Match One: Special Grudge Match; 30 Minute Time Limit
Zolothach Vs. Beretta Blade
Zolothach Vs. Beretta Blade
MUSHI: "(These two women have had heated words and exchanges over the past couple of months now. This is Blades first singles match in JROK and the first singles encounter with Zolothach in a sanctioned match.)"
Psycho KGB: "(And what a match to kick off tonight's stacked show. We've seen plenty of great matches and moments in the preshow, but now it's time for the main show!)"
The match begins with a furry of fire from these two women. Seeing both Blade and Zolothach lay into one another with stiff punches to the head and face. Zolothach backs her up and whips her into the ropes. Blade comes off them and bounces back with with the blackboot blade. Zolothach would catch her with a t-bone Suplex into the corner.
A quick pin would get a one count. Zolothach would soon put the heat on Beretta. Throwing lefts and rights, driving her into the corner. Blade kicks her in the gut after blocking a chop. Laying here out with a series of chops of her own before climbing to the top rope.
Psycho KGB: "(Blade going to the high risk district! She knows it's going to take a lot to take out Zolothach.)"
She goes for a senton, but eats two boots right into her spine. Zolothach kicks her so hard she bounces off her boots and flies out of the ring. Blade hits the outside hard as Zolothach goes up to the top rope now.
"(Now Zolothach risking it all with a dragonrana to the outside!)"
The young Blade manages to roll through and clocks Zolothach with a short armed lariat. Zolothach takes a few steps back before charging with an attack of the mind.
She picks Beretta up and goes to whip her into the barricade. Blade reverses and sends Zolothach flying head first into the barricade. The second generation star picks up her opponent and drops her spine first onto the barricade. As Zolothach hangs over, Blade hits a leg drop on her from the apron.
Blade struggles, but rolls her back into the ring. She locks in her stf submission, the bladesinger.
Psycho KGB: "(Bladesinger locked in tight!)"
MUSHI: "(Zolothach is clawing her way to the ropes!)"
Zolothach gets to the ropes, but there's no rope breaks. She makes it to the outside, both crashing to the outside again. Blade tries to keep hold, but switches to a top mount. Laying in stiff elbows to her opponent.
Zolothach catches one and slips into a sleeper cobra hold.
MUSHI: "(Tranq Out locked in tight!)"
Psycho KGB: "(But it's no use outside the ring! They got to get back init to win it!)"
Blade fights to a knee and manages to drive zolothach into the apron. She slides in and goes to the opposite corner.
Zolothach follows suit and charges Blade. Blade dodges a lariat and runs across the ring. Bouncing off the ropes and whipping zolothach into the corner. Zolothach throws Beretta above onto the top rope. Blade bounces off and catches her with the whisper in the wind.
MUSHI: "(Daddy wasn't there!)"
Psycho KGB: "(But Beretta sure was! And the cover!)"

Blade boots her before picking her up. Dropping her with the burden carrier for another pin and the win.

Match Two:
Interim JROK New Wave Championship Match
JROK Rules
60 Minute Time Limit
Esmerelda Kanyon Vs. Mistuo Shimada ©
Psycho KGB: “Tonight has only just begun. Our second bout of the evening is about to begin.“
MUSHI: “A night full of championship defenses. Next up we have the Interim New Wave Champion Mitsuo Shimada defending against Esmeralda Kanyon.“
Fumio Demura: “The following match is scheduled for ONE FALL and is for the INTERIM JROK NEW WAVE Championship! Sanctioned under JROK rules, this bout will have a 60 minute time limit!”
Psycho KGB: “Kanyon has a tall order in her way to becoming the next Interim New Wave champion.“
MUSHI: “Mitsuo is a fighting champion, and it will take everything in Kanyon to remove Mitsuo from that position.“
Fumio Demura: “Introducing first! Hailing from Washington, DC, of the United States of America! Weighing in this evening at 150 pounds! Ladies and gentlemen, I give to you – ESMERELDA KANYON!”
“Party in the USA” by Miley Cyrus plays through the Hokkaido Sports Center in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan and fans are less than thrilled as Esmerelda Kanyon comes through the curtain with Agent Smith & Agent Johnson only a step behind her on each side. A bedazzled singlet with the USA colors sparkles under the spotlight that follows her from the entrance stage to the JROK ring. Agent Smith & Agent Johnson help Esmerelda Kanyon up on the apron with a hand each, before elevating her with perfect synchronization so that she stands on the apron and opens her arms up wide for the audience to see her radiant glow. Entering the ring, Kanyon spins once before finding the center of the squared circle. A pause as the spotlight dawns down from above on her, and then pyro shoots sparkling red, white, and blue from the turnbuckle posts.
MUSHI: “You can see the fight in Kanyon’s eyes. She looks poised and confident. “
Psycho KGB: “I would too with those agents ringside.”
Fumio Demura: “Introducing next! Hailing from Hiroshima, Japan! Weighing in tonight at 230 pounds! He is the reigning and defending Interim JROK New Wave Champion! Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for one of the members of Heroes 4 Hire – MITSUO SHIMADA!”
"Stardust" by Kazsin resonates through the sound system and the fans rise to their feet for the Heroes 4 Hire and Interim New Wave Champion, Mitsuo Shimada. Ready and poised with his entrance from the curtain, the championship gold wrapped around his waist with pride. The Hero 4 Hire member takes his time walking down the ramp to the ring, acknowledging the fans enthusiasm and getting a good look at the Agents that Esmerelda Kanyon brought with her.
MUSHI: “There is no doubt in Mitsuo that those Agents are going to be a problem. The game plan has to be to end this one quickly.“
Psycho KGB: “The longer it goes on, the more likely Kanyon has the edge of her Agents have anything to say about it.”
Match
DING! Ding! Ding!
Esmerelda and Mitsuo tie up in the center of the ring. A fight for leverage ensues and Shimada wins as he pushes Kanyon to the ropes before the referee forces them to break. Kanyon cuts under the arm of Shimada and waist locks the champion. After a couple attempts to lift Shimada, Kanyon grabs the neck and goes for a neck breaker but Shimada is quick to dodge the star’s attack. Mitsuo Shimada turns around to face Kanyon and receives a dropkick that staggers him to the ropes. A second drop kick and Shimada goes through the second and top rope, landing on the apron. Kanyon kicks the knee of Shimada as he climbs to his feet and he stumbles. The referee comes between the two and stops Esmeralda from attacking Mitsuo while he’s not in the ring. Agent Smith takes this time to clothesline the legs of Shimada and send him back first on the apron. Mitsuo rolls under the bottom rope and Kanyon uses the ropes to bounce in the air and drop a well placed elbow on the chest of the champion. She’s goes for a cover.
