Wrestler Information
Name: “The Punisher” Dan Stein
Height: 6’7”
Weight: 285 lbs.
Hometown: Detroit, MI
Wrestling Attire:
To the ring, Stein wears a black leather jacket, a plain black pair of pants, and a plain black t-shirt. He once used the skull of the ubiquitous Punisher but gave up the symbol completely after a trademark dispute. If you look closely at his forearms, you can see a very faint outline of what used to be skull tattoos he had removed several years ago. He also uses a pair of black hand pads with the fingers torn out, and a pair of black combat boots. Stein will have various joints wrapped for what may be currently ailing him. Stein brings a worn, taped up black club called the Peacemaker with him as well. Always wears sunglasses, inside or out, rain or shine- the only time he takes them off is while wrestling. Domino's dress varies, but she what she wears gets noticed as she is far more fashion-conscious than Stein.
History:
Dan Stein was born and raised in the worst parts of Detroit, growing up poor and hardened by the street violence around him. As he came of age, he turned his street wisdom and penchant for violent behavior into a lucrative wrestling career, including a very successful stint in Hardkore World. Eventually, the violence and physical toll it took in the ring finally caught up with Stein and he was forced into a somewhat early retirement. His business partner and manager, the lovely and wildly popular Domino, parlayed his wrestling success into financial success after he left the ring, where Stein has enjoyed a relatively comfortable retirement. After many years of successful surgeries and rehab, bored with the world and feeling a need to inflict pain once again, Stein returns to Hardkore World, fully healed and ready to fight. Even though she is loathe to admit it, Domino misses the roar of the crowd and rejoins Stein at ringside after a long hiatus.
Entrance Theme:
"Seal The Deal" by Volbeat
Wrestler's Entrance:
The arena darkens, and the reassuring tones of Ron Burgundy are heard.
Ron Burgundy: Ladies and Gentlemen, Hardkore fans of <city>! Can I please have your attention? I have been handed an urgent... and horrifying news story! The Danimal has entered the building!
The lights abruptly come on again and the crowd erupts. “Thunderhorse” by Dethklok plays as “The Punisher” Dan Stein and his lovely manager Domino make their way to the ring area, Domino smiling and high-fiving the fans while Stein walks to the ring with his sunglasses on and scowl on his face. Upon entering the ring, Stein thrusts up his trusty club, the Peacemaker, to the roar of the crowd.
List up to three strengths your character possesses:
1. Violent. At Stein’s core, he has a real mean streak in him, enjoying the pain of others more than a normal person should. He believes that inflicting pain is an artform. Was probably a CIA waterboarder in a past life.
2. Can take punishment. Age and masochism has brought Stein an enhanced ability to absorb punishment. If his adrenaline is pumping, he might not even flinch after getting hit with an object or a move.
3. Physically strong: Might be one of Hardkore’s strongest competitors.
List up to three weaknesses:
(For every strength, you must have at least one weakness.)
1. Hot tempered. Stein is not hard to read in his straightforward approach to violence, which can lead him into being manipulated by a clever adversary, sometimes rather easily.
2. Endurance is becoming a factor. Stein is no longer a spring chicken and despite being in some of the best shape of his life, 60 minute iron man matches probably aren’t going to go his way.
3. Lack of agility. For all the power Stein has, he gives up a fair amount of agility in return. He is quite agile for someone his size, but can’t match the speed and agility of many of the smaller competitors.
Wrestling Style: Power/technical.
Stein likes inflicting pain with his impressive strength, but also uses a surprising number of wrestling moves for a person his size. He is especially fond of neckbreakers, in all their forms.
