What sounds suspiciously like the theme from the 90's X-Men animated show plays while in the middle of the ring Burt Tennor is sporting an Iron Man mask and two Hulk fists on either hand. He appears to be doing karate.
Block: What am I even looking at here?
Fletcher: I'd call it performance art but I think art is a strong word.
Block: Regardless the fans seem to be cheering him on.
Fletcher: That they are. But why?
Block: It could be that they actually don't care about Burt- maybe our crowd is excited to be here in the X-Mansion for a night of white-hot action!
Fletcher: It could be, we've got two plates being defended AND another XHF global championship on the line!
Block: That's right! Tonight on top of the already exciting wrestling we'll see from our Clown and Big Top plate holders, Death Trap has brought his newly acquired wife and long-time partner, Mistress Discipline to REIGN where they'll be defending against the returning Daigo Arakawa and XHF Network mainstay Raiden Ishimori.
Fletcher: I wonder if Daigo will be able to keep his REIGN win-record alive tonight.
Block: It's hard to say.
Fletcher: Also, I saw a few other non-REIGN faces wandering around while I made my way to the table.
Block: Are you saying there will be guests tonight?
Fletcher: Could be, there's only one way to find out though folks! Stick around and watch!
Block: Oh! Oh! Burt looks like he's ready to start things off!
Burt Tennor: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the Clown plate! This is a Marvel Costume Match. The winner of the match will be the last remaining competitor with any of their costume still in tact.
The arena goes dark and then the screen flickers on and there appears a forest in the dead of night. a veiled woman comes out onto the stage with some kind of book, she begins speaking to it and then out in the distance a figure emerges closer and closer they come towards us. He gets half way but stops...that's when the music begins to play. Then the lights go out once again and when they appear back on The Jitterman is there next to the veiled lady otherwise known as Alice. They then slowly and methodically make their way to the ring and then lights eventually turn back to normal.
Block: This guys gives me chills.
Fletcher: Jitterman sure has a presence.
Block: And a long list of accomplishments here in the XHF Network.
Fletcher: But who is that from X-Man lore he’s dressed as.
Block: None other than the creepiest villain in the series, Mister Sinister.
Burt Tennor: And their opponent, hailing from parts unknown, this is Jitterman!
The image on screen drains of color. An insistent beat starts playing as null walks out, ignoring the fans. Then Trent Reznor's voice hits
"This is the first day of my last days"
A savage guitar sting follows and null walks on.
"I built it up now I take it apart, climbed up real high now fall down real far"
null times his walk so the lead in to the chorus hits as he has stepped through the ropes. He looks out, blankly, at the crowd.
"Wish there was something real, wish there was something true,
Wish there was something real is this world full of you."
Wish there was something real is this world full of you."
null slowly gets his referee check and returns to his corner.
Block: null has twice already represented Reign well in the Junior Heavyweight division, but he fell short each time.
Fletcher: Now he has a chance at a plate, but standing in null’s was is Reign’s newest signing and the King of the World.
Block: And of course null makes the boring pick of Cyclops to dress as.
Fletcher: Isn’t Cyclops the leader of the X-Men?
Block: The lame leader.
Burt Tennor: And their opponent, hailing from the rust belt, this is null!
The lights dim and the X-Man theme begins to play. Out comes four men dressed in a little more than nothing carrying EVK on a throne. They carry he to the ringside area and she steps straight off of her throne and onto the ring apron.
Block: The King of the World with an entrance fitting of a royalty.
Fletcher: And dressed as classic X-Man Beast.
Burt Tennor: And their opponent, hailing from Cologne, Germany…she is the current King of the World, Esmeralda von Krauss!
Marvel Costume Match
Clown Plate
Esmeralda von Krauss(c) vs null vs The Jitterman
Clown Plate
Esmeralda von Krauss(c) vs null vs The Jitterman
The trio circle the ring, all three watching the others to see who will make the first move. EVK is the first to break the stalemate as she stops and invites both of her opponents to come at her. Jitterman and null quickly oblige coming from each side of the King of the World Champion. Jitterman strikes first with a swift kick to the midsection, but EVK catches his foot, releases, and tumbles forward in a roll just before null swings with a forearm shot that nails Jitterman. Jitterman eats the shot and stares down his masked foe.
Fletcher: Do you think null’s vision from the Cyclops headgear caused him to nail Jitterman?
Block: I don’t know, but it looks like he’s pissed the new guy off.
null seems to be apologizing for the shot, but Jitterman doesn’t want to hear it and takes him down with a double leg and mounts him. Jitterman rains down lefts and rights on null grounding and pounding the masked man. Meanwhile EVK slips out of the ring and walks over to the announcers table. Jitterman stops with the punches and rips away at the headgear of null pulling off the Cyclops mask off leaving null in just his mask. null takes this lapse in attack as a chance to turn the tables on Jitterman and begins his own ground and pound. null rains down elbow shots until Jitterman’s Mister Sinister wig flies off.
Fletcher: Two competitors losing pieces of their outfit early here.
Block: Meanwhile our champion is joining us here.
EVK: Dhalings it’s nice to join you.
Fletcher: Shouldn’t you be in the ring?
EVK: Why work harder when you can work smarter.
Jitterman forces the masked man off and both quickly get to their feet and we’re at a stand still again. null reaches up and notices his head gear missing and begins to circle Jitterman. Jitterman motions for a test of strength, but when null reaches up Jitterman counters with a kick to the midsection doubling null over. Jitterman reaches down and rips the shirt of null. null reacts quickly with a punch to the midsection doubling over Jitterman. null then returns the favor by ripping the shirt off Jitterman.
Block: Both are down to just their bottoms.
Fletcher: This could be over without EVK needing to get involved. What is she doing there next to you Block.
Block: She’s using her knitting needles, to knit?
With both men realizing their down to their last item before elimination they begin to wail away on each other. A right from Jitterman, a right from null, another from Jitterman, and a response from null. The two wear each other out with shot after shot. Soon both competitors are down to their knees and still striking each other with all they have.
Block: Both men are just about worn out.
Fletcher: This match has been like a Vin Diesel movie, Fast and Furious.
EVK: Excuse me Dhalings, that’s my cue.
EVK drops her knitting needles at the ring announcers table and picks up the Clown Plate from the timekeepers table and slides in the ring. Jitterman strikes null with a head Burt and it appears to be the final blow as null falls forward leaning on Jitterman. Before Jitterman can take advantage he’s blasted in the back of the head by EVK. EVK then quickly removes the pants from both Jitterman and null in quick succession for the win.
Burt Tennor: Your winner by....stripping....AND STILL the holder of the Clown Plate........Esmeralda von Krauss!
Block: I guess that's one way to put it.
Fletcher: I wonder if REIGN's management set things up specifically so she'd either be stripped or be called a stripper.
Block: It is the Clown Plate after all.