One!
Two—
Rope break!
Psycho KGB: “As we figured, Kanyon’s Agents making use of the referee’s back being turned. Surprisingly though, Esmeralda was unaware of their help.”
MUSHI: “Do you think that she knows they assist her like this? So far we have yet to see her tell them to do anything here in JROK, yet their presence has always been felt by her opponents throughout any contest Kanyon’s involved in.”
Psycho KGB: “As hired bodyguards I expect they know their role and do their best to remain unseen during a match. Doing so has benefited Kanyon greatly already in this match up for the Interim JROK New Wave Championship.”
Esmerelda Kanyon pulls Mitsuo Shimada from the mat and hits a jaw-cracking uppercut that rocks him towards a near corner. Mounting Mitsuo using the second ropes, Kanyon begins laying in punches as the referee begins to warn her that she needs to get down. Mitsuo ducks down and lifts her up in the air, running halfway across the ring before dropping Kanyon on her back with a sit out powerbomb! Using his legs to pin her shoulders down, Mitsuo goes for the pin!
One!
Two!
Kick out!
Mitsuo Shimada rises and lifts Kanyon as he does. Another uppercut by Kanyon rocks the champ, and then a step-up Enziguri by Kanyon! MISS! Mitsuo ducks it and grabs her by the leg, locking in an Indian deathlock as he puts the pressure on Kanyon’s back by squatting down!
Psycho KGB: “Oh no, this doesn’t look good for Esmerelda! Mitsuo has that submission locked in good and she’s nearly in the middle of the ring!”
MUSHI: “Crawling with her fingernails digging in the canvas, Kanyon is giving it her all to reach the ropes! Kanyon might make it — a finger's length away from a rope break!”
Shimada adjusts and drags Kanyon back to the center of the ring but Kanyon rolls her body so she can crawl between the legs of Shimada. She grabs the waist of Shimada’s tights and pulls him down, POKE TO THE EYE! Shimada releases her legs and grabs his eyes only to receive two kicks to the chest that send him backwards, tripping over the middle rope and tumbling out of the ring.
MUSHI: “Kanyon smart with that tactic to escape but wait, what is she doing now? It looks like her left calf is hurt?”
Psycho KGB: “Or she’s faking an injury to distract the referee! Yep, look what Agent Johnson is doing to the champ on the outside! “
Agent Johnson uses Mitsuo Shimada like a lawn dart and run him head first into the corner post before snake eyeing the champion on the steel steps. Agent Johnson picks up Mitsuo though and rolls him under the bottom rope before turning his back to the ring and folding his arms, acting like nothing happened. Esmerelda Kanyon uses the referee’s shoulder to lean on as she explains the pain but soon sees Mitsuo on the apron and limps over towards Shimada. Dropping all her weight down on both feet, she lifts Shimada up in a near by corner and flips him upside down to lock his feet in a tree of woe. Kanyon exits the ring to the apron and ascends the turnbuckles.
MUSHI: “She’s going to pull it off now! Here comes the Salsa Atomica, her trademark finishing move! Nobody gets up from this KGB.“
Psycho KGB: “On the top rope now, Shimada leaning forward —- NO! “
Shimada trips the foot of Kanyon and she comes crashing down on the top turnbuckle! Shimada freed a foot in the process and is now on the second ropes, turning Kanyon around but for what? SHIMADA SPECIAL FRANKENSTEINER!
MUSHI: “OH MY LORD!“
Psycho KGB: “NOBODY IS SURVIVING THAT! “
One!
Two!
Three!
Fumio Demura: “Winner of this match and STILL INTERIM JROK NEW WAVE CHAMPION - MITSUO SHIMADA!”
Psycho KGB: “That’s all for the Interim JROK New Wave defense tonight. Mitsuo Shimada remains the champion, sending Kanyon on her way as her Agents carry her to the back. “
MUSHI: “That was some impressive work by Mitsuo, overcoming all the odds and coming out with the victory. “
Psycho KGB: “Perched on the turnbuckle with the New Wave Championship high in the air, Mitsuo Shimada — WHAT THE HELL! “
As Mistuo Shimada celebrates her win for the Interim JROK New Wave Championship her music is suddenly cut off with the sound of clapping, that clapping coming from Darlene Price who is on the entrance tron.
"Congratulations chica, you did it! You won the fake one! Good Job!"
She gives a sinister grin.
"Thing is chica, that's a fake title, and you're a fake champions because, see now that I am back from vacation, thanks again boss, I'm here to remind you, and every other stupid ass bitch in this locker room, who just is the REAL New Wave champion. So really Shimada, all you've really won, is my complete and utter vengeance. You are now prime target number one. But don't worry chica, this isnt on tape delay, and I'm not coming out there to beat you up so you can stop looking behind your back, because I don't need to.
Because, not only am I the TRUE, New Wave champion, I AM JROK's New Wave, I was the wave of fire that broke on the shores of triple s, and from those ashes rose JROK, JROK that was shaped in MY image, MY vision, MY mission of VIOLENCE. So go on and call yourself whatever you want, soon, you, and everyone else will be reminded, that not only is EVE JROK, but JROK is Extremely Violent Everyday."
She holds up her New Wave championship belt to cover half her face leaving only the side painted as a fiery sugar skull.
"I'll see you in New York puta."
Match Three: Super Duos Championship Match; Total Elimination Death Match; 60 minute Time Limit
Strike 2 Kill Vs. Super Sake Presents: Off The Wagon (C.)
Fumio Daemura: "(This match is a a Total Elimination Death Match! And is for the Interim JROK Super Duos Championship! The only way to win this match is by eliminating all members of the opposing team! Now introducing first, representing Heroes For Hire, they are the challengers! Strike 2 Kill!)"
The two young men come out to cheers as they make their way into the ring.
MUSHI: "(Strike 2 Kill have had a chance before, challenging The New Age Killers a few years back. Since then they've grown and learned a lot.)"
