to instead talk about that.
EC: Echaré de menos Fireside.
Javier: Personally, I couldn’t care less where we lay our hat and am perfectly happy getting out of Fireside. You see, my client sees Fireside as this magical place where the friends he made at last years Call to Arms got to work together and show the world how great they are. I see it for what it was, a place for Anthony Caffery to jerk himself. My client sees it as a wrestling company that boosted his stock after a long injury. In reality, this was a piss hole that Caffery used to try and make himself look like the good guy.
Javier pauses and shakes his head.
Javier: Charitable donations, giving a platform for people of all creeds, keeping himself out of the title picture. All to make himself appear to be something he’s not. He showed his true colors, though, when none of his teams would take out my client and the former President. That’s when the good guy routine left. He forced himself into a title match, and when he lost, he finally left the BANG! Bros. alone and moved on. I’m sure some of you will say he didn’t show his true colors until he turned on Adrien, but the writing was on the wall way before that idiot Adrien fell for the oldest trick in the book. Now the only reason this match we have coming up isn’t team Fizz vs team Caffery is because he has his eye on stealing something with a little more prestige.
EC: Gracias, señor Caffery.
Javier: You see, Caffery could’ve given any number of his roster members Fireside’s last shot at the Junior Heavyweight Championship, my client included, but instead he stole it for himself and invited someone he always wanted to face instead. If that doesn’t show you just how terrible of a place and what a tyrant Caffery is, then I don’t know what will.
Javier pauses and takes a deep breath.
Javier: But that’s how I feel. My client hold no I’ll will towards Caffery, even though the entire time he competed here it was Caffery’s sole goal to get the titles off of my client and the former President. He loved his time here and he will miss all of the Philly fans. I on the other hand cannot wait to get out of here. Before we go, though, my client is prepared to give you one last show. I hope you appreciate it as much as he’s appreciated you. He deserves it even if you don’t deserve him.
EC: Thank you fans. It has been my pleasure performing for you. One day I will be back. You can count on that.

And with that, we fade out on the last promo by the duo in Fireside.
