The scene opens with an aerial view of a community/compound. There is a little log cabin with some smoke coming out of the chimney. Off to the side is an enclosed pig pen with a few pigs running around. Next to the pig pen is a goat pen with quite a few goats grazing. In the field there are a bunch of cattle roaming and grazing as well. As the view comes down to normal level we see Professional Wrestling Hall of Famer, Timmy Draven in front of his cabin, chopping wood. For those of you who haven’t paid attention, Timmy Draven used to run the AWA/BWA/CWA(not the CWA you’re all used to) and had some of the greatest wrestlers in the world there. Guys like “The Role Model” Anthony Jordan. The “Superstar” Sheldon Reese. Justin Voss, and a younger Donzig.
After retiring from professional wrestling for health reasons, Timmy Draven sold all of his businesses to his son, Nicholas, and bought thousands of acres of land in the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York. No, not the city. The Adirondack Mountains are way up north. Five hours away from New York City. Here, he has a community of like minded individuals who live at Draven Acres. They all have their own cabins on the property and help with daily life. Together they live in harmony. Some would call it a commune. Others would call it a cult. If you ask Timmy and the others who live there, they do not believe it’s a cult.
The door to Timmy’s cabin opens and out steps his wife, Desiree. She walks out with a coffee cup in hand. She walks up to her husband and hands it to him.
Desiree Draven: “Here, take a break.”
Timmy Draven: “Thanks, babe.”
Desiree Draven: “Shouldn’t he be here soon?”
Timmy Draven: “I’m expecting him here anytime.”
When Timmy retired from professional wrestling and the AWA closed, he turned it into a training center for people with dreams of becoming a professional wrestler. That’s where “The High Roller” Wesley Crane got his start in the business. After training at the training center for a while, Timmy saw something special in Wesley and moved him to Draven Acres where he could train him inside the Draven Barn, an old barn that was turned into a private training ground. Inside the barn was a wrestling ring and some old traditional workout equipment. Definitely an old school vibe… just the way Timmy Draven liked it.
As Timmy stands there with his coffee in hand, there is the sound of a car coming from down the dirt road driveway. Off in the distance we see a Hummer limo coming closer.
Timmy Draven: “Here he is, arriving in style.”
Desiree Draven: “Did you expect anything else?”
Timmy Draven: “No, not really. He is “The High Roller” afterall.”
The limo pulls up and the back door opens. Out steps “The High Roller” Wesley Crane, dressed to impress like always. $10,000 plum colored Armani suit, but he doesn’t have the jacket on today, just his black buttoned down shirt with the sleeves rolled up a quarter of the way of his arms and the top couple of buttons unbuttoned to show off his chiseled chest. Wesley walks right up to Desiree and gives her a hug and kiss on the cheek. Then he turns and looks at his mentor, Timmy, and gives him a huge hug.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Hello, old friend.”
Timmy Draven: “Who are you calling old?”
All three of them give off a little laugh.
Timmy Draven: “Are you doing good?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “You mean, “doing well?” right?”
Timmy Draven: “No, Wesley, I mean, are you doing good?”
Wesley realizes what Timmy is saying. The truth is, Wesley doesn’t “do good” very often. Wesley ignores the question.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Did you ask him to come?”
Timmy Draven: “He’s inside my cabin… but Wesley, I should warn you… he’s weak.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “What do you mean, weak?”
Timmy Draven: “The cancer has spread. He may not have much time left.”
Wesley looks sad by hearing this news. The fact is, he’s excited to be at Draven Acres, but also a little saddened by what he needs to do while he’s there.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Can I go see him?”
Timmy Draven: “Of course. He’s in the sun room in a hospital bed.”
Wesley takes a deep breath. You can tell this is something personal to him. We are seeing a completely different side of Wesley at this moment. He walks up the steps of the cabin and enters the screened in porch. He enters the cabin and walks through to the sunroom. There, in the bed is an elderly man, who must be in his 80’s. He turns his head and see’s Wesley walking toward him. He gets a smile on his face. Wesley looks a little choked up seeing the frail, elderly man.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Obediah. It’s so good seeing you.”
Obediah: “Good day, Wesley. It’s been so long since I’ve seen you. Come closer my boy.”
Wesley does as he’s asked and steps closer to Obediah. He pulls up a chair and sits next to Obediah’s bed. Obediah reaches his hand out and grabs Wesley’s.