Psycho KGB: "(These guys are much more young and willing to put their bodies through hell. It might be that kind of attitude that gets them the win in the biggest match of their JROK careers.)"
Fumio Daemura: "(And introducing next, their opponents! They REIGNING DEFENDING Interim JROK Super Duos Champions! Super Sake Presents: Off The Wagon!)"
The champions come out the many cheers and chants as they make it to the ring.
Psycho KGB: "(Defeating SKY Force in the tournament Final for the interim championships, they've been on a tear. Even winning the XHF Tag Team Titles. But tonight they look to keep the belts and prove why they're the real tag team champions.)"
MUSHI: "(Off The Wagon are a well established team. Being together since the original XHF in the early noughts. They're one of the top tag teams in the world.)"
The bell rings and the starts off with Liam Richardson and Randy Angel. Both men start off with a tie up. The bigger Angel, takes advantage and gets a headlock locked in tight. Richardson drives him into the ropes. Only for Randy to use momentum to flip him into a headlock takeover. He starts to give him a hellacious noogie, taking some hair and forming a small bald spot on the top of Liam's head!
[Psycho KGB: "(Big Brother Headlock!)"
MUSHI: "(JROKs Big Brother strikes with a classic move. Taking a little more than Liam may have wanted.)"
Randy picks him up and attempts to drive his head into the mat. Liam slips out and backs to his corner in a hurry. Tagging out to Miles Watson. Randy mocks Richardson as he tags out to Kris Quake.
Psycho KGB: "(Randy was a cunt hair away from taking out Richardson! And he knew it!)"
Miles rushes Quake with a boot. Dropping him down and continuing the assault with clubbing blows. Randy grabs at the young man and hot shots him into the ropes. Kris rolls him up with a picture perfect O'Conor roll.

THR-
Watson kicks out. Both men to their feet now and Quake comes off the ropes with a roaring elbow. Knocking the taste out of Miles mouth. Knocking him over in the process he goes for that curb stomp. Watson slips free and tags out.
Richardson in the ring now waits for Quake to come to his side of the ring. Kris is on the prowl as he slowly approaches Liam. Liam pounces with a quick springboard off the bottom rope and a super kick midair. Dropping his opponent down. Liam tags to his partner as they both unleash an ungodly amount of superkicks to Kris Quake.
MUSHI: "(Early Onset Alzheimer's!)"
They go for the cover but get a two count. Miles keeps up the offense. Watson and Kris duke it out brawling back and forth. Watson with some high flying offense backs the monopoly man down. Miles goes sky high and crashes like a meteorite with a nasty meteora. Dropkicking Randy on the way back up and hitting a tornado kick to Quake. He picks him up and drops him with a jumping pile-driver.
Psycho KGB: "(count to fuck! And look Richardson is taking it to Randy on the outside!)"
The cover and pin!
One!
Two!!
Three!!!
Fumio Daemura: "(Kris Quake is eliminated.)"
Miles waits for Randy, who's all alone now. Getting ready to strike the veteran down with a boot as he edges. Closer to the ring. Randy plays it smart though. Dowing a bottle of super sake, responsibly. It gives him the power to keep going, as he holds the bottle tight in his hand. Randy slides in.
As soon as he does Miles goes at him, but eats a bottle to the side of the head. Randy smashes it across his head, causing glass to shatter everywhere. He pulls out some pocket sand and chucks it at Liam before going for the pin.
One!
Two!!
Three!!!
Fumio Daemura: "(Miles Watson has been eliminated.)"
Liam is seen ringside pouring water in his eyes. They're beat red as he gets to the apron and bounces off with a springboard. Angel ducks and runs the ropes. Locking in another headlock. Liam grabs him and drops the drunk with a backdrop driver. Both men down now.
MUSHI: "(You can't out trick Randy Angel. And that's what they're learning quickly tonight!)"
Liam and Randy get to a knee as they grab one another and begin throwing haymakers at one another. Richardson throws Angel into the corner. He charges him at full speed but Angel flips him over the ropes.
Hotshot by Richardson! Giving the champ a taste of his own medicine. He bounces off the ropes and jumps to the top rope, hitting a nasty Moonsault. He climbs back up looking to finish things. Going for another one.
Randy gets his boot up, driving it into his ribs. Liam bounces off him as Randy gets up. Grabbing him with another big brother headlock and dropping him hard with a DDT.
"(drunk dropper! That's it!)"

Three!!!
Fumio Daemura: "(Your winners of this match and STILL Interim JROK Super Duos Champions… Super Sake Presents: Off The Wagon!)"
With the Under Pressure show in full motion, the Japanese audience was riding a high coming into the early part of the card tonight. It was only once a year that the King of Hokkaido tournament was held, and tonight would be the night that this year’s winner would be crowned. In the Hokkaido Sports Center in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan, the backdrop above the entrance stage would light up and the arena lights dimmed, as a camera comes into focus backstage. Standing before them in his black and red scaly attire, was the King of Violence, Jesse Jamester.
Jesse Jamester: “Tonight you see the culmination of the King of Hokkaido tournament. But know this, the winner of that match is on a path to facing me. As long as the Tour of Violence continues in JROK, I will make any one claiming to be a King around here regret doing so.”
A clearing of a throat is heard, and the camera zooms out to show the Agent of The King of Violence standing at the right of his client. The 3’6” agent pipes up as he pulls on his suspenders.
Kieran Roth: “Don’t forget that other thing.”
Nodding as he strokes his beard at the bottom of the reptilian mask he wears, Jesse’s hand comes up and points to the camera.
Jesse Jamester: “After I take the Interim Visual Kei Championship from Brendan Harding tonight, I am challenging Steve Awesome or Prima to a match for the XHF Hardcore Championship. No, that won’t be on a JROK show though. Instead I want to take that fight to the XHF’s Night of Champions at the end of July.”
Kieran Roth nods with a toothy grin on his face as he lets his suspenders snap back on his dress shirt.
Jesse Jamester: “There is no end in sight for the torment and suffering I plan on inflicting to the JROK roster. Gear up fellas, there ain’t no stopping this tour of violence once I have gold in my possession.”
Shoving the camera down, Jesse and Kieran walk off down the hallway and out of sight.
Match Four:
XHF Hardcore Championship Match
Exploding Barbed Wire Cage Death Match
60 Minute Time Limit
Primal Vs. Steve Awesome ©
Fumio Demura: “The following match is scheduled for ONE FALL and is for the XHF Hardcore Championship! This match will be an EXPLODING BARBED WIRE CAGE DEATH MATCH! There will be a time limit of sixty minutes!”