Meanwhile in Hatley Castle’s dungeon, two Star Trek cosplayers are taking in the sights.
Star Trekker (into the communicator) : Captain’s Log. Star Date 2525. The journey to the maple galaxy allowed for the opportunity to binge watch the third season of Yellowstone, thanks to Paramount+.
Florida Man (playing with mace): What did I tell you? With the Yamaguchi Travel Agency, we have only the best streaming services- a complimentary bag of funyuns, and this behind the scenes access to REIGN! Rasslin’ fans would have to stare into the sun for DAYS to pass up on YTA’s sweeter than sweet package deals.
Star Trekker (into the communicator): Unfortunately a Gorn has found its way onto the ship’s manifest, and I fear this invasive species will have a negative effect on the fragile maple ecosystem.
Florida Man (steam shooting out of croc nose): WHO YOU CALLING A LORN?
The downside to travel with Yamaguchi Travel Agency seems to be the frequency with which it’s costumers find themselves drawn into title fights, as this Trekker now finds herself at the mercy of an enraged Gorn.
Cross-Promotional Match
J-ROK Yamaguchi Travel Agency Championship
Florida Man © vs. Star Trekker
J-ROK Yamaguchi Travel Agency Championship
Florida Man © vs. Star Trekker
Block: What’s going on over there?
Fletcher: The J-RoK champion that looks like a lizard appears to be trying to murder one of GUNS Streaming service mascots in another interpromotional match. Which we’re apparently treating as a title defence.
Block: I didn’t know this castle even had a dungeon. For offering such an exotic travel package... this Yamaguchi must be very good.
Fletcher: The verdict is still out.
The Star Trekker ducks under a mace swing, then tries to put Florida Man to sleep with a Vulcan nerve pinch, but he’s got too many amphetamines in his system to ever go to sleep. She leap frogs over another mace swing, pulls a suit of armour down to block a third shot – then unleashes a flurry of rapid fire kicks which Florida Man refuses to sell. He is not a classically trained wrestler. Finding her strength to be ineffective against the alien brute, the Star Trekker runs away.
Star Trekker (into the communicator): Wesley, his skin is too tough to take damage!
Communicator: Calm down, captain. We’re sending you a copy of the Anarchist’s Cookbook. In it you’ll discover recipes to fashion a crude explosive device.
Star Trekker (examining a list): Where am I supposed to find these objects?
Communicator: You’re at an XHF show right? I’m sure you can get all the things you need to make a bomb from the REIGN fans!
Exiting the dungeon into the crowd, the Star Trekker starts asking for baking soda and similar items, to forge a defence against the champion. Ducking behind some fans, getting fetch quest objects from others, the Trekker takes time to thank everyone and remind them that 1923 is premiering December 18th on Paramount+. Howling with rage at having his name mistaken for Lorne, Florida Man charges around the bemused and occasional bludgeoned crowds with designs to eat the tasty Trekker.
Block: Oh no, they’re coming this way-
Fletcher: The way she’s mixing those chemicals – she’s like MacGyver.
Block: I hope they cut this from broadcast.
Florida Man is moving in for the kill. Can Star Trekker complete the bomb in time? Just as the champion is about to brain her, some police show up-
Star Trekker: Oh thank goodness-
Communicator: Disengage!
The cosplayer’s thanks fall on deaf ears, as the officer promptly handcuff her and read her rights.
Block: What is going on?
Fletcher: They are taking her away? What for trespassing? Take the silly alien with her!
One of the officers says something to Burt Tennor, who nods then informs the audience.
Burt Tennor: Ladies and gentlemen, Star Trekker has been arrested on numerous charges, not the least of which are public endangerment, and fashioning an explosive device. As she is unable to continue, the winner of this match by forfeit- and STILL YTA CHAMPION, FLORIDAAAAAA MAN!!!
As the cops disappear, Florida Man climbs up on the ring and produces some party favours that he tosses out to the crowd.
Florida Man: Was there ever any doubt? Crystal Meth for everyone!
Before the joyful Floridian can pass out any sample meth, J-RoK owner Kira Izumi smashes him over the back of the head with a trashcan. Pulling off the can’s lid, Izumi shows the camera that at the base some C4 has been set. Just another day in Japanese death match wrestling. Before Florida Man can react, Kira pulls the garbage can over his head. The explosion is controlled enough that it only hits FML, though there is enough blowback for Kira to be knocked off his feet. When the dust clears, Florida is wearing the broken trash as a collar, his blackened lizard head smoking. As the Lizard spams on the mat, Kira grabs a microphone.
Kira Izumi: I am sick to DEATH of this monster making J-RoK look bad to the other XHF affiliates! REIGN! Please don’t think this tool represents my great company! In fact, I invite all of you to tune in to Raison D'Etre 3 Night 2 on December 31st, where I finally send his Sunshine State packin’ from the land of the rising sun!
The Canadian crowd is more appreciative of Izumi’s anti-American xenophobia than an American crowd might be. Coughing up fake gator teeth, an exploded Florida Man looks up at his embittered boss.
Florida Man (spitting out fake teeth): Kira... just tell me one thing...
Kira Izumi: WHAT?
Florida Man: ...Did you even fly here with the Yamaguchi Travel Agency?
Realizing the answer might make him look bad, Kira Izumi runs away. REIGN security helps the gator man towards waiting paramedics.
Burt Tennor: The following match is scheduled for the BIG TOP PLATE! As stipulated, this match will be sanctioned under Ladder match rules! First team to secure the plate will be the NEW REIGN BIG TOP PLATE OWNER!
Block: Two teams are about to face off that are no strangers to one another. Donzig-Gun and the Awesome Bastards have a history through the XHF, with Steve and Donzig facing one another on multiple occasions.
Fletcher: But tonight, they fight for REIGN prestige and the covenant Big Top Plate, which is held currently by Donzig.
Block: These two do not like one another. I expect this one to get out of control in a hurry.
Fletcher:
Burt Tennor: Introducing first, the challengers! Weighing in at a combined weight of 523 pounds!
The intro riff of “Flying High Again” by Ozzy tips through the speakers.
Awesome Bastards Logo appears over the screen to the viewers watching world wide. Tonight’s crowd in Hatley Castle, Colwood, British Columbia Canada were alive as the Awesome Bastard’s theme played.
♫Oh No. Here We Go Now♫
Rat Bastard and Steve Awesome come strutting out onto the stage. Rat has a beer in his hand and is trash talking the crowd on his side. Steve is crotch chopping and showing off his abs to taunt the crowd.
♫Momma's gonna worry
I been a bad bad boy
No use sayin' sorry
It's something that I enjoy♫
Rat insults a fan and threatens to slap them before gulping some beer and getting into the ring. Steve flirts with some guy’s thirsty wife then laughs in the dude's face before sliding into the ring. As Awesome stands up he notices a sign that says “Steve is my Daddy” as he looks down to see two young coeds holding the sign up and winks at them.
