‘Can we talk about what just happened?’
Asked Saito as he followed the scowling Donzig inside the bar, the bass thumped and on stages scattered throughout the crowd there was various girls in states of undress. Donzig stared at them before he turned to glare at the Young Lion, a hand lifted and he pointed.
‘No, we are not going to talk about that again!’
‘But you guys seemed to work something out, and–’
Donzig’s eyes narrowed, and his head slowly cocked to one side as he sighed. Saito held up his hands, taking a step back. Donzig shook his head, a hand moving to tug at his beard before he looked up at one of the girls. He gave an absent nod, and swept towards the bar as the Young Lion followed after him.
‘Kid, don’t worry about it. That was what we in the business call an interlude, and maybe someday down the road everyone will see what the interlude was all about it.’
Donzig stared at the camera, and then he turned to the bartender who returned with two glasses. He shoved one into Saito’s hands, and turned back to watch the bar. Then he blinked as there was a commotion among the patrons. They were shoved aside, and a few turned angrily before drawing back with looks of alarm.
A small man stepped into view, he was clad in white and red trimmed with a gold. A cape hung from his shoulders, and he lifted his masked face to stare at Donzig. He took a step forward, and snarled angrily.
Donzig arched a brow.
‘Who is that?’ asked Saito wide eyed.
‘Shinkurain Kōtaishi! He is a wrestler, surprised you never heard of him.’
‘He’s a dwarf.’
‘Actually, he would be a midget.’
Saito blinked, and Donzig frowned.
‘What?’
‘He actually claims to be an alien prince, who just so happens to be exiled on Earth.’
The Young Lion took a drink, blinking in disbelief.
‘Are you kidding?’
‘You think earth is the only planet with political upheaval, man? Other plants can’t have coups or uprisings. Simba?’
‘But he’s speaking Mexican.’
‘Spanish, they speak Spanish in Mexico. You’re showing an ugly side, kid. Besides that is not Spanish, it is ancient Zulastran. It just sounds like Spanish.’
‘You speak ancient Zulastran?’
‘No.’
The masked man drifted closer, slapping his shoulders as he yelled to be heard over the music. People were drawing back in alarm as he walked closer to Donzig, clearly agitated. Saito gaped, and Donzig shrugged.
‘Are you serious? He’s an alien?’
‘Kid, Kono called him ‘your Grace’ so he probably is.’
The masked man jabbed a finger, and gestured around angrily. Then Donzig sat down his drink, and stalked forward with a scowl. People nearly sprinted away, before he paused and grabbed the little man in a hug.
Saito Haruki’s mouth dropped open, and the pair walked back over.
‘What?’
‘Simba, you need to calm down. Shinkurain Kōtaishi, this is my new sidekick in Japan. I call him, Simba. I am sure he has a real name, I just don’t care what it is.’
The little masked man nodded his head at Saito, mumbling something before he looked back to Donzig.
‘I need allies for my fight against SKY Force.’
The alien prince nodded, and then spoke again with a series of gestures.
‘What the fuck do you mean which SKY Force?’
The masked man nodded, and spoke again with a series of wild gestures as Donzig took a swallow from his glass. He grunted, and leaned against the bar with a frown.
‘Florida Man? Like a Gorn SKY Force?’
A shrug.
‘Listen. I need more allies. You know anyone?’
The Masked Man bobbed his head, speaking rapidly before Donzig gave a sigh.
‘Sure, let’s go. Simba! We’re rolling out!’
