The scene opens up inside the luxurious suite of “The High Roller” Wesley Crane. The door opens and he walks in with Henderson close behind, carrying Wesley’s bags.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “You know where those go.”
Henderson: “Yes, sir.”
Suddenly, Wesley’s phone rings. He looks at his phone and gets a smile on his face. The caller ID says “Katie Moss.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Hello?”
Katie Moss: “Hello, Wesley, you called?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Hi, Katie. I did.”
Katie Moss: “What can I do for you?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Are you in Los Angeles yet?”
Katie Moss: “No, I’m still in the UK. My flight leaves tonight though.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “I have an idea.”
Katie Moss: “What’s that?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “I’m making a trip to the Adirondack Mountains here in Upstate New York. I was wondering if you’d like to join me?”
There is silence on the other end of the phone.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Hello?”
Katie Moss: “I really shouldn’t.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Why not?”
Katie Moss: “I have a lot of work to take care of before this show. It’s Wrestle:UK vs. Hardkore World. This is a massive show and I’ve got a lot of interviews to conduct. I have press conferences to take care of as well. I barely have any time to sleep, let alone take a day to travel to the Adirondack Mountains. It sounds great, but it’s not something I can do right now. Why are you going anyways? What’s in the Adirondack Mountains?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “I need to go back to my roots. I have someone special I need to go visit.”
Katie Moss: “Who are you going to visit?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Remember meeting Kaylee Draven at the restaurant?”
There is silence again. Katie doesn’t really want to remember the date from hell… but she is curious where Wesley is going with this conversation so she plays along.
Katie Moss: “Yes, I remember.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Do you remember me telling you how her father, the Professional Wrestling Hall of Famer, Timmy Draven was the one who trained me?”
Katie Moss: “I do.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Well, I need to go visit him.”
Katie Moss: “Why? You have the biggest match of your career coming up against Billy Fowler. Why are you going to see him now?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “It’s personal. If you want to know why I’m going, join me.”
Katie Moss: “Wesley, I really can’t.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Okay.”
It’s obvious that he’s feeling let down that she’s not joining him. There is silence on the phone. Suddenly, Katie speaks up.
Katie Moss: “Wesley, can I ask you a question?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Sure.”
Katie Moss: “Explain The High Rollers Club to me. Please?”
There is silence on the phone once again. Wesley sighs.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “What do you want to know?”
Katie Moss: “Why did you pick the people you picked?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “There’s power in numbers. I was tired of getting screwed over by The Bastards. So I did something about it.”
Katie Moss: “How did you select the people for The High Rollers Club?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Well, it was simple. The Glucks are one of the most dominant tag teams in Wrestle:UK. They are a powerful duo. Who would want to fight someone like them? With me, they have purpose, unlike the career they had with Ronnie Long. With me, they have a chance of becoming the greatest tag team in the world, not just one of the greatest.”
Katie Moss: “And what about the new team of Rage and Cage?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “They’re the future of this company. They’re young, hungry, and driven. They know what they want, and that’s to be the absolute best in the industry. They have that chance with Wesley Crane.”
Katie Moss: “Does Nicholas really believe he’s Nicholas Cage?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “He really IS Nicholas Cage. I’m not sure why people get confused. Have you seen him act? He’s phenomenal.”
Katie Moss: “Okay, we can get into all that at a later date. What about Preston Reese? Can you tell me more about him? All we know is that he’s the son of the legendary “Superstar” Sheldon Reese.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “It’s simple, we trained together in the Draven Barn years ago. We were little pups back then. Timmy Draven took us in and helped us perfect our craft. Preston and I have been closer than brothers since then. If I needed help in Wrestle:UK to take out a threat like The Bastards, I knew who I was calling. I was calling someone who would have my back no matter what. He’ll stand side by side with me. He’ll fight with me. He’ll bleed with me. He’ll do whatever it takes to make sure I’m the best version of myself. If you have a friend like Preston, you’re pretty lucky.”
Katie Moss: “Rumor has it that he’s an arrogant prick. Is that true?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “I don’t think so. I guess you’ll need to be the judge of that when you interview him.”
Katie Moss: “Okay. Well, I’m sorry I couldn’t join you on your trip, but I hope you find what you’re looking for in the Adirondack Mountains.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Thank you.”
Katie Moss: “If I don’t talk to you before the show, I’ll see you there. Good luck, Wesley. Stay safe.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Thank you, you too.”
With that said, Wesley hangs up the phone. He looks at Henderson.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Call one of my ladies and get them here…”
Henderson: “Anyone in particular?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Doesn’t matter to me. They’re all used for the same purpose.”
Henderson: “Yes, sir.”
Henderson grabs his cell phone and makes a call as the scene fades out.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “You know where those go.”
Henderson: “Yes, sir.”