♫If you could be inside my head
You'd see that black and white is red
Flying high again
Flying high again♫
Both men hit their entrance poses in the ring as the music fades and their usual pyro is missing due to REIGN’s lack of professional pyro-techs on staff.. Steve provocatively strips down to his ring gear and Rat chugs the rest of his beer. The Awesome Bastards wait for their opponents.
Burt Tennor: Introducing the opponents! Weighing in tonight at a combined weight of 355 pounds! First is the Submission artist known worldwide, hailing from parts unknown, and the other is the Scourge of the XHF, the current REIGN’ing Big Top Plate Holder – DONZIG-GUN, Sinclair Godfrey and Donzig!
“River of Fire” by In This Moment plays through the venue speakers. The lights go down, and came up red as Sinclair walks down the ramp, pausing to lift her coat before she looks out over the crowd with a faint smile. Raising her arms up, she smugly shrugs it off as her music transitions into “See You Soon” by Chelsea Grin.
The lights blink off and on before they change to an angry red. Donzig walks through the entrance curtain, sporting his skull mask with the hood up. He pauses, glaring out across the crowd before he shakes his head before walking down the ramp slowly to meet Sinclair at the end, where they split and go around opposite sides of the ring. Donzig takes the apron on the right while Sinclair takes the left, and both enter the ring simultaneously. Donzig pauses mid-ring and removes the skull mask, then shakes his head at the fans with a scowl. Music fades out.
Tag-Team Ladder Match
Big Top Plate
The Awesome Bastards {Steve Awesome and Rat Bastard} vs Donzig-Gun {Donzig(c) and Sinclair}
Big Top Plate
The Awesome Bastards {Steve Awesome and Rat Bastard} vs Donzig-Gun {Donzig(c) and Sinclair}
Awesome Bastards are rushed by Donzig and Sinclair, as they both throw punches and kicks respectfully. Sinclair had Steve Awesome in the corner while Donzig has Rat Bastard backed up to the ropes. Rat gets a good elbow to the chin on Donzig and switches momentum, as Steve is on the receiving end of a martial arts lesson by Sinclair. A quick jab is caught and the arm twisted over as she judo flips Awesome to the canvas. Armbar applied with a vicious kick to the face! Sinclair begins wrenching the shoulder of the former X*Crown Champion and professed Face of the Franchise!
Fletcher: No mercy shown by the Baroness.
Block: A trait she has never understood. A weakness in any game, and one I concur with.
Donzig is taken over the top rope to the outside as Rat leaping clotheslines him and flips over in unison. Donzig rolls towards the Spanish announcer’s table as Rat gets up. A swift kick misses by Rat as Donzig rolls behind RB and nails a chop to the back of his knee!
Fletcher: Dirty Donzig strikes again!
Block: Anything goes in this ladder match.
Fletcher: Awesome has Sinclair in the corner now after getting out of that armbar.
Steve knees Sinclair twice before spinning her around and hitting a snap suplex into the turnbuckles! Rat is picked up and thrown into the steel steps shoulder first, sending the steps tumbling. Donzig sees his partner in a bad spot and grabs a chair ringside, tossing it in the ring and snags another chair before entering himself. The first swing strikes the back of Awesome and sends him to the ropes. The second chair swing is ducked! Donzig hits the ropes and the chair comes back to hit him in the face. Awesome smiles as he grabs the other chair and turns around to a throat jab by Sinclair! The chair drops to the canvas.
Fletcher: A rough shot to the throat.
Block: Donzig dazed and confused.
Awesome is kicked in the gut and placed in an abdominal stretch chokehold by Godfrey. The referee outside the ring is shoved aside as Rat Bastard slides in and big boots Godfrey from behind! Godfrey is sent rolling to the apron beside Donzig who is leaning on the ropes. Rat nods to Steve, and the two grab the chairs and swing from opposite sides as Donzig rushes them!
Block: Chair sandwich!
Fletcher: Awesome Bastards showing that teamwork that made them an End of Days Annihilator favorite.
Rat props the chair between the top and middle turnbuckle. Motioning to Steve it’s ready with a thumbs up. Steve brings Donzig to his feet, in a dazed state is the Scourge, and it shows as he is shot towards the chair contraption in the corner by Steve Awesome and is tripped by Rat Bastard as he gets closer. Smashing his right shoulder and head right through the metal seat piece of the chair. Donzig drops to his knees, his upper body slumped awkwardly between the frame of the chair. Rat slips out of the ring and lifts up the ring skirt, pulling out the first ladder of the night.
Fletcher: Awesome Bastards aren’t wasting time are they? Isolating Donzig and going for the ladder already.
Block: They came prepared with a battle strategy tonight. Donzig appears to be on another planet following that missile head dive he took into the chair.
Fletcher: I bet he wishes he had that mask on still. Might have softened the blow.
Chokehold applied by Sinclair on Awesome! She takes a step backwards and lays out on her chest as she shifts her chokehold into a reverse neckbreaker drop! Rat slides the ladder under the bottom rope and sees Sinclair coming full speed ahead! Godfrey dropkicks the ladder into the torso of Rat Bastard! The ladder hits the floor as Rat is sent backwards, his feet getting out from under him and hits his back to the barricade; left in a sitting position as a result.
Block: Momentum shifts back to Donzig-Gun courtesy of Sinclair’s series of attacks.
Fletcher: Donzig gets a life line here from his partner. Another couple moments and we may have had a new Plate owner.
Sinclair aids Donzig to his feet in the corner. SLAP! Heard in the peanut gallery section, Sinclair’s hand leaves a mark on Donzig’s face - but it does the trick in snapping him back to full consciousness. Shaking the cobwebs, the Scourge scowls at the tactic his partner used but sees her handy work on his opponents and half smirks with satisfaction. Motioning to get a ladder, Donzig stomps away at Steve Awesome as Godfrey rolls out of the ring.
Fletcher: Stomping the piss out of Awesome, ain’t he?
Block: Not uncommon for the Scourge.
Pulling Steve up by his movie star locks, Donzig looks him in the eyes. A rivalry born in Northern Pro Wrestling’s Maple leaf home. In a rivalry for the Northern Openweight Championship that both Awesome and Donzig would trade wins for. Donzig had not forgotten, that much was clear. Kicking Awesome in the stomach, Donzig snatches the head with his arm and drops the Face of the Franchise with his trademark stunner!
Block: EVENT HORIZON!
Fletcher: these fans have a different thought on that name.
FANS: DON-ZIG! STUN-NER! DON-ZIG! STUN-NER! DON-ZIG! STUN-NER!
Block: You can see where Donzig’s reserve kicks in and that second wind takes him to the void.
Fletcher: What the hell are you talking about? That man is mental, and that’s being polite.
Block: While my broadcast partner and I debate Donzig’s mental state, Sinclair has the ladder in place.
