Suddenly the screen explodes to life. Eddie is sitting at the head of the Club table. As per usual he is wearing a red hoodie under his cult.
"With the recent attacks from Hardkore World. Many on the WUK roster have banded together to fight the invading force. Well off than the Bastards that is."
"I had made the decision not to side with WUK in the ten-man tag match. You have to remember that isn't how I roll!"
"No, I do things my way, and only do them when I want. I decided that I was going to be part of this show. I was going to do so for my reasons."
"After weeks of deep thoughts on this very subject. I had finally come up with a plan. In Aberdeen, I decided the time was right to make my next move."
"I challenged Hunter to this match."
"Hunter was only odd with a few people on both rosters. Out of that few, he was the only one that I knew that hadn't picked a side."
"Not because he is part of the Hardkore World roster. How would that benefit me?"
"No, the reason I challenged him is so simple. He has been on a roll in WUK, he is a former Commonwealth champion. Hold the longest single title reign in the company's history. He has the most title defenses under his belt. Currently, he is in line for a World Championship match. The same as Crane is or was, however, it works these days."
"I have never faced Hunter in any match. If I beat him, it would benefit my position on the WUK roster."
Eddie sits in his chair and removes his hood. A wave of confidence seems to flow from him.
"As good as I am! As successful as I have been! There are only a few that have managed to outshine me! Eron Hunter is one such wrestler."
"The guy has chalked out a hell of a career.
Despite his size, his ability between the ropes has catapulted him into iconic status."
"Do I stand in awe of the guy's success? Damn, right I am."
"Do I feel the pressure of facing such a wrestler? Who honestly wouldn't?"
"Will I let this pressure grind me down? No, it's not the first time that I have faced a better wrestler, and then beat them."
"No championships on the line. No accomplishments are to be earned. This match is just to see who the better wrestler is on the given night."
"The guy has cut out a hell of a run in Northern Pro Wrestling, he has done the same here in Wrestle UK. What some people didn't release Was that at the same time as being here in WUK, he has also been doing the same in Hardkore World."
"He may have recently dropped the WUK Commonwealth Championship. However, he is still covered in gold, the HKW West Coast Championship, and the XHF Junior Heavyweight Championship."
A smile crept across his face.
"In Los Angeles, this won't be HKW vs WUK. Oh no, it will be simply Havok vs Hunter. One-on-one. Just to see who the better wrestler is."
"It won't be a case of Face versus Heel. That's just dramatic crap the management likes to throw on the promotional advertising."
"If people want to stick labels on things. To try and make things more simple. We'll If that makes them feel better."
"So people want to label me as the Heel, the Bad Guy… then so be it. I never was one for buying into the whole labeling of people. I am a man carving out a career in my chosen profession. I really could give a shit about any of these others."
"I will be in San Francisco for the next HKW show. will be eagerly watching Hunter's match against Kilroy Evans. Not a case of trying to get into his head. It wouldn't pay off if I didn't watch his matches."
"All that is left to say. I will see you in Los Angeles, ready for battle."
"Right now for that other bit of business. It has not been sitting well with me."
"Wes, sooner or later we will have that rematch, until then think yourself lucky that. What I had in mind would have made that little beatdown from Billy look like a dance in the park."
"That's right, I mentioned it. The outcome of my match in Aberdeen."
"Bravo, Billy Boy. Look how far you have come! Wasn't that long ago you were defending that World stra0 for the first time? Happy-go-lucky. Being a nice guy."
"Wow, I'm surprised you can recognize yourself in the mirror these days. Well, you can thank me anytime. If it wasn't for me dragging this killer instinct out to the surface. You wouldn't be the champion right now."
"I wish I could say you learned a few things from our matches. However, it looks like you only learned one thing. Shame, it would seem that you are a slow learner compared to Riot & Windsor. After what happened in Aberdeen. It would seem that you have mastered the act of a surprise attack."
"I get that you and Wes are having some drama as of late. The only mistake that I can see that you made was not finishing the job. I'm still walking and breathing."
"It's just a matter of time before we meet again. The only part we can't be sure about, will you still be the World champion by then. I don't forget and sure as hell don't forgive."
Suddenly Eddie rises from his chair. Pulls his hoodie back off his head and then exits the room.
