LEGACY INDIE NICKS
HEIGHT 5'9" / 176cm
WEIGHT 143lbs / 65kg
HOMETOWN Glasgow, Scotland
AGE 30
BORN 8th of March, 1994
GIMMICK An ethereal mathematician who specialises in probability theory, dice, an indeterminacy-based philosophy on life, a broad and deep understanding of mat wrestling, a mind that thinks far too much at once and she can't stop it, and tea. It's a good source of Brownian Motion! She's also apparently read a book at some point
Random doesn't really vibe with luck in her life, or fate. Random's all about knowing all the possibilities, in descending order of likelihood. And being okay with most of what you think about that being pointless and redundant in the end. She can do a lot of improbable things, but she's neither supernatural, nor a witch. She just does sufficiently advanced mathematics. And once you've met her, you'd probably believe she can do enough to fool you
OR she got really lucky with her birth name and rolled with the natural gimmick
PERSONALITY an introverted nerd, with a personal philosophy on a life. a peaceful, zen-like counter to anger and anxiety and existential dread at the scale of the universe. Random has a mathematical, almost dreamy way of seeing the unknown future in terms of probability that seems to scale indefinitely. She prefers neither the light nor the dark, and likes to be in the gloom. The light can burn and dazzle, and the dark can shroud and disorient, but the gloom is perfect; enough light to see and be safe, but enough darkness that you can comfortably see the source of all the light.
Random talks in a soft Glaswegian accent, toned to accessible from ten years travelling the world, making towns and getting booked everywhere. She throws in the occasional obvious dialect word, irregularly and casually. It depends on the rhythm of what she's saying. She rarely gets angry or aggressive on the mic, tending towards a raised voice, slight pause and switch to a calm, assertive tone, or go dreamy with the mundane talk. Her promo voice tends towards floating dreamily between ideas, coming back later and d r i f t i n g off again to something else. Outwith that, she talks in a casually soft and almost deadpan tone. She pitches her accent to fit the situation usually, and she's usually always comprehensible
HISTORY Finding a route into an amateur wrestling club via her older cousins, Random found a talent for working out holds, building up through the junior ranks to the traditional "there's no money in amateurs, here's the pro school hookup" rite of passage at about 17 and beyond into a quiet reputation as an indie wrestler who'll travel the world, never complain about late card changes, never get involved in drama, and just quietly win matches, tournaments, most things.
Ten years on, she'd never really gone for any of the feelers she'd had from the big leagues. Always pleasant and polite, but always more bookings to work through. She travelled the world and saw most of it. She's wrestled from sunset to dawn in a one hour battle royale. She's wrestled four times in a night, but one was a battle royale, and one was a trios match she could chill for. Still won and got paid for all four. She's been to Belgium so much she's considered a casual part of the indie scene. Maybe she was too happy just quietly hitchhiking the territories, maybe she was scared to try... Maybe she really wanted to just go home and train the next lot, but with a lot of good road stories to tell?
One morning in a café in Rickmansworth, she realised exactly what she needed to do to make things right and replied to emails from the XHF and Tapout. Her friends took the piss for ages, but by Halloween she'd been signed and Lady Luck started to run out because she knew. The official video game dev team got a thesaurus out to rename the RANDOM CHARACTER option. She reached out to them by email and sent a list.
By the end of winter she was unbeatable, by spring people were forgetting her finisher even existed, by summer she was a real name and a real threat, and by the start of autumn she'd been stabbed in the leg for responding to a big boss's death stare with an armbar, lost two matches, but still been in full contention to be at the big shiny end of the Tapout card...
PICBASE Nicole Matthews
APPEARANCE Random is quite tall and looks it. Her body looks more toned and slender than muscletank, and her hair is light brown and shoulder length. She ties it back into a rough ponytail for matches. Random has green-grey eyes and is short sighted, so wrestles in disposable contact lenses. Her skin is fairly pale, not being someone who enjoys the sun
In the ring, she usually wears long tights and a halter top, in shades of dark teal-green, usually with a dicey motif or abstract, fractal designs like Mandebrot sets with white, grey and pale green accents ranging from chartreuse to cyan in hue
Her boots are white, with teal-green laces and soles. The outer ankles have teal-green dice spots. They never match, but they always add to seven.
