GIMMICK: A tortured husk of a man. Lost his money and respect in both wrestling and acting, squandering his potential in both. He has little beyond violence and vague ideals of taking control back of his life in some measure.

APPEARANCE: The days of dashing and handsome James Dragon are long gone. His body wracked, showing signs of decay due to neglect and his torso softening from copious alcohol use. His styled hair and beard now unkempt and frazzled giving him a more savage appearance and making him look much older than he is. He is still deceptively strong and agile, but his current physique is one of the many subjects of mockery he faces.

BIOGRAPHY
James Carson is a story of unrealised potential.
Prior to joining the network, Dragon had been a part of various smaller groups, often finding at least some success in each. Even managing to go undefeated in a couple whilst forging strong connections with his fellow wrestlers. AWF was his "big break" so to speak, as he flirted with an acting career before joining the rising midwestern promotion to high initial promise. Swiftly winning the XHF Phoenix Championship (a title he would hold a second time later) and shortly thereafter winning the AWF Midwest Championship (Prior to its rechristening as the U.S Championship). James Dragon was not one for settling however. Setting his sights on the World Championship from day one.
To further aid his rapid ascension up the ranks, he formed a group alongside long-time friend Scott Fargo and new ally from AXW The Anomoly (Who would later turn out to be XHF Legend and future arm amputee: Dylan Black). Together, they formed a rule breaking group of renegades known as The Zaibatsu Death Squad. Who proved popular enough to make all three men fairly well off from merch sales. Things were on a trajectory upwards until a roadblock at the worst possible moment. When James Dragon cashed in an opportunity to face Chris Card for the World Championship, and failed.
Despite putting up a valiant effort and coming narrowly close in an iron man match that earned critical praise, James Dragon was unable to pick up the win and become "The man". A loss that weighed on him much more than was outwardly obvious. Eventually, management tried forcing Dragon to face Scott Fargo which he refused. Quitting live on air with his partner and vacating the Midwest Championship in the process. After leaving AWF, Dragon had one match in AXW's final show. Defeating and unmasking Anomoly as Dylan Black, before ultimately deciding to retire from wrestling.
His loss of motivation showed, acting opportunities fizzled up quickly and while there was some initial interest from other wrestling companies, Dragon declined to take up any of them until, they too, fizzled away. What followed was a steady decline into alcohol and depression, a gnawing loss that could not be shook. Skills and physical gifts left unrealised.
Now, Dragon is a shell of himself. Returning to wrestling with little, if any, fanfare. Unsure of what he wants and desperate to carve out any sort of purpose in his life.
Carrying only remnants of ability, a long dormant bloodlust, and a deep. Deep. Seated hatred of Chris Card.
MOVESET, STYLE & ENTRANCE
FINISHERS:
- "Sin Fortuna" (God's Last Gift - While Dragon used to bridge it into a beautiful pin upon impact, he now follows up by rolling to his feet and savagely beating on the opponent's unprotected skull until ref stoppage.)
- "Sin Fortuna II" (Top rope God's Last Gift, big matches or against particularly hated opponents)
SIGNATURES:
- "Paradise Lost" (Cattle Mutilation - Doesn't really try to go for submission wins, it's mostly just to damage the shoulders and make Sin Fortuna easier to hit)
- "Settling Scores" (Repeated stomps to the head, generally gets so lost doing it the referee will have to intervene)
- "Harsh Reality" (Pee Gee Waja Plunge)
- The Headbutt Heard Round The World (Shushes the crowd and delivers a vicious headbutt hard enough for an audible thud)

- Either after playing possum or doing it outright, Dragon will generally deliver a punch to the opponent's throat before attempting the Sin Fortuna.

WRESTLING STYLE:
Dragon's style is that of a man uncaring. While still holding a very strong grasp of technical and chain based wrestling, many of Dragon's moves are simply vicious strikes, backed up through years of dedicated training and internalised hatred. He doesn't have anything against his opponents personally, usually, but he will always try to subdue them in the worst ways possible. Becoming a man with nothing to lose when the bell rings.

ENTRANCE DESCRIPTION:
"Shadowplay" by Joy Division opens immediately on the hit of the guitar and out comes James Dragon. No fanfare and no emotion as he briskly makes his way to the ring, beset on all sides by an energized crowd. His dead eyed gaze never leaves the ring.

The jeers or sympathetic applause do not let up as Dragon ascends the stairs and enters the ring, expression still a shadow. Only when he moves his back to the corner and flicks his hair up does he emote, letting out a short primal yell, eager to begin.
