Cheez sits on the edge of his bed, after waking up.
"How, you feeling?"
Cheez takes a short moment to remove his C-PAP mask before answering.
"Well considering I somehow walked away from being sent through an Air Hockey table with nothing broken, pretty damn good. Do you know how much force Adam has to use to put me through that thing?"
"I can imagine."
"I bet you can, how's your shoulder by the way?"
"Slowly getting better, but the doctor says I'll be out of action until End of Days."
Cheez by now has gotten up and is busy pulling a shirt over his head.
"Damn, that sucks. So you won't be available for Call to Arms or Overheated."
"Unfortunately no, but I will be back in time for the Tag Team Eliminator.
"If they do one this year"
"That is if they doesn't put you in End of Days from it this year."
Cheese turns around and looks down a little confused.
"While I appreciate your confidence in me. I don't see myself being put in the End of Days Tournament, and besides, that's still a ways away."
Dunne just stands there, adjusting his sling.
"Now, now, don't count yourself out. You've improved a lot since the last time I saw you. And, you've improved a lot over these past couple months. So you never know. I mean anything's possible."
"I know, but I feel like you're just jumping the gun a little bit. Like, you're talking about me being in the End of Days Tournament and it's only May. We still have a long road ahead of us. I know your hurt, but currently, I'm having to do all this on my own, and I don't know yet. I appreciate you being confident in me, but I can't help, but feel like with every time I go out there. When I lose, I'm letting people down. I'm letting myself down. I'm letting my fans down. I'm letting you down."
Dunne walks over to Cheez, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Cheez can I be honest with you? Do you know the difference between you, and everyone else on the roster?"
Cheez looks at Dunne
"No, but you're probably going to tell me."
“Self-confidence, they believe in themselves. They believe that every time they go out to that ring, they're walking away victorious, but you don't do that. I said many times you beat yourself before you even enter the ring. Now tell me there has to be some reason why, and don't say it's because I'm hurt, that you're signing up for every match under the Sun."
Cheez coyly looks down at the floor.
"Because you're hurt. Question Mark?"
Dunne shakes his head why rolling his eyes.
"Dia ghràdhach, boy what am I gonna do with you?"
Chee says nothing and just stands there smiling like an idiot, while Dunne side eyes him.
"Okay, anywhozen...."
"You owe me a quarter."
Dunne looks over at Cheez confused.
"Wait... What?"
"Anywhozen is one of my Twitch catchphrases, you said it, so you owe me a quarter, now pay up."
"I'm not paying you anything. Now, where was I... oh yes. Now I will admit in the Rumble Match you did pretty well, you didn't win, but you did well for yourself. Then you issued an open challenge for a Penny Arcade Street Fight, which Adam Sanders took, and sure you lost, but you put a good fight. So would you kindly, tell me why would you would enter yourself into the Super Scramble match?"
Cheez pauses for a moment looking at the ground, before looking back at Dunne.
"First off, nice BioShock reference. And secondly, why? Do you really want to know why? Let me ask you something. How are most matches in wrestling won?"
Dunne appears to be confused at the question, but answers.
"Well in most matches usually by pin-fall or submission."
"Exactly, pin-fall or submission, one fall to a finish. Aside from your rare-type matches, like tables and ladder matches. Most matches are won when one person either pins the other one to the mat for three seconds or makes you the person to give up, correct?"
"Correct."
Cheez stands with his back to Dunne, before turning around with a finger pointed up.
"But this... This isn't a normal match, no, not by a long shot. See in this Super Scramble match, it's not about who has the last pin-fall, or the final submission. It's who has the most. Now don't get me wrong there are some talented people in this thing, including a..."
Cheez rolls his eyes.
"Mystery opponent, but the winner isn't going the biggest nor the strongest, but the craftiest."
"So what you're saying is if you need to cheat to win, then you may do so?"
"If it comes down to it, then yes. I mean, people may not like it, but I can't keep going on and hoping someone will give me an opportunity. I have to take it myself. And this match, it's right up my alley."
Dunne cocks his head slightly looking at Cheez.
"Care to explain? Cause I'm not quite following you."
Cheez smiles slightly.
"I kind of figured I would confuse you. So I'll say it slowly, so follow along if you can."
Dunne looks a little annoyed at the statement, but sits down and listens
'Dunne, this match is nothing more than a giant arcade machine."
"I'm still not following."
"Dunne this match, isn't about who scores first or who scores last. It's about who scores the most. It's a high-score challenge. Do you get it now? It's about who scores the most points, that is who will walk away the victor, and I plan on doing that. Even if I have to wait it out and wait for somebody hit their finisher, and then rush in and steal it. I'm doing so, and there's not a damn thing they can do to stop me."
"How, you feeling?"
Cheez takes a short moment to remove his C-PAP mask before answering.
