“So we’ve now come to Decision Day now have we? Can’t say I would’ve expected myself to make it to this point but, heh, I’m not complaining that these old bones have managed to endure against the younger talents.”
Daisuke appears as the screen flashes, showing him leaned up against a stone wall. Evidently, sweat covers his torso and face, seemingly having finished a workout perhaps.
“Stuffed a clown back in its clown, and showcased what real honor and determination was to a man now trapped in his own delusions. Now? A man who has retreated into cowardice and doesn’t deign to proffer his hand as champion to defend his strap against me unlike the last match. Hmph…”
He shakes his head.
“Cowardice equates to fear, Scott. A mere grandpa wanders into America with a protégé under his wing and already he has beaten rather extraordinary talent and now you’re the last hurdle standing before me in order for me to initiate phase two of my conquest. You stand tall but your knees are knocking together, your stance is unsteady, and the feeling of impending doom is welling in your gut.”
Daisuke clenches a fist, holding it chest level.
“Even as a champion, you already know in your gut that you don’t stand a chance at halting me in my tracks. I already said that I was going for the top and that anyone who stood in the way of the Shogun’s Conquest would be subject to the blade without any remorse. After all, this is the land of Next Level Wrestling, and I’m more than capable of becoming next level. Perhaps even capable of setting the next bar, the next standard to desire and accomplish in this company.”
His head turns, spitting on the ground.
“Then there’s the scum that plagues the earth, yourself included, Scott. Parading around with a belt to your name but with no courage to defend it further after only one defense, claiming to be of a higher caliber than everyone else when you haven’t even made it out of the middle of the table. Spare the ego, and maybe I won’t fully break you in two once we hit the ring. Our match is going to serve more than a decider, it’s going to be a multitude of lessons that hopefully your hollow mindset can keep for later usage.”
Daisuke taps his forefinger to his temple.
“No one is ever as good as they claim and that’s because there is always someone to bash them with a reality check. The cowardly will always lose, and it’s the might of the courageous that prevails against all. That’s how my conquest won out back home in Japan, and it’s what will continue to serve me in my conquest here in America because I’m dead set on continuing to build a lasting legacy for all to remember. You…only deserve a swift execution…and I will make sure of it when we meet.”