Psycho KGB: “A battle of Hardcore proportions is about to unfold and rock the very foundation of JROK tonight!“
MUSHI: “Steve Awesome has another defense to get through tonight, and some are calling it his toughest yet. Primal seeks to take the the man known for his hair flips and raise him a hair while taking Steve inside this Exploding Barbed Wire Cage set up before us.”
Fumio Demura: “Introducing first! Hailing from Deep in the Jungle by way of Canada! He weighed in this evening at 288 pounds! Best known to the world as ‘Beast of the North’ and ‘Jungle Man’, ladies and gentlemen, I give you — PRIMAL!”
"Am I Savage" by Metallica hits the sound system and the audience reacts. The lights dim and mist forms around the ramp. The tron shows images of a deep dense jungle slowly being traversed and ends up on an image of Primal's hideous mask. His "true face". Primal slowly slinks out of the back and to the stage as the heavy riffs kick in. He looks around until the lyrics start, then he lets out a growl and spits on the stage. Primal walks with purpose to the ring where he shakes the Steel Cage siding, gazing up at the mesh prison he was about to enter. Taking the steps up to the cage door, Primal wastes no time entering and taking to the far corner. He looks around in pity at the humans who watch him, decked in the horrid trappings of this false "civilization". He slinks to the corner and sits down awaiting his foe.
MUSHI: “Wow, what a savage this man is. Look at the calmness he posses while standing their waiting. “
Psycho KGB: “It’s uncanny to think of Steve as an underdog, but this may be the night those words were truer than ever before.“
Fumio Demura: “Introducing next! Hailing from Detroit, Michigan! Weighing in this evening at 238 pounds! The reigning and defending XHF HARDCORE CHAMPION! He is ‘The Face of the Franchise’ – STEVE AWESOME!"
All the lights in the arena die out and the fans in attendance start chanting
his name.
"AWE-SOME! AWE-SOME! AWE-SOME!"
[Dramatic Pause.]
"REGRETS I'VE HAD MINE!"
The lights in the arena explode to life as they flash green and black to the beat as Steve Awesome comes running out with intensity to the hyped up chorus of "Full of Regrets" by Danko Jones.
"Lonely nights/ and a whole lot of wasted time!
If you see her wont you tell her for me/
It's better this way to avoid all the misery"
The chorus plays again as Steve walks down to the ring which is surrounded by the steel cage structure. The guitar starts soloing and Steve walks up the steel steps and steps in the door of the steel cage, then Steve provocatively slips off his jacket and spins and drops into a kneel to flex his arms. Steve Awesome gets a slow motion effect as pyro sprays behind him as he holds up the XHF Hardcore Championship and absorbs the mixed reaction of the JROK audience in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan.
Match
DING! Ding! Ding!
As the bout started it would be Primal who had his way with Steve Awesome. Throwing Steve from one side of the cage to the other, using the Face of the Franchise like a ping pong ball and the cage sides as the table top. Primal lifts Steve on his shoulder and delivers a running Powerslam that shakes the barbed wire cage structure and the ring itself!
Psycho KGB: “I hope they reinforced this cage tonight. Primal is making it his mission to test its durability. “
MUSHI: “Steve has nowhere to run and a primitive predator dishing out punishment.“
Primal takes Steve by the hair and throws him into the corner, running at him full steam to shoulder tackle him in the corner. Dodging the onslaught at the last possible moment, Steve rolls out of the way and Primal eats the turnbuckle — literally shifting the ring in the process. Steve goes for a school boy.
One!
Tw—-
Kick out with authority!
Primal delivers a heavy right hand as he rises with Steve and sends Awesome backwards to the ropes. Steve rebounds and superkicks Primal in the face, staggering the primitive hair-monster of the XHF. A second superkick is dodged as Primal steps to the side and kicks the shin of the only leg Steve has on the mat. Awesome falls to his chest and is heaved back up in the air as Primal takes him by the legs and flips him into a powerbomb position, before throwing Steve back first into the steel cage! Steve crumbles between the cage and the ropes on the apron.
Psycho KGB: “The onslaught continues as we see just how dominant Primal can be. “
MUSHI: “A former NPW Imperial Tag Team Champion is Primal. There is no mistaking the freakish strength he has nor the ability of what his body can do. He has the world record for fastest growing hair after a full shave.”
Steve is dragged by the foot to the center of the ring where Primal mounts him and begins laying in brutal heavy punches. The good looks of the Face of the Franchise may be in jeopardy here as he sees one punch after another come raining down on him. By desperation or pure will, Steve pokes Primal in the eyes and escapes the mounted attack. Getting behind Primal as he holds his eyes and swings wild punches at the air, Steve takes the dreadlocked hair hanging from Primal’s back and wraps them around his neck, then runs circles around Primal until they constrict the beast.
Psycho KGB: “Using his hair against him. What a smart move by Steve Awesome! I don’t know if I have ever seen such a tactic in a wrestling ring before."
MUSHI: “Primal is a unique opponent for Steve and some would argue the greatest foe he has yet to face in defending the XHF Hardcore Championship.“
Steve let’s go of the knotted hair after seeing it was working and ascends the turnbuckle. Using the cage walls, Steve ascends higher up until he’s nearly touching the ceiling where the barbed
wire wrapped through the mesh and created a wall of pain. Just below the ceiling now, Steve would use the corner of the cage to perch himself in perfect position. Flying forward, Awesome twists his body and comes down with a twisting moonsault attack on Primal as he breaks the hair noose around his neck! Awesome knocks Primal off his feet and crashes on top of him, immediately going for a pin attempt afterwards.
One!
Two!
Kick out!
Primal showing some slowness, likely from the air being choked out of him; yet he pulls himself up and catches Steve off guard as Awesome goes for a running knee attack. Primal snatches Awesome mid-air and spine busters Steve into the canvas!
Psycho KGB: “I felt that from here!”
MUSHI: “Call a chiropractor Steve, you're going to be needing one after this match. “
Standing over Steve, Primal reaches down and lifts Steve up from under his armpits. The hairy mastadon of the XHF showing a look of ferocity that the XHF Hardcore Champion hasn’t seen in an opponent for some time. Primal’s raw strength on full display as he brings Steve to a standing base in front of him and hooks his neck.
