PRESENTS
TAP OUT WRESTLING 11: MERRIC VS SAWYER
Date: Sunday, 26th February 2023
Venue: Lansky Ballroom The Sands Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada
Capacity: 1000
MAIN EVENT
Aiden Merric (#7) vs Sam Sawyer (#6)
Two names yet to appear in a show title get their chance at the first anniversary show of Tap Out Wrestling.
Aiden came into the company with a reputation for being a hard-hitting and brutal opponent. Whilst he's not going to be compared to Lou Thesz anytime soon he showed just how dangerous his Lariat can be when he put a full stop on a strike-thirsty match with Tommy Strychnine. Can he make this chance in the Sun count and put himself amongst the many suitors for the Tap Out Openweight title?
Sawyer has become somewhat of a surprise package in Tap Out. With their age belying the depth of in-ring skill they possess, they've been able to make a strong impression not just on the Lansky Ballroom faithful but also the Tap Out Management team. With Close Collins not booked this month, they have a free run at cracking the top five of the rankings and, like her opponent, being able to make a strong case for a shot at the winner at XHF Supremacy.

CO-MAIN EVENT
Random McConalogue (#10) vs Spike Kane (#12)
These two crossed paths at Tap Out Ten where Random and Jason Long were victorious over Kane and Capone. Without a partner to be by their side, will the result remain the same?
Random's unique offense of catch-as-catch-can has proven to throw off her opponent's and allow her to make up whatever size difference exists with brutal holds that can come out of nowhere. In her debut, Kingsley Solomon found out just how deadly her Inward Rolling Cutter can be and that it packs the punch needed to take down a larger opponent. We can imagine Random licking her lips when she looks at the long and storied career of Spike Kane and working out how many possibilities there are for her to break him down.
Spike's record betrays what we've seem in Tap Out since his debut. Last time out he was perhaps a hundredth of a second off preventing the winning pin and his debut was a Match of the Night banger against Aiden Merric. He knows that results are needed if he continues to show the form that carried him to the X*Crown and countless other titles in his career. As much as his opponent may see the match as a chance to exploit his injuries, he'll look at his moveset and know that he possesses multiple ways to put McConalogue down for her first loss in Tap Out.

Wildcat Capone (#9) vs Tommy Strychnine (#8)
Two of our Tap Out originals meet again with both wanting to get their 2023 back on track.
Capone's raw ability is beyond question but his inexperience has proven to be his downfall on more than one occasion. Whilst his last match out was a loss, the experience he would have picked up from teaming with Spike Kane will be invaluable. Additionally, his foray into GUNS FC means his striking game will continue to improve.
On the other side of the ring is Tommy Strychnine whose form is erratic as it must be frustrating for the Rocker. Unlucky to come out on the losing side against Merric, he'll be keen to remedy his form with a match where he would be considered the favorite through experience alone. If he can connect with the Springboard V-Trigger then it could all be over for his opponent, he just has to be wary of overconfidence stopping him from getting the win.

Nathan Hartley (#-) vs Zoi Rousakis (#-) vs Sticky the Clown (#-) vs Jackalope (#4)
Our first anniversary kicks off with the first-ever Fatal Fourway in Tap Out history. With three debutants and the hometown favorite, Jackalope, it's sure to live up to Tap Out's tradition of blazing opening matches to put the rest of the card on notice.
"Big" Nate is a former Olympian and at 265lbs and just shy of six feet in height, it's safe to say that he's one of the more powerful wrestlers on our roster. Disgraced in the amateur world for steroid use, his acquisition is a curious one for Tap Out. You'd hope that his days of juicing are behind him but can he live up to the potential that took him to the Olympics?
Zoi comes into Tap Out without a lot known about her beyond being a Social Media Influencer outside of the ring. Is this a stunt or is she serious about entering the ring? At just 18, she might find this match a baptism of fire but if we stick to the cliches - Influencers are all about making the best out of a situation they shouldn't be in.
Sticky the Clown is nigh-on eight feet, let that sink in for a minute. He stalked Armand von Krauss, also let that sink in. At his size and weight (fifty pounds short of half a ton) his gameplan is obvious - club and slam his way to victory and as obvious as that sounds, how do you stop someone that size?
Jackalope's career enters its sophomoric year after a debut year that saw some wicked highs and also some lows. What he has managed to do is keep himself high in the rankings. He may look at the main-event and wonder why it wasn't him but the bookies see him as the slight favorite for the match. What that doesn't take into account is the chaos that fourway dances tend to become. If it does degenerate like that, the man called the Chaos Bunny may well prosper and with the backing of the Lansky Ballroom, he'll fancy his chances!