Fletcher: If she goes up for the Big Top Plate, would that make her the new champion?
Block: You know, I don’t think that was made clear. Huh, could you imagine Donzig’s reaction?
Godfrey begins to climb one side as Donzig turns around, cocking his head sideways as he looks at Sinclair dead on. Sinclair pauses, Donzig’s eyebrows arch and Sinclair points behind him - too late! Springing off the top rope comes Steve and he plants a forearm smash to the Scourge! Donzig is sent head first into the ladder and continues through, pushing it over before he falls to the canvas. Sinclair is sent flying over the top rope and through the Spanish announce table!
Fletcher: our poor broadcast partners Juan Mongolio and Omar Sanchez, both sitting in the crowd after that.
Block: I’m just glad they moved our table. Did lose the per diem for food though due to the hazard pay. Cheapskates.
Sinclair lays in the rubble of the table as Steve Awesome picks up the ladder and lines it up. Awesome begins to climb the ladder.
Block: Going for the REIGN Big Top Plate, Steve Awesome is looking to repeat history in his ascent to conquering Donzig once again!
Steve Awesome ascends the rungs of the ladder slowly. Donzig crawling towards the bottom rung of the side Steve climbed. The lights cut out in Hatley Castle. Fans go silent.
A flicker and the lights come back on to the surprise of everyone, it’s the Murder Lizard Jesse Jamester standing opposite of Steve Awesome at the top of the ladder!
Fletcher: This can’t be!
Block: But it is! That leash Donzig has on this man, mutant, monster, all of the above – it’s just come to REIGN!
A handful of the movie star’s hair is grabbed as JJ headbuttes Steve once and then takes two punches to the mask that he shrugs off. The fresh man had nearly fifty pounds on Awesome and a few inches as he smashes Steve’s face off the top of the ladder and hooks him in a suplex, lifting him up and dropping off the side of the ladder!
Block: JESTERPLEX TO AWESOME!
Donzig is seen grinning as his plan unfolds perfectly, and he ascends the ladder to retrieve the Big Top Plate!
Burt Tennor: Winners of the Tag Team match, and STILL BIG TOP PLATE OWNER – Donzig and Sinclair Godfrey!
Donzig holds the Big Top Plate up and takes in the jeers of the REIGN audience as he secures the win for Donzig-Gun. Climbing down the ladder, it’s Jamester who lifts Donzig’s hand in the air and points to him as the winner as Sinclair Godfrey is seen outside the ring climbing out of the rubble of the Spanish announce table.
Block: Tragedy here for the Awesome Bastards who it appears cannot catch a break with those who interfere once again.
Fletcher: It’s not like they don’t know Donzig. The man has never played it straight and tonight was just another example of him having plans to secure his victory.!
The REIGN faithful jeer loudly. The source of their rage – a kindly old man in the middle of the ring. End of Days has turned Zoran Sainovic from the XHF equivalent of Satan to a relative good guy – for everyone but REIGN that is. To the fans in attendance, he’s the reason they have been X’d out.
Zoran Sainovic: REIGN. I understand your animosity, I truly do. When I came after Steve Awesome at End of Days, promises were made. I flat out said zat it would be business as usual in ze XHF, because I’d defend ze X*Crown in REIGN more zan he ever did. I meant zat. I really did. Only before I could get released from ze emergency ward to let REIGN’s board of directors know zat I’d be happy to defend against Death Trap – ze Sons of Loki already beat me to zat prize. Likewise all ze great potential REIGN challengers from Donzig to Von Krauss were already tied up with other matches. I racked my brain trying to come up with one of your fine athletes zat might be available tonight, so I could show you ze respect I have for your great organization...
Is he starting to win the crowd over? Rancid tomato almost hits his feet. Nope. They’re still mad about losing the crown.
Zoran Sainovic: So I ask you... is Blaze Freya in ze back?
The Final Boss turns his attention to the castle’s pantry room, which he’s guessing is the backstage curtain. In the background, Javier walks down a flight of stairs followed closely by his client, El Combatiante. The crowd is far more favourable for this guest appearance. At least half of it. Monitoring the reactions, Zoran turns around just as the duo enter the ring.
Zoran Sainovic: Ah, my favourite SWAT signing and his cunning linguist manager. What a pleasure to come across ze two of you in zis ...quaint... country.
EC: No me engañas, diablo blanco.
(I am not fooled by you white devil.)
Zoran Sainovic: Ze sentiment is genuine. I am sorry for how zat relationship concluded. I was long gone by zat point. A banana peel gag? Pathetic. Give me a little more credit zan zat, EC. Zat is not how I would’ve written your time in ze company ending.
EC: Lo habrías escrito en Asesinato.
(You would’ve written it in Murder.)
Zoran Sainovic (wild eyed with a knowing smile): You’re not wrong.
Javier: Look Z, we’re not here to relive the past. We’re here for business.
Zoran Sainovic (eyes flashing with a fiendish glee): Now you’re speaking my language.
Javier: Yes. You saw what happened at the end of the Gun Show. I mean, you were there, right? Anyway, a war is coming and on behalf of myself, my client, and former President Kanyon we would like you on our side.
Zoran Sainovic (deadpan): I accept.
Javier: Now I know it is asking a lot since you just had a match with, wait, what?
Zoran Sainovic: I accept.
Javier: Just like that? I had a whole speech planned.
Zoran Sainovic: Another shot at Steve? Zat’s all I really need. Ze last conversation I had with Mongo, he said to me: “What the XHF needs is you and Steve to headline another dozen global events.” (the crowd pops) See, zey get it. (back) My only reservations? I’m a little worried zis little war is just going to end with all you bros blowing each other in a toxic display of co-dependant eternal friendship, while your poor armies actually kill zemselves to satiate your egos... (shrug) but what ze hell. You can’t change who you are. ...I just have one condition.
EC: Tenía miedo de esto.
(I was afraid of this.)
Javier: Just name it.
Zoran Sainovic: You must last five minutes in zee ring with me.
Javier: Done. He can do that with no problem.
Zoran Sainovic (chuckle): Oh no, not him. (turns a murderous gaze at Javier) You.
Javier: Uh, uh, uh.
EC: No necesitamos al diablo blanco. No tienes que hacer esto.
(We don’t need the white devil. You don’t have to do this.)
Javier: I’ll do it.
Zoran Sainovic (claps claws like a kid in a candy store - who is about to murder someone): Zat’s ze spirit.
Five-Minute Challenge
X*Crown Championship
Zoran Sainovic © vs. Javier
X*Crown Championship
Zoran Sainovic © vs. Javier
Zoran Sainovic: Now EC, my last few defences have had hysterical family members and false friends interfering and drawing DQs. I miss clean finishes. So do me a solid, keep zis one on one, and PROVE you can watch my back.
DING! DING! DING!