MUSHI: “Could this be the Empty Abyss?“
Psycho KGB: “Primal’s trademark finishing move that has ended many a wrestler’s hopes and dreams. A stalling brainbuster into a Powerslam that gets extra oomph from the sheer strength of Primal.“
As predicted, Primal heaves Steve up in the air and holds him there like he weighed nothing. The beast from the Jungles of Canada had full control over the Face of the Franchise and Hardkore World star; Not for long though, as Steve takes the eyes with his free hand and drops his knee on the top of Primal’s head before falling back to his feet.
Psycho KGB: “Steve gets free!”
MUSHI: “Jawbreaker! Followed up by a superkick!”
Psycho KGB: “Steve turning to the hard cam in the corner now. Typical Steve, bragging about how hard he slaps his thigh. (Sigh)“
The bragging was possibly a bad choice for Awesome, since Primal was still on his feet but wobbly from the combination of moves. As Steve turns around he sees a wild Primal running at him with an arm stretched out ready to clothesline his head off! Steve barely ducks it but hooks the arm and uses his legs to hook the other arm of the Beast before dropping him on his back with a crucifix pin attempt!
One!
Two!
Kick out!
With the quickness Steve gets up and cuts off a rising Primal with a knee to the neck. Headlock applied, Steve runs at the cage wall and lets go of the headlock — sending Primal cranium first into the cage! Steve turns Primal around and with haste hooks the neck of Primal and delivers a sit out suplex followed by a pin attempt.
One!
Two!
Shoulder up!
MUSHI: “Primal stays in this one after a near fall. What little offense Steve Awesome has been able to muster this match is starting to wear down his opponent.“
Psycho KGB: “Countering the Empty Abyss earlier was his saving grace. Since that he’s showing the heart of a true champion. Love him or hate him, as many fans and wrestlers definitely do when it comes to Steve Awesome — the man is undeniable. Polarizing in character but a true fighting champion with the skill to back it up. “
MUSHI: “Keeping Primal down and continuing this offensive streak will be the best path to a victory here for Awesome. Ooooh! I spoke too soon.”
As Steve lifts Primal off the canvas the Jungle Man grabs a handful of Steve’s hair and repeatedly headbuttes Awesome, before biting the forehead! After a few agonizing seconds of teeth in his flesh, Primal pulls back and with an iron claw hand he shoves Steve Awesome into the steel cage wall.
MUSHI: “Primal using his signature move known as Animalistic, and it appears to have drawn blood. Steve has a steady stream gushing from where the teeth marks that imprint his forehead are. Ouch!“
Psycho KGB: “Nothing Primal does is enjoyable for his opponent to endure. Truly a freak of nature that embodies the craziest depths of what the XHF Network draws to its corner of the professional wrestling landscape.“
Primal heads toward Steve who is draped against the ropes, arms dangling as his chest leans against the top rope and blood flowing from his forehead down his nose and into his mouth. Spitting blood through the cage at the camera, Steve looks like he has been through hell and back, yet the match wasn’t over yet. Primal spins Steve around and heaves him across the ring with an Irish whip. Primal leans back on the ropes and charges forward as he lowers his body into a tackling position.
Psycho KGB: “Primal looking to hit Steve with that ever reliable and gut-wrenching spear like tackle that fans coined the name ‘Dusted’ for. When he lands this primitive-like tackle, it snaps his opponent in half like a twig MUSHI. It’s absolutely brutal!”
MUSHI: “And he looks to be doing just that—“
Psycho KGB: “AWESOME-SAULT OUTTA NOWHERE!”
In a moment of instinct overtaking Steve Awesome, he leaps up on the steel cage wall and uses the top rope to catapult himself up in the air, flipping backwards and landing on an unexpecting Primal with his signature moonsault! Since Primal was so low and looking to spear Steve, he just barely gets upright before Steve crashes on top of him. Steve rolls to the left as Primal remains pancaked on the canvas where he fell.
MUSHI: “I will never understand how these athletes do things like what we just saw. The pure adrenaline it must have taken Steve Awesome to do that moonsault with flawless execution, just amazing, really KGB, it was a work of art.”
Psycho KGB: “Steve is digging down deep and pulling out the classics here tonight. As you said partner, it must have taken all the adrenaline he could produce though, because he’s in the same boat as Primal right now. Both men are flat on their backs looking up at the ceiling.“
After seconds go by of no movement, Steve rolls over and throws an arm on the hairy chest of Primal for the pin.
One!
Two!
Three?
Shoulder up at the last possible nanosecond! Primal somehow still has something in the tank. Steve rolls over clutching his hair as tries to sit up, befuddled with the sheer will-power that Primal is showing in this bout for the XHF Hardcore championship. Steve looks at the referee and holds up three fingers and the referee shakes his head as he throws up two in response. The nightmare defense against Primal is not over yet and Steve can't believe it. Willing himself to stand up, Awesome goes to the nearest corner and climbs the turnbuckle, slowly but steady he ascends to the top turnbuckle. Looking down to check on Primal, he confirms he’s not moved and then turns around and looks up. Steve grabs the cage wall and climbs up using the corner of the cage to help keep his footing.
MUSHI: “What is Steve thinking? This is a risky call if this doesn’t go as planned. “
Psycho KGB: “He may be looking to hit the Wrath of the Dragon, to put Primal away for good. But you’re absolutely right, MUSHI. If Steve doesn’t execute this; we could very well be seeing a new XHF Hardcore champion be crowned tonight. “
Turning back as he is half-way to the cage ceiling, Steve sees no Primal now? His eyes widen as he looks the opposite direction and notices Primal scaling the cage wall!
Psycho KGB: “Primal doesn’t do heights but he’s not showing any fear here. His aerial arsenal is extremely limited, but that’s not stopping him from going after Steve. “
MUSHI: “Primal grabs Awesome’s right boot and tries to pull him down! Steve kicks him in the shoulder as retaliation. Primal wobbles as he drops off the cage and steadies himself on the top rope.“
Psycho KGB: “Again with an attempt to grab the boot of Steve Awesome and HE GETS IT! “
Primal grabs the right boot and yanks on it so hard that he pulls the boot off Steve’s foot and teeters on the top rope like a gymnast walking the tight rope. The sheer upper body size of Primal does him no favors though, and his balance betrays him, causing Primal to fall backwards into the canvas as Steve leaps off the cage with a moonsault and lands with both feet on the chest of Primal in stomping fashion! Staggering backwards and falling on his arse, Steve can’t believe it worked and scurries to make the pin attempt.

