Over the past decade it wouldn't take much for someone to find Gus Arnold on one of his day's off. If he wasn't sitting on the dock of his beachfront property with a fishing rod in his hand, you would surely find him at the five thousand square foot warehouse that he transformed into The premier training facility in Eastern Canada. 'The Warehouse' started as a place for young grapplers in the area to sharpen their skills under Gus' tutelage. Fast forward to the present, and Gus Arnold and his teachings are as relevant as anyone's in the world of professional wrestling. Would-be Canadian Champions would walk through the front door of the Warehouse to hone their skills, and find themselves sent all over the world at Gus' request to develop themselves into all-world talents.
Along the way, Northern Pro Wrestling was born. A creation that Gus felt was long overdue, as professional wrestling in Canada had become an afterthought. After a strong four year run, Gus made the surprising announcement that Northern Pro Wrestling would cease operations after the biggest event in the company's history. The announcement left The Talent, The Wrestling Media and The Fans in a state of shock. Northern Pro Wrestling was a thriving business, which was garnering interest of grapplers from all over the world
So the question remained.
Why?
Why now? Without notice, or any indication of the company slowing down.

Gus arrived at The Warehouse on this day at around 11am, which was curious in itself. Typically Gus would be present at the crack of dawn to start his day. On this occasion, Gus was decked out in a 'Canadian Tuxedo' with a brown cowboy hat and boots to finish off the ensemble. A far cry from the variations of track-suits we're accustomed to seeing him in.
Upon entry, the three men inside of the warehouse immediately stop what they're doing and watch as Gus walks forward with some pep in his step. The three men are none other than the Eastern Elite duo of Gordon Carlson and KUMA. The other man present is Liam Beesley - Gus' head trainer that he brought over from Britain in 2017 to help mold the Canadian talent that was set to explode onto to the scene in the North American Wrestling Council.
Liam Beesley breaks the silence.
Beesley: "Boss. A word?"
Liam motions for Gordon and KUMA to take five and re-hydrate as it's clear that they've been going at it for awhile now.
Gus continues to walk forward towards his office. Once there, Gus tosses his keys on his desk, opens the blinds and looks over 'The Merb'. Beesley approaches, but not after contemplating his words carefully.
Beesley: "Just like that?"
Gus clears his throat. A grunt follows.
Gus: "Just like that."
Beesley: "What now?"
Gus continues to gaze over the long stretch of beach. He hasn't turned around, and doesn't appear ready to divulge too much. On the other hand, he knows that there are aspects of Northern Pro Wrestling that need to be addressed.
Gus: "I'm going to need you and Blake to go ahead and cut everyone their final cheques based on the house last night."
Beesley: "I meant, what about me? What about them?"
Liam notions towards The Eastern Elite duo that are doing their best to listen from a far.
The question lingers.
Beesley: "KUMA was just cleared after separating his shoulder in December. Gordon has been itching to get back into the thick of things. I had high hopes for the two of them challenging the Bastards for the Imperial Crown Tag Team Championships."
Gus finally breaks his gaze.
Gus: "I've already put in a call into International Influence. The Brothers Smith are still running shows all over Ontario. They can ship out in the morning and get their dates from Jon."
Beesley: "And Me?"
Liam waits patiently. He doesn't want to say or do anything that might bother the Patriarch of Northern Pro Wrestling.
Gus extends his massive bear paw.
Gus: "Put 'er there partner."
[...]
Gus: "We couldn't have had this strong four year run without you. As of this moment, I'm not interested in promoting professional wrestling, or keeping The Warehouse open to the public."
It was like someone just stabbed Liam right in the heart. This massive bombshell wasn't something that Liam was expecting, and he certainly didn't want to hear this. Liam does his best to hold eye contact as he finally extends his hand.
Beesley: "Th-Thank Y..."
Suddenly there is commotion near the entrance.
"WHAT THE F@$K is HE doing HERE?"
By the sounds of it, KUMA appears ready to strike.
Liam turns around to see what's going on. Gordon Carlson is next to speak.
"Are you here to gloat?!?!"
Gus: (Stern) "Calm down!"
Chaos appears ready to ensue.
Gus: "I invited him here."
"Take it easy Grizzly... You don't want me to yank that shoulder out of it's socket now do ya?"
We know that voice.
It's unmistakable.
[Oxford Osland.]
Osland: "Don't think that I won't send you back to concussion city."
Osland godes Gordon Carlson. Carlson had been sidelined for nearly a year with varying injuries including a massive concussion that he suffered in Destiny Wrestling.
Once Gus' words started to resonate, Beesley, KUMA and Carlson were perplexed. Gus Arnold was the man who forced Oxford Osland out of Northern Pro Wrestling in the summer of 2020. All of the dirt sheets claimed that there was immense 'heat' between the two of them. Suffice it to say, Oxford Osland is likely the last person that anyone would expect to see inside of the Warehouse. Especially today, after Gus Arnold announced that he was closing Northern Pro Wrestling.
Gus: "At ease gentlemen."
The tension is still there.
Gus: "Don't make me repeat myself."
Both KUMA and Carlson reluctantly take a step backward while maintaining eye contact with Osland. At which point Osland turns his attention to Gus and speaks to him with a shit-eating smile.
Osland: "Did you miss me?"