Javier tries to attack Sainovic from behind, only for his meagre offence to be completely ignored. A spinning backfist breaks the announcer’s nose. Blood starts shooting out like a water sprinkler – spraying nearby fans. While they are unhappy about the dry cleaning bills, the audience suddenly embrace Sainovic. He may have stolen their X*Crown, but they really don’t like Javier.
Javier (holding nose): Vhy ve?
Zoran Sainovic: You were at ze BBQ, and Steve’s celebration... you’re on ze list.
Before the manager can submit, Sainovic power slams him into the centre of the ring. Javier looks ready tap out, so Zoran jumps on his stomach as hard as he can. Javier spews out blood like he was the wall from Evil Dead 2. Interested in this blood canon, Zoran jumps even higher, stomping up and down on Javier like he was a trampoline.
Block: This isn't a match, this is just a mugging!
Fletcher: Shhh, don't let him hear you!
Unable to witness this brutality, El Combatiante starts to run-in, only for Javier to wave him off. What a brave man. Javier might be a lot of things, but he is all heart. In truth, Javier isn’t waving at all – he’d like to tap out, but the violent stomping is causing his arms to flail about like he’s waving. Frankly, the only thing that can be said for Javier is that he has a lot of guts – which are currently being spewed out at the delighted crowd. Zoran chants actually break out. Everyone should get his or her own Javier. Eventually the flailing stops, as Javier appears to be dead.
Zoran Sainovic: How long has it been?
Fletcher: The match started 30 seconds ago.
El Combatiante isn’t sure he’ll get those five minutes. Sighing, Zoran stops jumping, and leaves one boot on Javier’s collapsed chest.
One!
Two!
Three!
Burt Tennor: The winner of this match, and STILL XHF X*Crown champion, Zoran Sainovic!
The crowd cheer this epic defence. The Final Boss removes a silk handkerchief from his breast pocket, and wipes the gore from an unconscious Javier’s face.
Zoran Sainovic (to the knocked out manager): For your acceptance, a mercy zat ze rest of ze ...revellers... will not receive.
El Combatiante races into the ring to check on Javier’s pulse.
Zoran Sainovic: Couldn’t even give me a minute. Still, I’m in. But I when your civil war games have ended, and ze dust clears – REMEMBER – zis (pointing at Javier’s corpse) is what a REAL friend looks like.
It’s starting to dawn on El Combatiante that making a deal with the White Devil was a monumental mistake. Sainovic reaches down with his working arm, and lifts up the beaten manager. Cradling Javier with his good arm, Zoran Sainovic starts to carry the pulped manager out of the arena... kind of like that scene from The Bodyguard. A worried El Combatiante follows alongside. As the trio reach the castle gate, Steve Awesome comes out of the back-
Steve Awesome: Don't be a fool, El, this is taking it too far-
Seeing how upset Awesome is brings a faint smile to the XHF Devil's lips. While the audience is STOKED for another blood bath between the two, REIGN management apparently doesn't want the evening's tag match to be threatened by injury, as a dozen security guards separate Awesome from Team Kanyon.
EC: ...
Steve Awesome: Some things you can't undo!
EC: Yo no comencé esto.
(I didn't start this...)
Steve Awesome: But you're turning it up to 11! This is FUCKING insane.
Zoran Sainovic: It's already done.
With security holding a livid Awesome back, the trio pass through towards waiting medics. Only... before the curtain closes, The Final Boss stops.
Zoran Sainovic: ...Ze last time I defended my X*Crown here... against your better half, I seem to recall you didn't like ze idea of ze NCW championship being absorbed into ze crown. (fiendish grin) I wonder if Rat has ze same compunctions...
Steve Awesome looks like someone just walked over his grave. As security have an INCREASINGLY hard time holding the Face of the Franchise back, a pleased Zoran exits with his new best friends Javier and El Combatiante.
Fletcher: The bad blood in the XHF Network has been flowing into REIGN tonight!
Block: You can say that again!
Fletcher: No, once is sufficient. But what a night we're having!
Burt Tennor: The following contest is our main event of the evening and is scheduled for one fall for the XHF Global Tag Team Championships!
Fletcher: I am not usually one to be excited for any match Vin, but this one I am almost willing to make an exception for.
Block: That’s great! This match promises to be a technical clinic.
Burt Tennor: Entering first, representing SCCW, Weighing in at a combined 399 pounds. The team of “Bone Cold” Raiden Ishimori and “Chaos Tiger” Daigo Arakawa … THE SONS OF LOKI!
"God drive" by Pay money To my Pain loudly hits the speakers, the crowd already jeering at the noise as Raiden Ishimori and Daigo Arakawa make their way out onto the stage. A wicked grin graces the latter's lips while the former only stares out into the sea of people around them. With a shrug, Raiden begins to lead them down the ramp, Daigo occasionally jawing at people on the way down. Bone Cold takes to using the stairs to climb into the ring while Chaos Tiger simply rolls in under the bottom rope. Popping up to his feet, Daigo shakes his arm for a moment as he turns to Raiden, arm shooting up to be joined by the other's at the crook of the elbow. They exchange a mutual nod with one another before retreating to their respective corner.
Fletcher: Gotta love the vicious streak these two have had recently. Since removing their masks and returning to Las Vegas, the two have been on an amazing roll and I have to respect that.
Block: I miss the old Raiden and Kazuko. They used to be fun. Now they are violent and chaotic.
Fletcher: And successful.
Burt Tennor: AND THEIR OPPONENTS! Weighing in at a combined 460 pounds, they are the REIGNING … undisputed XHF Global Tag Team Champions! The team of Mistress Discipline and REIGN’s own “Main Attraction” Death Trap … TOP OF THE CLASS!
The lights dim down and the Tron shows "Top of the Class" in big gold letters with sparkles. It then cuts to images of Death Trap and Mistress Discipline winning the XHF Global Tag Team Championships from New Age Killers with DT pinning Jason Long and their hands being raised. "2285 Entr'acte" by Dream Theater plays over the speakers. Blue and Gold lights strobe the arena as the stage and ramp light up again and Death Trap and Mistress Discipline hit the stage. Mistress straightens her collar and her title belt around her waist and begins marching to the ring. She gets ten steps away and looks back to see DT still doing his signature pose at the top of the stage, hoodie open showing off his tag team title belt. She marches back and grabs his arm and forcibly pulls him down the ramp to the ring as DT high fives fans with his free hand. Mistress rolls into the ring and steps to the center while DT goes up the steps and looks out at the crowd as he steps through the ropes. He leaps to the closest corner and poses again as gold sparks shower from the ceiling.
Fletcher: Say what you will about DT being over the hill, he knows how to put on a show. How did we get clearance for pyrotechnics in a historic location like this castle house?
Block: Mongo must have fronted the directors some money for his global match presentation. These two are coming off a successful retention of their titles at End of Days against BANG! Hermanos!
Fletcher: And a panda. HOLY HELL!
