MAIN EVENT
NOMAD (#1) vs Jason Long (#5)
Our main-event showcases two men in great form in Tap Out Wrestling.
NOMAD has the chance to make it a half-dozen matches undefeated and with each win comes a psychological advantage he brings into each match. He put away Adrien Cochrane last month, showcasing a violent and unforgiving side to his game that we haven't seen since he took down Brad Kane. Utilizing the ring apron, the ropes, and the crowd barrier, NOMAD was brutally efficient in his march to victory. Before the tournament began he had tipped Long to be a dark horse in the competition and now comes the time when he needs to make sure that he puts The Catalyst down and into the Losers bracket.
For Long, this match represents the hardest challenge he has faced so far in Tap Out. After a shock loss against Close Collins at our first-ever show, the Irishman has been on somewhat of a tear. Many remember the way he qualified for the match, delivering his Kingslayer from the top rope to put away Danni Anderson and he'll need to be every bit as ruthless to get a result from this match.
Both men will have their own dream matches after this, for NOMAD he can put away Poena to stop the Master of Digital Manipulation from having any designs on avenging his loss or he can take on Jack Diamond where both their undefeated records are on the line. Would Long prefer to avoid Poena? We're unsure but we can guarantee that we'd have one of the hottest tickets in town if Diamond and The Best Bout Machine squared off in an Iconic Civil War!
CO-MAIN EVENT
Poena (#2) vs Jack Diamond (#3)
Poena has never shied away from controversy. This reached a peak at our last show where, not content with beating Erin Gordon, he put her in an armbar with every intention of snapping her arm for no other reason than he could. If it wasn't for the interjection of Merric, he'd likely have achieved his goal. Fighting for his Saviour, it's impossible to tell whether we'll see a man hellbent on victory or purely out to see how much destruction and devastation he can leave in his wake. Faced with an opponent like Jack Diamond, the odds are good that the largesse and hedonism that exists within Jack Diamond and his club will push Poena to demonstrate that he is the most sadistic man on the XHF Network.
Diamond so far hasn't put a step wrong in Tap Out. With a record that reads three matches, three wins, two Match of the Nights it's safe to say that he'll be confident that he can expand on those impressive stats. One thing that has been asked of Jack is whether or not he has the stomach for the big matches anymore. With an unsuccessful X*Crown attempt and his elimination from the GUNS Fight Club tournament happening in quick succession, it's a valid point to raise. Can The Icon make sure that he's the one whose arm is raised at the end of the night?

Adrien Cochrane (#8) vs Isabella von Krauss (#4)
2022 will not go down in the history books as the best of Cochrane's career. Whereas previous years on the Network had seen him almost guaranteed gold at some point within the calendar year, this year has proven barren in terms of titles. What hasn't diminished is his work ethic, tenacity, and desire to succeed and this match will require all three of them for him to come out with a result. Knowing that he is one loss away from elimination in the tournament will either prey on his mind or spur him to victory. Will we see the Adrien Cutter claim another victim in the Daughter of Evil?
Conversely, up until our last show, von Krauss was in a rich vein of form. Aided by her two clowns to get her to the tournament, Isabella has exhibited a vicious and uncompromising wrestling style that is perhaps only beaten by Poena in terms of unflinching violence. Armed with what she calls the 'Official' Tap Out Openweight title and Hohoho and Humhumhum sure to be at ringside, she will fancy her chances in advancing in the tournament. She'd even be willing to bribe the match officials to get the result she wants.

Erin Gordon (#7) vs Close Collins (#6)
Erin might look back at the decision to not use her at the bracket-defining show as a reason for how she got the wrong side of the brackets, knowing her however she's more likely to curse under her breath and play the cards she's been dealt. Her form as dipped off slightly from the first few shows where she was easily the favorite to top the leaderboard come the tournament and after last month some critics might wonder how her camp will go. Having faced off against Poena, she not only lost but also had her arm targeted once more. The last time that happened she saw her first loss in Tap Out with NOMAD, will history repeat itself? If she can come into the match in any way close to recovered then you'd back her on the Vegas line.
This match is one that is perfect for Close Collins, whilst he was unable to best Diamond at our last two shows he has increasingly become one of the Blue Chip prospects on the Network since his debut at the start of the year. In every match he has faced he's been the underdog but those who have watched Tap Out from the start will point out that each time he enters that ring he is more polished and accomplished than the last. With a victory over Jason Long in his pocket we know that Close is more than capable of the upset, it's just a question as to when he becomes a force within Tap Out, not if.

James Dragon vs Sam Sawyer
In a battle of the victorious tag-team from our last show, James Dragon faces off against Sam Sawyer.
Dragon put in a performance that was effective as much as it was vicious when they overcame Wildcat Capone and Jenna Scyde. The intensity inside the ring was clear to see and the question now is - can he keep it up? The former AWF United States Champion showed signs of being near to his peak after time away from the ring and with the tournament taking away some of the more established names from him, this could give him the opportunity to become one of the stand-out competitors in Tap Out this calendar year.
Sam Sawyer isn't going to make it easy for him, they'll fancy their chances of reminding people why they were one of the most overlooked prospects on the FIRESIDE roster. The former Wildside Champion might not have gotten as much time inside the ring as they'd have liked at our last event but it's clear to see that the talent is there. Rivalling Erin Gordon in sheer pound-for-pound power, they complement it with the ability for the insane as we saw with her Double Sawyersault to the outside at the nadir of the match. Beating Dragon would give them a scalp to build their career in Tap Out from, it's down to the teenager to make sure that everyone inside the Lansky Ballroom knows exactly what they can do!
Tommy Strychnine/Jenna Scyde vs Wildcat Capone/Jackalope
Opening up the night is another tag-team match where the losing team find themselves on opposite sides of the ring. The team of Strychnine and Scyde brings raw athletic ability of Scyde together with the street-fighting, bar-room brawling Strych. He showed another side to himself last time out and it's led to many online speculating that he might tone down the theatrics that pleased the Tap Out crowds and instead dish out his frustrations on all who stand before him. Jenna's signing came out of nowhere but what we saw in the ring was someone who could become a franchise player on the Network. With a confidence that is almost unmatched on the roster, Scyde will want to ensure she walks away with the win this time out and to start her journey venturing up the Tap Out Rankings chart.
Wildcat Capone and Jackalope are no strangers to one another, they were on opposite sides of the ring at the Tap Out Showcase match at XHF Supremacy. Jackalope is no stranger to Tommy Strychnine, with each man holding a win over the other since we began promoting shows. Kid Cryptid was unlucky in his quest to become the XHF Phoenix Champion but it showed that the early promise we saw this year still exists within the mysterious young man. Can he get on with Wildcat? The former gang-banger can mix it up with the best of them but he, like his partner, lacks the experience inside the ring. If they can get on the same page then we predict the results to be terrifying for their opponents.
A win for either team would see them open up a host of opportunities as we start to lose competitors from our tournament...
