No Mercy
VS Tarah Nova | First Contact RP #1
You know, Jason Long is a good friend of mine.
I've known him for a while, since my first year in the big leagues in 2020. Despite the differences that we've sometimes had, we've always stayed on great terms. So, of course, when he asked me if I would be willing to wrestle at Infinite Pro Wrestling's first Pay Per View, First Contact… I said yes. Why wouldn't I?
I remember asking him just who I would be facing, and I specifically remembered a devious grin on his face before he told me, “If things work out, you'll see.” I expected that it was going to be a very interesting challenge.
…But I hadn't expected that it would be against Tarah Nova to become the Number One Contender for the Infinite Pro Heavyweight Championship.
Suffice to say? I was surprised and amused. After all, this? This is a match of a lifetime. A rare opportunity that may never happen again. One of the greatest wrestlers of this generation versus a veteran, a legend. Not only that, but to determine who will be challenging the inaugural Heavyweight Champion.
Isn't that so exciting?
I know not everyone here or you, Tarah, might be exactly aware of me in IPW- So allow me to formally introduce myself:
I am MYŌJIN. A prodigy. The rising name of the new generation of wrestlers here in the XHF Network. I am a former X-Crown Champion, one of the only to ever successfully defend that prize at XHF's biggest show of the year- Night of Champions. Not only that? I'm the one who revitalized the Junior Heavyweight Championship by making that division must-see again. Oh, and of course in that dead promotion that was run by incompetent privileged shitheads, Project: Honor? The longest reigning champion ever there.
You might be wondering, “MYŌJIN, why are you bragging so much? Why should anybody care about all of those accolades that are now in the past?” It's simple.
You, Tara, have a lot of catching up to do.
I have the utmost respect for you, don't get me wrong. After all, you gave my sister- YŌKAI- a chance in Slaughterhouse Wrestling. Because of you, she reached her full potential and has been on a warpath ever since. Though like I told Bloodied Fox earlier this month, I'm not interested in pleasantries. In that ring, I'm not here to be your friend and give you a handshake.
I'm here to take what I am owed.
Before I left and went on hiatus from XHF, I was one of the most beloved and recognized new talents that the Network has and will ever have seen. Yet just as immediately when I was sent home and held back by FIRESIDE, left to lick my wounds, I was forgotten about. I gave my blood, sweat, and tears to a place that took me for granted, and what was I rewarded with in return? Getting stabbed, getting held back by the egotistical cunt that was my boss, and most importantly? Getting overlooked.
I gave so much to fans that couldn't appreciate my talent, so now I'm here to take. If these fans refused to acknowledge me in their dumb, petty little yearly Award Shows- Then I'll force them to pay attention. I will bulldoze a fucking path through every single person that gets in my way, and right now, Tarah? You are the latest obstacle.
How long has it been since you've been in the ring, Miss Nova?
Sure, you've never stopped training- But do you really think that could prepare you for the real deal? For me? Let's face the facts, you're beyond rusty when it comes to a real fight. I'm sure that you thought this first match back was going to be a warm-up, an ease back into things. How unfortunate that Long decided to throw you to the wolves so, so soon.
While you were busy running shows and hosting tournaments? I've been traveling across the world, evolving and adapting with every match, becoming greater and greater. While you were at home, relaxing? I was fighting, spilling blood, and surviving wars against some of the most ruthless, deranged competitors in some of the most deadly, unforgiving matches.
This is your return to wrestling. I've been here this entire time.
And with that contendership on the line for the top prize within Infinite Pro Wrestling on the line? I'm not going to go easy on you. I'm not even going to be sportsmanlike. Fuck that “happy to be here” shit.
I refuse to be stopped by another old and outdated veteran looking for another chance in the limelight. I will NOT be your stepping stone, despite the respect I have for you. I will NOT let what should be mine be taken away from me again. I am going to give you the warmest “welcome back” I can think of by coiling around one of those legs with a heel hook and making you tap out.
I'll prove that, once again, the legends and the fan favorites are no match for me when I'm at my best. I'll make you and EVERYONE else recognize that just because I've been gone for a little while doesn't mean I've lost my touch. Tarah Nova, I'm not just going to beat you. I'm going to make a statement.
The Shining Star burns brighter than ever- and 2022 will be MY year.
NLW's G1 is mine for the taking. This match is mine to win… And soon enough, the Infinite Pro Heavyweight Championship will be mine as well, no matter who wins it.
No. Mercy.