Before DT can finish his grand gesture to the crowd he is annihilated from behind by a springboard enzuigiri to the back of the head sending him toppling over the turnbuckle where he slams his chest on the top of the post and then crashes hard on his back to the outside! Daigo Arakawa laughs as Mistress charges in but is intercepted by a superkick to the face by Raiden!
Block: WHAT UNDERHANDED TACTICS! They are assaulting the champs before the bell!
Fletcher: Can’t get DQ’d if the match hasn’t started!
DT lays on the ground holding the back of his head and small of his back as Raiden and Daigo corner the ref, Nicolas “Pepito” Perez, and get the bell rung!
Main Event Tag-Team Match

The Top of the Class {Death Trap and Mistress Discipline}(c) vs The Sons of Loki {Raiden Ishimori and Daigo Arakawa}
XHF Tag Team Championships
The Top of the Class {Death Trap and Mistress Discipline}(c) vs The Sons of Loki {Raiden Ishimori and Daigo Arakawa}
Immediately Arakawa charges in and blasts Discipline in the head with a basement dropkick. He immediately dives on top and rains punches down to the face before hauling the bookish wonder to her feet and sending her careening right into a flurry of kicks from Raiden. Pepito finally builds up the courage to step in and quietly ask Raiden to please step outside. Raiden only relents when Daigo grabs Mistress from behind and plants her with a swinging neckbreaker as he sees DT slowly rising on the outside. The Master of Puppets is barely up for a second before he is greeted by Bone Cold sliding out of the ring with a baseball slide kick to the back of the head sending the former X*Crown champ sprawling face first into the barricade.
Block: Well they are holding to their plan to assault Death Trap’s vulnerable head and isolate his partner.
Fletcher: You always exploit the weakness in your opponents. And DT is prone to shopping for food at Home Depot, and Mistress is more at home in black leather than the ring!
Block: … You KNOW that isn’t what mistress means …
Fletcher: Be a lot cooler if I didn’t …
DT crashes to the outside mat holding his neck in agony. Raiden just smirks and climbs back to the ring apron. In the ring, Daigo has Mistress Discipline in a knee bar. She inches her way to the rope and Perez calls for the break, which Arakawa milks to four before releasing and doing a handstand on the leg before crashing down with a knee drop onto the right shin. He rolls to his feet and stomps on the right shin before Mistress recoils and rolls to her empty corner looking for her partner. The former Junior Heavyweight champ darts in towards the corner but the former Wildfire champ rolls out of the way. Daigo runs up the turnbuckles and backflips off before catching Mistress with a standing senton to the back as she crawls away. The crowd boos vociferously as the Sons of Loki exhibit complete control off the back of their sneak attack.
Fletcher: And this is why you don’t showboat. Always be ready. Now they’re gonna lose and DT is gonna make us look bad. If I’m the Reign execs I’m firing his ass right away for this embarrassment.
Block: Oh come off it Chet, you know this is not over yet.
Mistress uses the ropes to pull to her feet, only to get a quick series of roundhouse kicks to the ribs by Arakawa. He laughs in her face and headbutts her hard. While this does damage the female fury, it also sends the Japanese chaotic reeling in pain. Turns out her head is harder than it looks. A quick moment to shake out the cobwebs and Chaos Tiger tries to pounce again by grabbing the shoulders of his prey and pulling her to the center of the ring and trying a heavy front kick to the solar plexus. Mistress however, catches the foot, glares in his face and absolutely unloads with a slap that echoes throughout the vast mansion. On the apron, Raiden winces in pain at his partner’s plight. Daigo drops to a knee holding the left side of his face which is already glowing red. A fire lights in his eyes as he uncoils back into her face spitting with rage only to receive another crushing slap to the face sending him sprawling to the mat.
Fletcher: Those slaps are destructive.
Block: I would not want to be Daigo right now. His jaw will be lucky to remain in one piece.
Discipline cracks her neck and grabs the smaller fighter from behind and lifts him in a deadlift before slamming him back to the mat chest first and locks in a single leg crab. Daigo bites his tongue in pain, but it’s short-lived as Raiden charges into the ring. Mistress releases the hold to catch the incoming kick. And … SLAP! Raiden is sent reeling as well. Mistress hooks him for a suplex but Daigo kicks the back of her right knee and she drops to one leg. As Pepito quietly tries to count to five for Raiden to leave, they grab Mistress for a double team. She unleashes a kick to the chest of both men sending them backwards then barrels over Raiden with a clothesline.
Fletcher: I think the Sons underestimated the power of the tag champs.
Block: Discipline has a considerable size advantage on Daigo, and is right there with Ishimori as well.
With the ref corralling Raiden, Arakawa manages to poke the former librarian in the eyes and hit a dragon screw to the right leg. Wasting no time, the double down champ springboards off the middle rope with a moonsault and pin.
ONE!
Kickout!
Mistress sits up and holds her eyes for a minute before rolling to her feet. A shotgun dropkick sends her into the corner of the Sons of Loki and a quick tag is made.
Block: Well here comes Bone Cold.
Fletcher: A 4-time challenger for the X*Crown, Raiden is one of the most revered strikers and technicians in the XHF.
Raiden leaps over the top rope as Daigo holds their isolated opponent in place for a devastating kick to the face. Raiden pulls her from the corner by her arm and clotheslines her down, maintaining a finger lock on her hand. He rolls her over and guides her to her feet before sending her slamming chest first into the turnbuckle. On the rebound he hits a German Suplex and bridges.
ONE!
TWO!
Kickout.
Ishimori soaks in the boos from the audience and just shrugs. He pulls the stunned Mistress to her feet. He hooks her in that inverted front facelock, looking to hit his snap reverse DDT. He gives a cutthroat taunt but Discipline manages to snag that arm and his head in a makeshift arm triangle before using her power to pull him down over her shoulder with a chest buster that looks like a stunner. Bone Cold grabs his sternum in pain and releases the grip, allowing the North Carolina native to scamper away and try to catch her breath. Ishimori tags in to his partner and Daigo leaps onto the top rope and flies halfway across the ring. Mistress turns right into a cross body but she rolls through after the impact and has the junior heavyweight in her arms where she plants him with a front slam to the mat.
Block: Discipline showing that Carolina toughness.
Fletcher: Turns out she isn’t quite the pushover suggested in the Sons of Loki’s promos. Who knew?
Block: Anyone who pays attention to the global shows, Chet.
Fletcher: So … Mongo and his family then?
Both fighters remain down from this exchange. Pepito hints he’d be kind of appreciative if they would stand up but no rush, he doesn’t want to inconvenience them. Discipline is the first to her feet, stumbling. She wipes her mouth and the sweat from her brow and stalks the rising Chaos Tiger. The leader of the Death Trap fan club greets him with a stiff kick to the ribs. He catches the second kick and smiles as he slaps her in the face. This doesn’t have the impact he’d like as MD torques him over with an inferno dragon screw before sinking in a DEEP anklelock with grapevine. In distinct Anthony Caffrey fashion she begins to wrench the leg of her foe with a fury not seen in a long time in the normally mild-mannered champion. You can hear her yelling about ripping his leg off, that this isn’t MCCW.