Obediah: “What brings you here?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “I need to ask you for your prayers. Obediah, I’m about to get into something messy. I’m about to hurt someone pretty bad… and I feel I need your blessings to carry on with this mission.”
Obediah takes a deep breath.
Obediah: “My boy, I’m not a practicing preacher any longer. Even if I was, you’re a grown man now. You have to make decisions based on what you feel is best for your own personal life.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “I’ve been placed in a horrific match that Timmy made up many years ago. A match that hasn’t happened in more years than most can remember. It’s a match that many have heard of but never experienced. I’m going to be locked inside a Terror Dome with Billy Fowler. Weapons hanging all over the dome. There will be lots of bloodshed… and the thing is this, I’m ready for it. I’m not worried about the match itself… but Obediah, I’m going to take years off of a man’s career. Years off of his life. Anyone who knows me knows I never mind getting into an extreme hardcore match. I just won a Helloween Hardkore Cup Match a couple of months ago. I bled more in that match than I have ever bled before. I had flesh ripped from my skin, and I survived. I defeated all the other wrestlers and became the number one contender for the Hardkore World World Championship.”
Obediah: “I know you’ve been doing well for yourself… Timmy keeps me up to date on how you’re doing inside that ring.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Then you know I’ve been screwed over by The Bastards. Billy Fowler used a pair of brass knuckles to defeat me. He took the easy way out to beat me the first time, but I refuse to let that happen again. Fowler is stepping into my match and in the match he has no chance of walking away as the champion.”
Obediah: “You sound like you’ve got everything planned out. I’m not sure how I can help you.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “I need your blessing. I need to know that it’s going to be okay for me to bring down such wrath against him.”
Obediah: “The profession you’re in requires you to get physical. It isn’t a profession for the weak. So if you’re looking for my blessing, for what it’s worth, you have it.”
Wesley squeezes Obediah’s hand.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Thank you, old friend. I don’t know what I would have done all those years ago without you being here to help mentor me. It may not seem like it, but I carry those life lessons with me. I appreciate you, Obediah.”
Obediah: “Thank you. I’m proud of you my boy. Now go win your match. Go win the Wrestle:UK World Championship. I have faith in you. I’m proud of you.”
Obediah takes a slow deep breath in. It’s obvious that he’s worn out. Wesley gets a concerned look on his face.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “I’m going to let you rest. I’ll see you soon.”
Wesley stands up and leans over the weak, old man and gives him a gentle hug. He then turns and walks out of the cabin. Timmy is back to chopping wood. Desiree is sitting on an Adirondack chair, drinking the rest of Timmy’s coffee. When Timmy hears the porch door close, he stops chopping wood and looks toward Wesley.
Timmy Draven: “You okay?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Yeah, I’m good. It’s just hard to see him in such rough shape.”
Timmy Draven: “I know, it’s been hard on us all.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “I know. I hate that my stay needs to be so short, but I have to get to my jet. I’ve got a TerrorDome match to prepare for.”
Timmy Draven: “I can’t believe I agreed to letting this match happen. It’s not for the faint at heart.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “I know. I’ve watched footage of matches in the past. I know what’s about to happen… but Fowler has no idea. I have the advantage… and the fact that The Bastards can’t get involved is even better.”
Timmy Draven: “And The High Rollers Club can’t get involved either.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Good. I don’t want them to. When I win, I want it to be because I deserved to win, not because of some cheap underlining way like Fowler did. I am the real champion of WUK and inside that TerrorDome I will prove just how true that statement is.”
With that said, Wesley gives Desiree another hug before he leaves. As he’s about to leave, he gives Timmy one last hug.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Any last words of advice for your boy?”
Timmy Draven: “Yeah, don’t lose yourself in the match. It’s really easy to go to a dark place inside that dome. You’ve got no place to go. If you get down in the match, you could panic because there is no place to go to take a breather. It’s fight or flight. When you can’t choose flight as an option, you can go into a disturbingly dark place. It took me a long time to snap out of that place after one of my TerrorDome matches. I don’t want to see the same for you, but be prepared, there’s a good chance it’s going to happen.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “I’m ready for it… thank you for everything, Timmy. Desiree, you too.”
Timmy Draven: “Anything for you. You’re part of my family. We are always here for you, you know that.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “I’ve got a jet to catch. I’ll be in touch.”
