“Possibilities“
The scene opens up with Eron Hunter sitting on a high chair, in front of the camera, his arms crossed on his chest. He looks at the camera, in a serious mood, and after some instants of silence resumes his speech.
“What are the chances of something happening? Are they equal to the chances of it never doing so? Is the evil in this world equal to the goodness in people´s hearts? If you ask me, I would tell you that the chances of something happening are there as much as the chances of it never doing so. That´s my opinion of it, that´s what I think and I stand firm and believe in what I believe.”
Eron pauses for a few instants, looking deep in thoughts, and then resumes again in a placid manner.
“What happens when light meets darkness? Is there a supernova right around the corner? I do not think so. I think light and darkness are two different sides of the same coin; they coexist in a tranquil manner. Goth, you say you are of darkness and never of light, but I disagree. Darkness and light are part of the same. There is light and there is darkness in each human soul resting on mother earth's soil. And thus, as such, there is light even in you, although you do not believe so”
Eron shakes his head and keeps on speaking
“Possibilities…
…The chances of something happening.
What do they amount, to when it comes to my truth? I think the chances of something happening are there as much as they do not. So, when I speak my mind and back my opinions up, are there chances of me being wrong? There sure are. Goth, I said you are depressive and full of angst, call it a deduction, I might be right on the spot there and I might not. I am not as full of myself as to believe my opinion is absolute. I know for a fact something though, my deductions have always been more on spot than not. But I might even be wrong.
Heaven knows, and I do not believe in it.
You say we have things in common, and if I look at myself from the outside and reminisce about the years passed, I might even be inclined to agree. I used to love, and still do, my black clothes. I adored the night and its star-filled sky. I highly thought of my solitude, and even if I have come to understand that no man is an island and never can be, I still love to stay alone near seashores or placid lakes.
I love my solitude, Goth, but no man is an island.
Now our paths might cross again after this match. And win or lose, each of us will still be thinking highly of himself. We both are talented fighters and this clash of wills is training for our upcoming duties in the ring. I think there are no losers in this bout win or lose because the experience gained makes up for the loss in the ring. One will lose the fight and one will raise his head and show the commonwealth championship off.
I will do everything in my might so that I am that fighter. But only heaven knows the outcome of this match and as I said, I do not believe in it. What I do believe in, and firmly so, is that one is the architect of his fate. That one has the right to live and experience his existence, the way he sees fit. Everyone has the freedom to do as he pleases until that freedom affects another human being's freedom.
That´s why I will never try to mock another human being for his way of living, that’s why I never will make fun of anyone for the way he dresses or speaks, or lives for that matter. You want to live your life your way and you say you will never change? Well, you are a bit wrong there Goth, for everyone constantly changes. The only constant in this life is change. You wake up one day, older, maybe wiser, maybe with grey hair or without them at all and you look back upon your life and your dreams, and you see your point of view is not the same anymore.
Maybe you lived that high life, maybe you did not. It can be that you achieved your dreams and maybe it happened so that you didn’t dream them dreams anymore, you dream about something else, completely different. You change, Goth, you constantly do so. Maybe slow, maybe slower but one irremediably does. No one is made of stone, and even stones change from the constant clash with Mother Nature.
Possibilities
What are the chances…
…What are the chances of me and you fighting together after this match, Goth? I would say they are slim, but I wouldn´t exclude the possibility. I said I love my solitude; it has become part of me, because of treachery and backstabber attempts from so-called friends. But I am not an extreme hermit. I know and understand that man needs alliances in this life. And if Sebastian Blood puts us together in a match against tag teams? Well, rest assured I will do my part and will do it professionally.
I know everything about adaptation and adjustment. One has to adapt in order o survive. This has helped me in my fights; this has made a champion out of me. It has brought in title belts and success. Now, you have had your share of victories in this sport, Goth. You´ve been around for a long time and have held your share of championships too.
Whose determination is stronger, that only time will show. Our next fight is one for the ages. And I will do everything in my might to overcome all the odds and emerge victorious. I know you will do the same. It is a clash of wits, guts, and strength of character, and at the end of overcoming the adversities. Who is the best out of us, that will be decided in Nottingham in our upcoming bout.
Will the darkness win...
..Will light triumph over Carnage and Monstrosity?
Time will tell.”
Eron turns his back on the camera, with this telling the audience that the time of words is over. The scene fades slowly to black