Fumio Demura: “Winner of this match and STILL XHF HARDCORE CHAMPION – STEVE AWESOME!”
Wasting little time, Steve Awesome hurries to the cage door and yells for the outside referee to unlock it and let him out. He kicks the door open as soon as the lock is off and jumps to the outside floor. Snatching the chain and lock from the referee on the outside, Steve shoves him aside and begins threading the chain through the cage door and the side of the cage wall. After multiple loops, Awesome applies the lock to both ends of the chain and seals it. The outside referee argues with him as Steve walks towards the timekeeper table and grabs up his XHF Hardcore Championship. SMACK! Laying out the referee, Steve checks his pants pockets and pulls out the padlock key, holding it up to his eyes like a winning lottery ticket.
Steve Awesome: KOBE!
Chucking the key far into the crowd, it disappears in the mass of people and his bloodied face turns a satisfied smile at what he’s done here tonight at Under Pressure.
MUSHI: “That was uncalled for by the champ. Referees should not be assaulted for any reason. The gull of this man!“
Psycho KGB: “Steve had to complete the task, and getting the key was the insurance that Primal wouldn’t be able to pursue him. I don’t agree with his methods but Steve Awesome isn’t stupid, he knows how Primal works. These two have tangoed before in Northern Pro Wrestling years ago. Never underestimate the savageness of a man like Primal.“
Stumbling his way up the ramp here in the Hokkaido Sports Center. Steve Awesome clutches the XHF Hardcore Championship belt to his chest like it’s his most dearest possession. Meanwhile Primal is stirring and gets to his feet, looking at the referee who Steve locked in the cage with him. The referee shakes his head and pleads to be left alone, which surprisingly Primal does so without much thought. Instead, Primal goes to the cage door and tries opening it, but the chain and lock are tight and the door doesn’t budge.
Psycho KGB: “Steve Awesome survived Primal this evening by the skin of his teeth, and that’s saying a lot. Locking Primal in the cage post-match might have been the wrong move though, as it appears to have enraged the Hairiest Monster of the XHF like we have never seen before!”
MUSHI: “It is insanity how strong Primal is. Are you seeing what I’m seeing? He’s shaking that cage wall and it literally looks like he might break through it or even snap it off the structure all together. Wow!”
Stopping at the top of the ramp where the stage flattens out, Steve Awesome heaves the XHF Hardcore championship in the air as he gloats over tonight’s victory and his handy work trapping Primal in the Barbed wire exploding cage.
THWACK!
MUSHI: “IT’S JASON LONG!”
Psycho KGB: “We knew that the rivalry over the XHF Hardcore championship wasn’t over between these two. Jason Long proves us right again with a Kendo stick to the back of Steve Awesome!”
A second and third smack of the kendo stick drops Awesome to his knees as he drops the XHF Hardcore title. Jason Long drops the kendo stick and snatches Steve by the hair, pulling him up and immediately delivering a BURNING SKY on the stage!
Psycho KGB: “A sheer drop death valley driver brainbuster on that unforgiving stage has laid out Steve Awesome!”
MUSHI: “After that hellacious battle with Primal, it’s Jason Long who gets the last laugh here at Under Pressure”
Match Five: Academy/EVE Series Match Three of Three; Barbed Wire Death Match; 60 Minute Time Limit
Rob Arnold Vs. Dylan Black
Rob Arnold Vs. Dylan Black
Fumio Daemura: "(This is the third and final match of the EVE/Academy series. And this is a barbed wire death match! Introducing first from Bristol, England, United Kingdom standing in at 6'3 and weighing in at 238 pounds… he is Rob Arnold!)"
Rob makes his way down the ramp way when a sudden blur of black and silver smashes across his back. We see the figure start to strangle Arnold with a chain as he claws behind him to break free. We see Dylan Black as the attacker.
MUSHI: "(Shades of their first encounter all the way in AXW four years ago!)"
Psycho KGB: "(This time it's Dylan who's kicking things off! These two men have had a storied rivalry since those four years.)"
MUSHI: "(Black won that encounter after V added five more minutes to the match, their last encounter was for the X*Crown which Black also won. Rob has never beaten Dylan in singles action. Can he finally do it tonight? We'll find out here in 60 minutes!)"
Rob jabs his eye hole and breaks free, crawling away and making his way down to the ring. Dylan steps back before following him. Chain still in hand. He swings wildly, but misses. Rob ducks and kicks Black in the gut. Grabbing him by his long hair and driving him face first into the barricade.
Dylan drops like a bad habit as Arnold unloads some stomps. He looks under the ring and pulls out a table. Setting it up ringside before clubbing Black with some forearms. He picks him up and places him onto the table. Diving off and going for a leg drop. Dylan rolls out of the way as he stumbles towards the commentary table. Rob is down for a minute before crawling out of the wreckage. Looking around before seeing his bitter enemy. Rob charges Dylan, only for The Main Character to flip the former X*Crown champion over his shoulder and onto the concrete between the barricade and commentary table. He gets up and grabs a monitor, smashing it across the face of Dylan. The Daemon shows his hardcore experience, holding his own and smashing a monitor across the skull of Arnold.
MUSHI: "(These two are giving each other hell and the match hasn't even officially started yet!)"
Both men tumble as the crowd explodes in excitement. Rob and Dylan get back to their feet, throwing punches at one another. Back and forth as Black ducks a left and drops Arnold onto the table.
He climbs on top of the table too, grabbing Rob into a piledriver position. Rob hooks his leg and blocks it. He slips free and drives his enemy through the commentary table with a dragon Suplex. Rob hops the barricade and rolls under the barbed wire.
Psycho KGB: "(Finally someone gets to the ring. These two almost killed one another before the bell even started!)"
Dylan manages to climb out of the rubble and get into the ring as well. The referee signals for the bell as the two men lay each other out with punches and knees in the middle of the ring.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
MUSHI: "(Finally this match has officially started! Just think what they'll do now!)"