Timmy Draven: “Good luck.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Thank you.”
With that said, Wesley gets inside the limo. It slowly pulls away. Timmy places his arm around his wife.
Timmy Draven: “I worry about our boy. I know he says he’s ready, but no one can ever be truly ready for the TerrorDome.”
Inside the limo, Wesley pulls out his phone.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Ugh, still no cell service here. Driver, I need you to hurry. I need to get to my jet A-SAP.”
Driver: “Yes, sir.”
Wesley reaches over and pours himself a glass of whiskey. He takes a big sip from his drink and then takes a deep breath.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Alright, Wesley, snap into it. You did what you said you needed to do. It’s all over and done with. It’s time to refocus on what’s important.”
Suddenly, Wesley’s phone beeps. He looks down at it. He has service once again. He scrolls through his phone and taps the screen once he gets to Henderson’s name.
Henderson: “Yes, sir?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Is everyone there?”
Henderson: “Yes sir. Do you need me to relay a message to them?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “No, just make sure they’re ready and boarded on the jet. When I get there I want to leave immediately.”
Henderson: “Okay… but sir, I should warn you… Billy Fowler has put out a statement.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Okay, what did he say?”
Henderson: “Honestly, you should wait until you get here.”
Wesley takes a deep breath and then takes another big sip from his drink.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Okay, I’ll take your word for it. I’ll be there in 30 minutes. See you soon.”
Wesley finishes the whiskey and places the cup down. He leans his head back and closes his eyes.
30 Minutes Later…
The limo pulls up to the jet. The driver gets out and opens the back door. Wesley steps out and looks around at the scenery. Henderson comes walking right out and up to Wesley.
Henderson: “Sir, shall we get on your private jet?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Sure. I want to see this footage of Fowler.”
Henderson: “As soon as we get situated on the jet, I’ll show you.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Alright, let’s go.”
Wesley leads the way and gets on the jet. Once inside, he sees The Glucks, Wesley Rage and Nicholas Honest Cage and Preston Andre Reese. They are all sitting in seats. Wesley stands at the front of the jet and addresses his stablemates.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “It’s good to see you all. I hope you’re ready for one hell of a show. We made a huge impact at Legacy. Now it’s time to take it to the next level. This show’s going to be epic. It’s our time to shine… and shine we will do.”
Wesley takes a seat at his table. Henderson takes a seat across from him.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Alright, let me see it.”
Henderson: “Alright… but I should warn you, it’s pretty fiery.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Good. Let his temper get the best of him. It’ll be easier for him to make a mistake. Now here, let me see this footage.”
Henderson opens his iPad and taps the screen a couple of times. He places it in front of Wesley. Wesley watches the video and pauses it part way through.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “He can call it a cage all he wants, the fact is, it’s called a Terror Dome for a reason and I’m going to prove to him why it’s got the name it does.”
Wesley starts the video again. He watches more of the video and then pauses it again.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “This mother fucker wants to say he’s trying to bring prestige to the WUK World Championship? He couldn’t beat me without cheating. Yeah, prestige my ass.”
Wesley goes back to watching the video. Suddenly he stops the video and takes a deep breath.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Does he even listen to himself? He says he’s had to bet on himself in order to be the best. Bet on himself? Really? This comes from a guy who can’t get a job done cleanly. He cheated to beat me in our one on one match. He cheated with the help of the Bastards in our tag team match. The fact is, William Fowler can’t beat Wesley Crane in a one on one match without interference or without cheating. Why do you think I wanted to be locked inside a Terror Dome with him so badly? I don’t want any outside interference. He likes to use brass knuckles to beat me… inside the Terror Dome will be all sorts of weapons. He can use them if he wants. I can use them if I want. Man, fuck this guy.”
Wesley watches once again and then stops the video.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “If I do the unthinkable, huh? He’d better be ready because the “unthinkable” is going to happen. At the PPV, I do exactly what I’ve been saying since day one… I’m going to prove that I’m better than Billy Fowler once and for all. I’m going to expose him as the cheap imitation champion that he is. At the PPV, I knock him out with the most devastating finishing move in the world, the In The Face and then the entire world will stop and listen to the words, “AND NEW WORLD CHAMPION” The High Roller Wesley Crane.”
Wesley takes the iPad and gives it back to Henderson. He looks at The High Rollers Club.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Boys, it’s time for war.”
Scene ends.
