Running the gauntlet

(Team Fairtex is enjoying some time off from training for the tag team gauntlet match. They are lounging around at poolside at their home in their native Bangkok, Thailand soaking in the sun and enjoying their drinks.)

Tong Fairtex:  "So The Bastards did what they do best and get themselves disqualified or whatever they do best to remain tag team champions.  Yet they made sure everyone gets to shoot at them with their bows and arrows."

Phantam Fairtex:  "Not only Wrestle:  UK but the whole XHF Network and what a lineup it is.  Teams from all over from the SCCW and JROK to who knows where outside of this network."

Tong Fairtex:  "Yes Bastards you really got yourselves into a mess this time not that you always find a way out of it."

Phantam Fairtex:  "We all know about The Bastards doing this and winning that but since there are a whole bunch of teams entered.  We'll take this opportunity to analyze briefly and within the politically correct limits set down in our contract with Mr. Blood."

Tong Fairtex:  "Yeah after a certain debacle when the last tag team tournament occurred.  Now speaking of politically correct and we don't mean Rally 'Tiger' Jackson's ranting and raving like a looney tune."

Phantam Fairtex:  "Yeah now we have his love children Rage and Cage.  Oh why did these two over rated morons come here and not compete in some other area not XHF affiliated."

Tong Fairtex:  "Like in some midget league where they would probably be giants.  Still it's probably going to be our job to deal with these idiots or probably anyone else unfortunate enough to avoid laughing at these two insignificant goofballs."

Phantam Fairtex:  "They only have significance because Wesley Crane keeps these idiots on his payroll."

(They sigh and shake their heads before taking another sip of their drinks.)

Tong Fairtex:  "Now there is that other team and we shall call them 'Team Anonymous' whom we shall not mention their names."

Phantam Fairtex:  "The Bl......"

(Tong holds a warning hand out and Phantam stops talking.)

Tong Fairtex:  "Remember that clause in our contract."

(Phantam rolls his eyes and shakes his head.)

Tong Fairtex:  "Now where were we.  There's Jakie Wentzel and Adrienne Blaque whom are members of Donzig-gun and are quite formidable and potentially dangerous.  Still danger is our middle name and we never backed down from any opponents.  Jakie represents the brutality and brute strength while Adrienne represents the speed and finesse and we represent the experience and wrestling skills."

Phantam Fairtex:  "Not to mention the tradition of this sport."

Tong Fairtex:  "Now there are these Twins......"

Phantam Fairtex:  "Oh we are going to be....."

Tong Fairtex:  "Not us a team called 'The Twins.'"

Phantam Fairtex:  "Losers."

Tong Fairtex:  "Then there's this backwater team called 'The Glucks' who picked the wrong person to associate with."

Phantam Fairtex:  "Wesley Crane sure knows how to pick them.  I guess he promised them a new pair of pants, a bigger farm and maybe a shower to get the stink off.  Still we won't take them lightly which we never do by the way."

Tong Fairtex:  "Now there's a team nobody mentions since they seem insignificant but we'll give them a shout out called Bear-O-Dactyl.  They are the only CWF team in this tournament and only seem significant because they were in the old NPW."

Phantam Fairtex:  "Whom The Dark Stars slapped around for the imperial Crown Tag team Championships before running away.  Well here's some advice Bear-O-Dactyl stay away and withdraw before you embarrass yourselves."

Tong Fairtex:  "Speaking of whom The Dark Stars have surprised us and everyone else in the tag team division.  They never backed down from any opponent and their valet Commandrix is dangerous both inside and outside the ring.  They can give anyone including us a fight and a war in this match."

Phantam Fairtex:  "Of course there's The Oblivion Death Squad and being they are associated with Donzig-gun makes them even twice as dangerous."

Tong Fairtex:  "If Sinclair Godfrey leads them into the match makes them even more dangerous and we have to watch out for them."

Phantam Fairtex:  "Then again Sinclair and Donzig will be just as dangerous in this tournament and we have to be sharp and ready if we have to step into the ring with them."

Tong Fairtex:  "They are cold and ruthless in the ring and outside the ring."

(They take another sip of their drinks.)

Phantam Fairtex:  "Now there is a team called Neon Bushido and it seems nobody is taking them seriously.  Takaru Matsui and Jeru Shimo are quite dangerous with their strikes and they both know how to wrestle opponents.  They even have this Mr. Wormwood to lead them and he seems to be a great motivator if not a good manager."

Tong Fairtex:  "Yeah Neon Bushido just ignores him whenever he tries to warn them about something or everything.  They just enjoy their manga comics and anime movies and shows.  Still we won't let that keep us from being sharp if we meet anytime in the gauntlet."

Phantam Fairtex:  "Now back to The Bastards who have to run this gauntlet.  Yeah you almost earned another moniker 'The Bandits' since you tried to run away like a gang of bandits but were caught.  We know you'll have a bunch of tricks up your sleeves and everyone including us will be ready for them."

Tong Fairtex:  "Well that's all we have to say for now and to everyone in this gauntlet run.  We wish you the best and the best team shall win and Team Fairtex shall prove beyond a shadow of a doubt why we are the better team."

Phantam Fairtex:  "Cheers."

Tong Fairtex:  "Cheers."

(They clink glasses as the scene slowly fades to black.)