Dylan grabs Arnold and tries throwing him into the barbed wire wall surrounding the two on all four sides. He stops dead in his tracks, only to be met with a shotgun dropkick to the back. Causing him to fall forward into the barbed wire. It ribs at his skin as he screams in pain. We see multiple cuts and blood all over his front now.
Dylan goes for a disaster piece bicycle knee, but is caught into a t-bone Suplex by Rob into the barbed wire. He crashes hard back first and lands on his neck on the way down. Making a sick thud.
Psycho KGB: "(No love lost even after all these years with both men tasting that barbed wire early on!)"
MUSHI: "(Over both previous matches Dylan was two very different people. Back in AXW he was the young mysterious hero and Rob was the villain. The second encounter saw Rob lose his X*Crown and the birth of the greatest reign in the belts history. The birth of The Main Character had started right then and there that night.)"
Psycho KGB: "(Arnold has gone through ups and downs himself. Mainly playing the mentor role to the next generation in Leon Chant and now TEMERARIO. But tonight? Dylan the only two time Visual Kei Champion. A three time X*Crown Champion. Rob a multi time world champion, two time X*Crown champion. It's a battle between the old XHF promotion and the new XHF Network. Two stars of those eras. Clashing for the third time!)"
Dylan stomps him some before picking him up, going for a Suplex of some kind. Arnold slips behind Black and lands a German Suplex and then another. He rolls over and keeps his grip. Landing the third one and bridging into a pin.

Kick out!
Black rolls onto his feet and drives that knee into Arnold. Disaster piece connects as he takes some steps back. He charges Dylan with a running round house kick. The Daemon gets rocked as he still stands on his feet. Replying with a low leg sweep. Rob jumps over it and hits Black with a PK kick to the face.
Dylan stumbles as he tries to get back to his feet. Tackling his opponent down and laying into him with mounted punches. He drives his thumb in his eye. Rob screams as he drives a thumb of his own to the eye socket of Dylan.
Dylan let's go and makes some distance. Both men circling one another now. Rob goes for a superkick, but it's caught. Dylan spins him around before kicking him in the gut. He grabs him and drags him towards the barbed wire.
At the last second Arnold reverses it and smashes Black face first into the barbed wire. Washing his face all over it. He slams him hard on the mat for the pin.
One!
T-
Kick out!
Blood pours over his face as the messiah of mayhem wears that crimson mask. The blood fuels the ultraviolet extremist as he pops Arnold with a headbutt to the jaw. Rob backs up and eats a slap to his chest. He retorts with a slap of his own. Both men lit each other up. Making their chests minced meat.
Black grabs The Veterans hand and snaps his fingers. Rob winces as he gets caught with a palm strike and another disaster piece. He grabs Arnold by the head and rubs his face into the barbed wire. He props him up on the barbed wire before hitting a third disaster piece onto Rob. He eats barbed wire and begins gushing a waterfall of blood.
Psycho KGB: "(Both men bleeding as they're introduced to that sharp barbed wire.)"
Dylan drops him with a royal massacre package piledriver. Keeping hold, he goes for the first pin of the night

Th-
Kick out by Rob Arnold!
Dylan stomps him before reaching in his pocket.
MUSHI: "(What could he possibly pull out now?! )"
Psycho KGB: "(wire cutters! This is about to be good!)"
Dylan lifts the wire cutters high in the air before cutting off some barbed wire and wrapping it around his hand and forearm. Punching Rob in the face. He ducks a punch and hits him with a spin kick. He now reaches into his trunks, pulling out a bag. He gets a handful but is hit. The bag and white substance flies in the air and rains down on both men.
Psycho KGB: "(That's not crack folks! Look, it's salt!)"
Both men scream as they burn all over. Now red white and feeling blue all over. They do their best impression of the Japanese Flag.
Rob is the first to react. Crashing a superkick into Blacks face. He eats a spin kick next and then a curb stomp.
"(Shattered Ice! This is it folks!)"

KICK OUT!
Dylan kicks out of the shattered ice! Running on fumes Black fights to his feet. Still staggering around. Rob goes for a kitchen sink but is caught into a Spanish fly into barbed wire.
He comes up and delivers a wicked step sister. Dynamic Outro connects and it's a pin attempt!

KICK OUT!!!!!!!
MUSHI: "(Now Arnold is kicking out of his finisher! Both men showing an ungodly amount of fighting spirit tonight!)"
Both men lay on the mat bloody and broken. Dylan's eyes just as wide and shocked as Robs and everyone else's.
Both men get up to a knee. Flipping one another off they claw into the gashes on their heads. Opening up the cuts more and causing even more blood to gush out like a cherry geyser.
Rob hits him again, this time grabbing some barbed wire and carving into Dylan's head even more. Dylan grabs the barbed wire and punches Rob in the gut. He grabs him from behind and shoved some barbed wire into Robs mouth. He hits him with a super kick before picking him up onto his shoulders.
MUSHI: "(Wait a minute, wait a minute! He's not going for it is he?)"
Dylan grabs Rob and drives him neck first into the barbed wire.
Psycho KGB: "(Shades of Anomoly! That's the original Ragnarok!)"
He keeps hold for the pin.

Fumio Daemura: "(Your winner of this match, the JROK Visual Kai Champion… Dylan Black!)"
MUSHI: "(Dylan does it! He beats Rob Arnold yet again. A close match from both men, but Black had to dig deep to pick up the victory tonight.)"

Fumio Demura: “The following match is scheduled for ONE FALL and is for the INTERIM JROK VISUAL KEI CHAMPIONSHIP! Sanctioned under the rules as a Windows, Doors, and Sinks Death Match! A winner will be decided only by pinfall or submission, or due to reaching the 60 minute time limit for this match.”
MUSHI: “Things are about to become unhinged here in the Hokkaido Sports Center.”
Psycho KGB: “Literally! Doors, windows and sinks are scattered around the ringside area. Painful intentions are about to be unleashed as Jesse Jamester takes on Brendan Harding for the Interim JROK Visual Kei championship.”
MUSHI: “It’s taken Brendan a long time to get to this point but he’s proven that he is as good as any to carry JROK on his back. Tonight though, he faces a foreign enemy who seeks to demolish all in his way. The King of Violence versus King Zen, a bipolar tale of the squared circle about to unfold.”
