The view opens up looking out over a cliff, panning across a beautiful sunset to focus on Felix, meditating at the very edge with his eyes closed.
We are being granted another chance... Let's not squander this one.
Felix grunts in agreement with the oni in his mind, his other darker half.
I underestimated Fox the last time we fought. I will not make that mistake again. He is a serious threat that we must eliminate.
While also dealing with CURE-E. We don't know much about him, but the very fact he's in the ring with you and Fox speaks of his prowess.
Fox and Us. I know you wouldn't skip out on a fight if given the chance. Now, we must plan.
Felix shifts, standing easily off the ground and stepping back before flowing into a series of stances and strikes.
Fox is going to be expecting the same man he fought last time, and we can use that to our advantage. His style is similar to ours in some respects, so we can use the weaknesses we know about against him.
Don't get too caught up in that. He's a multi-time champion for a reason. He'll adapt and overcome. We both need to work together to keep him down. Take his head off if we have to. We need to work on counters to his moves, strikes, and grapples that he either won't see coming or won't be able to avoid when he tries his Air Vulpine or Bloody Rain. Some way to break the Configuration and crush the B4.
As the oni speaks, Felix's strikes become more brutal and forceful, the oni's influence obvious.
The other one is a mystery. He claims to be the best but never shows his face. Caught between Filth and a Blade he hasn't had a match yet go cleanly. He's yet to show his true potential without interference, despite the violence he promises.
Which makes him more of an unkown. I doubt it's another situation like Seth's, but we can't rule out that he might be what he says he is. Despite the number of people claiming to be the best lately. We will have to be ready for anything with him, practice getting out of a crossface as well... Oh, and all the ways to counter a superkick and make him pay for trying it.
Felix's movements, in direct contrast to the Oni's, are fluid and deft... He uses his arms and legs almost like whips to flick his strikes in with speed and precision.
Do you think we can do it this time? Can we overcome the odds and finally lay claim to a championship? So many times I've been on the edge of greatness just to falter at the last. I've tried to use it to motivate myself, but it becomes harder with each loss.
You were not whole then, Felix. You had not accepted the darkness inside you that everyone carries. I was different then too, raging and out of control because of being caged for so long and your Sensei's misguided efforts to contain me. Together, yin and yang, we can overcome them.
Felix exhales and nods, opening his eyes to reveal the change in them. One green and one purple, though the sharp steel of his gaze has only grown keener.
You are right; there is a time for doubt and a time for strength and confidence. Together, we are stronger than they are. Together we can out think and out fight them. I have to believe that or all the training in the world won't matter.
Felix sighs, turning his head to look out over the cliff at the sunset... watching it start to dip below the horizon.
Together, we can do this, Felix. Even if it's not this time, WE WILL MAKE IT. As surely as night follows day, we will hold a championship. I believe that, and deep down you do too.
Felix smiles as night creeps over the land, the oni's voice growing stronger in the darkness.
Let's show them the true strength of a soul in harmony. Let us show them a true warrior that will stop at nothing to win.
Felix turns, his eyes seeming to glow slightly in the dark as he begins the long walk home.
At Collision Course, Fox and Cure will face a unified soul… The karma they owe will catch up to them and break them against our might.
