The scene opens up inside Wesley Crane’s stretch limo. He has a whiskey in hand and looks determined, yet annoyed at the same time.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “So let’s start this thing off. William Fowler. Let’s discuss a few things, shall we? Wesley Crane believes you should take that World Championship and hand it over to him. I’m sure you’re asking yourself, “why would I do such a thing?”... well it’s simple. You’re not worthy of being a World Champion… and I’m sure you’re now asking “why am I not worthy?”... and that’s simple as well… let’s start at the beginning, shall we?”
Wesley takes a sip from his drink.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Legacy #10. You’re supposed to be the face of the company, yet, you started the match with a cheap chair shot to my face. That’s not very “face-y” if you ask me. In fact, that’s down right cowardly… but if you noticed, like true warriors, Marty and I got right up and carried on like it didn’t bother us at all. Ain’t that some shit?”
Wesley takes another sip from his drink.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “A real “face of the company” wouldn’t act like a “heel” in the company… but maybe that’s part of the problem with William Fowler… maybe we’re seeing the real side of William. Maybe we’re finding out that not only are you a coward, you’re also a fake. You want the fans to believe you’re the face of the company but deep down you’re a no good, lousy scumbag like I’ve always thought. The fact is, William, you’re a weak champion and I’m going to expose you. Why do I say you’re weak? That’s simple as well. There are two reasons why, and they are damn good reasons. The first reason is did you see yourself in the tag team match at Legacy #10? While your tag team partner looked like Superman, you looked like a chump. You spent more time on your back than you did anything else. There was nothing strong about your performance and that’s what I’d expect from you. Like I stated last week, the bigger they are, the harder they fall… I don’t just mean that in size. I mean that in status as well. There’s supposed to be no bigger than the World Champion… you’re supposed to be the biggest thing in this company and yet you’re falling harder than anyone else has ever seen. The bigger they are, the harder they fall…”
Wesley looks out the window and takes in the snowy scenery.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “The other issue I have with you as a “champion” is that you’re a fucking ghost right up until the last second. Last week you made the comment that you were looking to take a break after your match with Donzig. You wanted some, as you put it, “down time”... I’m sorry William, but a true champion does not take “down time”... a true face of the company shows up and defends the championship without needing some “down time” after the fact. It’s pathetic. It’s disgraceful… but what are you going to do about it. The answer is, nothing. You’re going to stay hidden right up until the last minute, then you’ll come out with some jibber jabber where you’ll try to make yourself seem legitimate, but the fact is, I’ve already exposed you. Your cheap antics will not work for you. Your goal of doing little work for a big reward will not happen because the world knows how you truly are. The WUK wrestlers in the back know how you really are and don’t give me the bullshit about how The Bastards know how you really are because The Bastards are just as bad as you are. The only Bastard I have an ounce of respect for is Rob Riot and that’s because he brings it each and every time he’s in a match. He deserves that Commonwealth championship more than Eron Hunter did… but just because I have an ounce of respect for your fellow Bastard, does not mean I like him… and Frank Windsor, fuck that guy… but the worst of them all is you William.. And that’s because you’re supposed to be the face of the company. You’re supposed to be the WUK World Champion… but you sure as fuck don’t act like it… and that’s why I demand you hand over the World Championship to me. Do the right thing, William. Let this shit hole company finally have a champion that it can be proud of.”
Wesley takes another sip from his drink. It’s getting low. He’s going to need more.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “You’re making Wesley Crane look bad by being this lazy. When I am champion, I’ll be in all the main events, not third from last like this past week. I’ll be doing all the TV interviews. The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon has already contacted Henderson to ask me to be on the show in anticipation of me winning the championship at New Years Brawl. The wrestling fans would know they had a real World Champion. William “Wallflower” Fowler will just fade into the background. I guess it’s easy to sneak up on people when you’re so unremarkable that you blend in everywhere. Wesley Crane does not blend in anywhere. Wesley Crane stands out because Wesley Crane is that fucking good.”
Wesley finishes off his drink.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “William, I’ll be looking forward to a reply from you. If you have any respect for yourself, you’ll speak up and do it sooner than later. If not, I guess you’ll be showing your true self to the wrestling fans all over the world once again. I’ll be seeing you real soon, William.”
With that said, the scene fades.