Block: Does she remember it’s SCCW now?
Fletcher: Frankly that’s the last thing on the mind of Arakawa, he’s about to need a good cybernetic leg (is Dylan around?). That Procedure is sunk in DEEP and his right ankle looks worse for wear.
Raiden manages to get his bearings in the corner and enters the ring, pushing Pepito out of the way as he stomps the angry librarian in the face a few times for good measure. He hauls her off his partner and hits the snap reverse DDT!
Fletcher: CHALK OUTLINE!
Block: And just like that the numbers game is too much for the valiant warrior woman.
Fletcher: At 6’ she could BE an Amazon.
The ref gets in Raiden’s face in the least intimidating and authoritative way possible and shoos him out of the ring. Daigo can’t take advantage as he pulls his right leg close to his body and holds it in pain. He takes a good ten seconds before crawling over to the lifeless opponent and hooking the leg.
ONE!
TWO!
Kickout!
Raiden stomps on the apron and holds his hand into the ring. Arakawa slowly crawls over towards his corner. Suddenly, as a chant rises in the crowd, Mistress kips up. She stumbles, holding her head. But she manages to grab the leg of Daigo and haul him away from the corner. Arakawa thinks quickly and tucks and rolls, sending her forward and catches her in a small package.
ONE!
Kickout!
Block: These three fighters are putting on a clinic here.
Fletcher: Tons of heart.
Raiden again reaches for the tag. Daigo however, senses blood. He climbs to his feet. A quick stomp to shake out the pain from his right ankle and he stands toe to toe with the rising Mistress. A kick to the ribs from Daigo. A knife edge chop from Mistress! WOO! Kick! Chop! WOO! Kick! Chop! WOO!
Block: Daigo, Mistress, Arakawa, Discipline!
Fletcher: Who is going to win the exchange?
Mistress attempts to clothesline the Japanese fighter, but he rolls under it and on her spin, he connects with a headscissors. As Mistress rolls to her feet, another headscissors sends her back to the mat. She slowly pushes back to her hands and knees only to get a penalty kick right to the gut sending her to the mat. Chaos Tiger runs off the ropes and comes back with a standing shooting star!
ONE!
TWO!
Kickout.
The Chaotic Son laughs as he stomps on the right leg again, trying to weaken her power base. He reaches down to pull her up but she rolls him into an inside cradle!
ONE!
Kickout!
Daigo rolls to his feet and absolutely blasts her with a sling blade as she rises. She stays on the mat as the chaotic one looks to his partner and nods. He backs into the corner, Raiden tags him on the back, Daigo leaps to the top rope. As Raiden looks to springboard into the ring he is stopped. Somebody has tangled both his legs in a bear hug. Raiden looks down and sees Death Trap back to consciousness and angry as a nest of hornets. Raiden kicks him away and turns back to Mistress but DT pulls his legs out and as he falls, catches him with the cutter on the floor!
Block: CUT THE STRINGS! DT just put Raiden down! And hard!
Fletcher: Fall from that height, face first?
Arakawa looks on in horror as DT rolls to his feet. Thinking quick, Daigo stands to leap at Mistress but DT slides into the ring, past Pepito and as Daigo flies, Carloni catches him on his shoulders and breaks out a very dusty old move … an F5!
Fletcher: ONE OF A KIND! ONE OF A KIND!
Block: DT showing that resilience as he comes in and immediately uses his power to change the shape of the game!
DT soaks in the cheers from the crowd and does his signature pose before checking on his partner. Perez now admonishes him about being illegal in the ring and shoos HIM back to the corner. Mistress slowly covers Daigo.
ONE!
TWO!
THR-Raiden dives in from outside and manages to break up the pin.
All three fighters in the ring are down as DT stands on the apron clapping his hands in the air to the crowd as a raucous MD chant starts up. He stomps his feet and really begins to psyche up the crowd. Mistress is slowly shaking off the exhaustion and trying to get to her feet. Ishimori has rolled out to the apron and is pulling himself to his feet. Daigo manages to push to his hands and knees and crawls to his corner. Mistress looks around for her own corner. And when she sees DT there, she nods. She inches his way, favoring that right leg. Daigo manages to tag in Raiden who charges in and grabs hold of the leg of Mistress and locks in an STF! Mistress howls in pain as she sees DT’s outstretched hand. Ishimori has the hold in tight and is really wrenching the crossface back. He looks into the eyes of DT with a smirk as he elicits groans of agony from the tag partner of his one-time MCCW foe.
Block: It might have been a case of too little too late here for Top of the Class.
Fletcher: Mistress has been alone all match and has taken a ton of punishment. Her endurance is not the level of DT’s or Raiden’s for that matter.
Summoning up all of her internal fortitude, the North Carolina native pushes up on her hands and begins slowly dragging Raiden towards the corner. Bone Cold just keeps wrenching harder. Just when it looks like the tag is imminent, Raiden breaks the hold and drags her back three feet and locks it in again. He laughs at DT. DT slams his hand on the top turnbuckle and calls to his partner. She again pushes up, with a scream of pain before each crawling motion, she slowly closes the gap. Just fingertips apart … when Daigo comes sprinting across the ring and hits a huge shotgun dropkick sending DT flying off the apron and crashing down the steel steps with a crash. The pair then pull MD to her feet and Raiden goes high, Daigo goes low … Total Elimination!
Block: Oh no! They call that The Reckoning and MD is down and out.
Raiden quickly tells Daigo to leave the ring. Daigo nods and Raiden pulls Mistress to the center of the ring and locks in a dragon sleeper! Raiden torques the neck and yells at her to just give up. But Mistress will not give in. She wriggles and tries to get free. As she slowly fades, DT leaps back onto the apron and stomps and claps. She seems to rouse from her malaise and fights more. Raiden looks to Daigo and nods. Daigo leaps to the top rope and springboards. But DT darts into the ring and intercepts him with the Cut the Strings right next to the submission! He turn turns to Raiden who scowls and keeps the hold locked in. You can hear him telling DT to “Get back to the corner Carloni!” Pepito gets in front of DT and tries to back him up. DT puts his hands up in acquiescence and steps back as Raiden shakes his head with a laugh. Then DT pushes the ref out of the way and hits a high right roundhouse to the face of Bone Cold breaking the hold. DT grabs Daigo and sends him over the top rope to the apron and then turns to Raiden.
Fletcher: I think Bone Cold’s nose is bleeding!
Block: These two are not friendly.
Fletcher: Ya think?
