I really hate fighting people who have no respect for the X*Crown Championship. But it seems my reign will be tainted with bullshit as once again, Jason Long's mouth is writing a check his ass can't cash. See, Jason is upset that he got himself disqualified the last time we fought. And Jason thinks that even after not being worthy of the X*Crown match in the first place, somehow he's worthy today. I will argue that you're less worthy of a match. But alas, you dangle the VICTORY Pro World Championship in front of me and like a dog eyeing a piece of meat, I can't help but snatch at it.
Dylan stops and thinks for a moment.
Oh that's right, Jason is a coward and decided he doesn't need to cash in the VICTORY Pro World Championship. He can just call his shot and get what he wants. The Icon way, right? That's what we do, we take what we want because we deserve the world?
He rolls his eyes.
Give us a break dude, you aren't owed a goddamn thing. Not now, not when you were an Icon. Believe me, you aren't an Icon now. More like a Bye-Con. Maybe a few years ago in your prime, you could have had a legit claim at my first X*Crown reign. And maybe then you could have stopped it, be the guy who stopped the longest-ever reign before it got going. But you waited too long, didn't you? You're not the same Jason Long who beat Aiden Merric, Dylan Black, and Bobby Barratt in one night to become X*Crown Champion. Some would say you've aged like a fine wine in physique and accomplishments. I'd prefer to compare you to spoiled milk. Rotten, chunky, and a stinker to be around.
But all this talk of the past, let us cast our minds back to a simpler time. On a warm summer evening in late August. In a little backward arena in New Orleans. NLW's Collision Course, August 21st, 2021. You remember that day, yes? Hopefully just as much as I do, because we were both in the arena that day. We both lost, too. It's a shame. Not because our opponents were better, but there was a clause in your match that everyone seems to have forgotten about. When Scott Hampton pinned you, clean in the ring, you were told you could not challenge for the X*Crown for two whole years. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but it's not been two years since that match, right? Why are you standing across the ring from me trying to get an X*Crown match?
We know why, Jay. You have no respect for the ending of that match. And Scott Hampton's fallen off the face of the Earth. He can't hold you accountable for breaking the contract. NLW finally went under. I don't think BB Gunn gives a rat's ass what happens. So it's up to me to beat some respect into you. Because I may be an evil, manipulative, miserable cunt, but I have respect for the greatest prize in this industry and I'll be DAMNED if someone like you, who can't honor a simple contract, beats me for any prize. I'll beat you for the X*Crown, then I'll put my name in the pot for the Hardcore title. Beat you for that. Any title you ever win, I'll get in line and take your prizes! BECAUSE FRANKLY, I DON'T RESPECT ANYTHING YOU HAVE DONE OR WILL DO WITH YOUR LIFE EVER AGAIN! FUCK YOUR CRUSADE, FUCK YOUR ERA, AND FUCK! YOU!
Dylan pauses, breathing heavily. He hisses at the camera.
There's no happy ending for you now Jason. You wanted this shit to be unsanctioned so you could kill me, punish me for your lack of control? You've just signed your own death wish. YOU'RE GONNA BE IN MY WORLD NOW JAY! Unsanctioned means the superior Pillar of Violence, the first Hardcore Champion of the Network Era gets to do what he does best and pick you apart piece by piece for as long as I deem fit. And my Sisters in Violence can run down and do whatever they damn well want. Come down and break every bone in your body, throw fireballs in your face. Your big stupid friend can dance too, I'll handle him. I'm experienced in boxing with Gods.
At the end of the day, this will just be the Bitter End of your career. You will be left broken and damned in the GUNS ring. On your holiday. A shame to TAPOUT, to Ireland, and to the Icons. Never reaching the double X*Crown status like your mentors. Not that you could ever reach their heights anyways.
Fin.