Outside of matches she'll often add a dicey hair clip or accessories, and usually be in warm up gear at shows
BIOGRAPHY
From ten years of hitchhiking the territories, Random McConalogue has over twelve hundred matches' experience but probably wasn't your favourite indie wrestler. You think you might have seen her; she'll be in a few of your favourite's cooler matches. Probably won a few, but you didn't mind. A lot of big leagues had an eye on her over the years, and were starting to think she was an indie lifer. A wrestler who was just never that interested in the biggest, brightest and most exposed stage, until Cross Recoba brought her to the XHF Network and signed her for Tapout.
Since then? She's gone on a streak and become hard to stop solo. She's pulled armbars out of nowhere and finishes out of sheer happenstance. She's been on network specials. She's run wild in battle royales with boots to faces like she was a foot taller. She's taken down bigger, faster and all everything else. She dropped a guy for wanting a sandwich. She's wrestled cats, taught cats and promoed with them. She's beaten names like Jason Long, Spike Kane and Poena. That was a DQ but it's still valid, but how could his name be absent when he's won the title and she was still unbeaten? And how could his name be followed by anything but hers?

ENTRANCE DESCRIPTION
The fade eases to a stop, turning teal green and bathing the audience and ring in an eerie gloom
The bass gliiiides, the drums hit and Random McConalogue appears, a large towel tied to her wrist, shoulders lightly swaying as she walks. Serene and calm, she casually strolls, shoulders lightly oscillating in a slow sync. Her body is calm and relaxed, like a moonlight walk in the park, but her gaze is fixed, staring at the empty ring/her opposition1 with snake eyes. She's never in a hurry, she doesn't need to be.

OTHER MOVES
MOVES SHE NEVER USES
TAUNTS
- Diceroll (an inward Rolling Cutter with a snap~ to it. The fairest roll there is, because it always comes up Random)
- Total Perspective Vortex (a Muta Lock with bonus sensory deprivation. once it's locked in, she holds the chinlock with just her thumbs, slowly spreading her fingers onto pressure points of the face, enveloping the eyes, nose and mouth in darkness, with nothing but their place in the universe to contemplate. From the universe's perspective)
SIGNATURES
- Babel Fish Argument Tiger Suplex, she can bridge it normally, or roll into a Delfin Special pin with a June Byers bridge. the gracefulness is proportional to how hard it is to lift the opponent.
- Hyperspace Bypass a Poison Rana
- Infinite Improbability Drive Canadian Destroyer
- Somebody Else's Problem Rings of Saturn
- Shoe Event Horizon a snappy Big Boot with her stronger left foot. she can fudge it into a Pump Kick version to sacrifice some snap for more power against bigger opponents. Can land on the head, shoulder or upper chest as needed
OTHER MOVES
- Armbars. Lots of armbars. So many kinds in so many positions. There's a rumour she knows 42, and that's probably a good ballpark estimate
- The Unfashionable End Of The Western Spiral Armbar - a rolling armbar and her favourite flash counter. She can get to here from almost anywhere. Can be shortened to Western Spiral Armbar if needed
- Rear Naked Choke
- Heel Hook
- Double Underhook Body Scissors
- European Uppercut
- German Suplexes, many kinds. including releases, flip releases, elegant bridges and the rollover gymnastic crab bridge
- Dragon Suplex
- Wheelbarrow Suplex
- Northern Lights Suplex
- Moonsault
- Grasshopper Splash
- Dragon Screw, plus a mix of multiples and variants
- Hangman's Neckbreaker
- Drop Toe Hold, she loves this to set up ground submissions
- Leg Scissors into a Half Crab
- Rugby Tackle Spear, she wraps her arms and aims lower than a typical spear, at the pelvis and hips
MOVES SHE NEVER USES
- punches - why risk her knucklebones when there's palm strikes, chops, forearms and elbows?
TAUNTS
- coin flip, she flips an imaginary coin, ignores it and then shrugs. occasional, because it's not dicey enough to be a main
WRESTLING STYLE
A clinical mat wrestler with a strong amateur background, she makes the most of submission holds, and a precise and flowy catch-as-catch-can style with a strong base in European grappling. Gliding gracefully between holds, counters, well timed strikes and technically crisp takedowns, she can pull an ending out of nowhere; Her finishers are there as a final flourish rather than a goal to set up for