DT and Raiden begin to trade fists in the middle of the ring. Pepito chirps next to them about the legal man. Neither man listens. Finally, Nicolas gets all his courage together and steps between and shoves them apart. DT just smirks and shrugs, “Washed up right?” Raiden scowls but is stunned by a roll up from behind by MD!
ONE!
TWO!
KIckout!
Raiden grabs his hair in frustration and shock at this close call as DT laughs and gets to his corner. Raiden turns to Mistress and tries an enzuigiri, she ducks it and stumbles towards DT. Raiden recovers and Bone Cold sprints to the ropes and comes off looking to clean MD out of the ring but instead she reacts with the bicycle knee strike to the head!
Fletcher: OH! She rung his Final Bell!
MD falls to the mat holding her right leg. Raiden rolls around in agony as Pepito makes a ten count. DT reaches over again. He calls for the tag. At five both fighters stir. MD pulls up on the ropes, at seven Raiden is up. He sees MD reaching, grabs her leg! SLAP! MD spins and falls towards her corner making the tag. DT fires up and enters the match with a devastating series of martial arts kicks to the winded Ishimori. Daigo slowly comes into save his partner but gets a deep arm drag for his trouble. One more for Daigo sends him back to his own corner. Raiden hits an axehandle to the back of the neck of DT but DT spins and hits a kick to the ribs, two quick punches to the gut, a muay thai knee and finishes it with a question mark kick!
Block: Quick Kill Combo! Raiden is down.
DT pulls Bone Cold back into the middle of the ring and locks in a dragon sleeper with a knee to the spine!
Fletcher: The master of the dragon sleeper showing Raiden how it’s properly done!
Raiden howls in pain! He refuses to tap but continues to flail. DT implores him to give up! It’s not like he’s a washed up shame! Raiden grabs for DT’s eyes. Finally Bone Cold manages to push to his feet and backflip over Death Trap and hit the Main Attraction with sliced bread. The Harbinger of Pain falls to the mat holding his throat. Both men struggle to their feet. Raiden is the first to hit a strike with a backfist. DT follows with a chop of his own. They trade punches before DT ducks a high kick and hits a Black Mass kick of his own, sending Ishimori spinning to the mat.
Block: The Hard Sell! DT put down Raiden!
DT stumbles but catches his balance. He ties up the legs of the harbinger and then locks in a surfboard!
Fletcher: If I recall this is the move he got Yamaguchi-san to tap to to retain his MCCW title!
But DT doesn’t think it’s enough and pulls the head of Raiden back and sinks in the surfboard dragon sleeper! Raiden is in extreme pain and is calling out for anything to save him. He can’t reach the ropes or move DT with the surfboard locked in. After a long few seconds, it looks like Raiden is fading, when the Harbinger of Chaos stumbles into the ring and hits DT in the spine with a penalty kick. DT releases the sleeper portion and Raiden falls face first to the mat in the leg lock. But Daigo unloads with a series of kicks and DT has to untangle. As DT rolls back away, Daigo charges and gets into the wheelbarrow looking for the wheelbarrow facebuster but DT catches his head and locks in a wheelbarrow dragon sleeper!!!! The Master of the Dragon Sleeper is pulling out all the stops in this one! Daigo now howls in agony knowing tapping won’t save him as he isn’t the legal man. Trap is forced to break the hold when Raiden kicks him in the back of the leg causing him to lose his balance. Ishimori gets DT onto his shoulders and hits the overhead kick.
Fletcher: OOF! The Bone Cold Blade and DT is now in trouble.
Block:Raiden getting Daigo out of the ring and goes in for the cover, a Japanese leg roll!
ONE!
TWO!
Mistress breaks the pin!
Raiden rises to his feet and the two stare each other down. Mistress unloads with a slap to the face. Raiden just spits blood and fires a kick right back. SLAP! Kick! SLAP! Kick. Finally Bone Cold get the advantage with a knee to the gut and a DDT. Mistress rolls to the apron. Bone Cold roars to the crowd and turns around … right into a kick to the gut! DT hooks him for the Main Attraction Cradle DDT! But Ishimori wriggles free and blasts DT with a bicycle knee of his own. He laughs and hits another. DT tumbles into the Sons of Loki corner! Daigo is to his feet and tags in as they grab DT and set up. FALL OF ASGARD!
Block: FALL OF ASGARD! The cross body neckbreaker combo has the Master of Puppets to the mat!
Fletcher: Nobody is getting out of this without oxygen after this one.
Daigo stays on for the cover!
ONE!
TWO!
THREE-NO!
DT JUST manages to roll the shoulder. Another pin! Another near fall. Another pin with both legs hooked. Out at 2! Daigo slams his hands on the mat in a rage. He springs to his feet and begins to stomp the crap out of his fallen enemy. He roars to the crowd and pulls DT to his feet. He sets up for the tip the scales but DT manages to back body drop Daigo. He falls to his knees and breathes heavily. A sliding clothesline from Raiden puts him to the mat! Raiden spits on the mat and pulls DT up as Daigo is slow to his feet. But Bone Cold is immediately sorry as he is pulled down by a flatliner and locked into the koji clutch by MD!
Block: SHE SENT RAIDEN TO DETENTION!
Fletcher: Perez come on, get control of your match.
Raiden struggles and manages to break her hold of his head and this lets Pepito separate them … only for DT to kick Raiden with a question mark kick behind the back of the ref. MD is backed into her own corner as Daigo uses Raiden as a spiringboard! But DT catches the hurricanrana and launches him over his head! Arakawa just misses the ref as Mistress pushes him away, but he lands on the shoulders of Discipline! He tries for the hurricanrana but Mistress grabs the top rope and won’t go over. As Arakawa sits back up on her shoulders she steps forward from the corner. DT comes launching with a springboard catching the shining wizard on Daigo forcing him down into the expulsion from Mistress! The sitout powerbomb rattles the ring!
Block: PERMANENT RECORD! This one has to be over!
Mistress rolls out of the ring as DT pins. He counts with the crowd with his free hand. ONE! TWO! THREE!
DING DING DING!
Raiden looks on in shock as he was inches from breaking the hold but had his leg held by Discipline from outside the ring.
Burt Tennor: YOUR WINNERS … And … STILL! XHF Global Tag Team Champions … TOP OF THE CLASS!
Fletcher: Well I’m sufficiently impressed, Vince. This was actually worthy of the X-Men Mansion treatment.
Block: What a chaotic match, lots of submission and strikes. A real bang bang affair! But DT and MD’s teamwork proved too much for the Sons of Loki. A close, hard fought match to close out the show.
Fletcher: And with that we will see you all in December! Good night!
As the logo appears in the corner of the screen and 2285 Entr'acte by Dream Theater plays, DT and MD celebrate in the ring. The sons of Loki slink away... Donzig, Sinclair and the Oblivion Death Squad appear on the ramp to stare down and shout at DT. DT jaws back at them as we go off air.