Fumio Demura: “Introducing the challenger! Hailing from Calgary, Alberta, Canada! Weighing in tonight at 284 pounds! Known to the XHF as the Murder Lizard, or as he is revered in the Northern American hemisphere, the Canadian Nightmare. Tonight, as he continues his Tour of Violence, he demands to be called ‘The KING OF VIOLENCE’ — JESSE JAMESTER!"
♫ You are wrong, fucked, and overrated
I think I'm gonna be sick and it's your fault
This is the end of everything
You are the end of everything ♫
Music blares over the sound system of the arena. Green and white lights begin to flicker down in a circle near the entrance way. Guitars shred as drums beat viciously through the speakers. Fans begin stomping their feet before seeing the imposing figure cast a shadow in the lit up circle. The Murder Lizard of the XHF steps forward and throws his head up, whipping his hair back as the scaly black reptile style mask that struck fear into opponents took the stage. Jesse Jamester makes his way through the curtain, sporting black boots with red laces with a lizard wrapped in barbed wire on the outside of each boot, and a bloody barbed wire design circling his tights. Fists taped up with black athletic tape, a black elbow pad on his right arm, and all the tattoos and scars visible from neck to abdomen, down both arms, and his neck and back as he stops and raises his arm up with a fist, bowing his head down and soaking in the red spotlight that shines down on him from above.
Psycho KGB: “Jesse has been on a roll with his singles competition. Up until the King of Hokkaido tournament, he was undefeated in JROK. With his appetite for destruction; I fear for our Interim Visual Kei Champs livelihood.“
MUSHI: “No telling what the Murder Lizard will do to get his hands on the gold; and furthermore, Dylan Black. A former Pillar of Violence brother who Jesse turned his back on last Oh Violent Night, before beginning the tour of Violence this year. Jesse has had his eyes set on taking out Black, and a win tonight would put him in the driver seat of doing just that.”
Taking a moment to soak it in, the Murder Lizard scans the arena, and makes his way down the aisle towards the ring. As he approaches the ring side area, Jesse steps up on the second step of the black ring steps, cracking his neck and shrugging his shoulders in a warmup manner. The murder lizard proceeds to wipe his boots on the apron, putting the ring to his back as he leans one arm over the top rope and a hand up to his eyebrows, getting a better look at the audience. In one motion, he steps between the ropes and enters the ring, showing authority in his body language; shoulders back, head up, face looking straight ahead. Jesse throws his right fist up in the air, and then lets it slowly return to his side as the music begins to fade out.
Fumio Demura: “Introducing next! Hailing from Camden, London, England! Weighing in this evening at 222 pounds! He is ONE HALF of the tag team BLACK KNIFE CABAL and a former XHF Tag Team Champions with Jack Gaines. Ladies and gentlemen, here is your reigning Interim JROK VISUAL KEI CHAMPION — ‘King Zen’ BRENDAN HARDING!
“GNOSTIC FLESH/MORTAL HELL” by HEALTH x BACKXWASH x HO99O9 blares through the arena. Walking through the curtain comes one half of the Black Knife Cabal and reigning Interim Visual Kei champion, Brendan Harding. With the Championship around his waist, Brendan takes his walk down the ramp towards the ring soaking in the energy of the Japanese crowd who cheer him on. Stepping up the stairs, he takes to the apron and poses briefly in the center of the apron before stepping through the ropes and taking to the center of the ring. Unbuckling the belt, he pulls it from his waist with his right hand and brings it high in the air by the strap as the gold glimmers under the spotlight shining down on him in the ring.
Psycho KGB: “And this one is—- What the hell?!"
Match
Throwing a door at the back of Brendan before he can finish his entrance. Jesse slides in the ring immediately and tackles Brendan to the canvas, pummeling him with punches. The height and weight advantage was favoring the Murder Lizard as he took Brendan from post to post with clotheslines before hitting a military press on the champion and sliding out of the ring. Seeking weapons of destruction, Jesse throws a sink in the ring followed by two doors, and slides a window under the ropes by one of the corners.
MUSHI: “This picked up quick!“
Psycho KGB: “No wasting time as the King of Violence lives up to the name and brings chaos with him as this match starts.“
Brendan hits a basement dropkick on Jesse as he goes to get in the ring. Pulling himself up using the ropes, Brendan grabs the top rope and slings himself over the top landing on Jesse with a crossbody that takes him to the outside floor. Rolling off him, Brendan sees a door nearby, and positions it in a slanted position against the barricade. He then grabs a second door just a few feet away and sets it up so it leans on the apron and the barricade like a makeshift table.
Psycho KGB: “Brendan has malicious ideas in mind as he sets up these doors at ringside. “
MUSHI: “I’m just happy they’re using the hardware around the ring instead of our announcer’s table.“
Turning around, Brendan sees Jesse getting up and kicks him in the chest. The Murder Lizard stands straight up, flicking his wet hair back as he stares directly at Brendan. The Interim Visual Kei champion does not back down and swings on the masked Murder Lizard with a right. Jesse returns a right of his own. The two trade punches in a series of blows at ringside until Brendan kicks the right knee of Jesse and grabs his neck in a DDT position and runs left, using the slanted door to get some height before slinging his body back and driving Jesse’s head through the slanted table laying against the barricade!
MUSHI: “Tornado DDT through a table! Harding finds a way to get the Murder Lizard back after he flung a door at Brendan during his entrance.”
Psycho KGB: “But Brendan will need to get Jesse in the ring if he wants to win this one. Pin falls and submissions only count in the ring.”
Lifting Jesse up, Brendan steers him towards the door he setup as a makeshift table using the apron and barricade. A couple clubbing blows to the back of Jesse, and Brendan heaves him into the table so he’s laying on his back. Brendan climbs the apron, looking back at Jesse once to make sure he’s not moving; then Brendan begins climbing the nearest turnbuckles. Turning around after getting to the top rope, Brendan points to Jesse and hears the roar of the crowd before leaping off the top turnbuckle!
Psycho KGB: “POPE TURTLE’S BLESSING BY BRENDAN!“
MUSHI: “OOOOOOH MY—NOOOO!“
The signature top rope senton move is a bust as Jesse rolls off the door right before Brendan is about to make contact! Splinters fly as Harding drives through the table and lands on the floor. Jesse stands up and cracks a sick smile at the destruction at his feet. Pulling Brendan up, Jesse sends him with an Irish whip towards the barricade and then stops the momentum before pulling Brendan back, hitting him with a powerslam!
MUSHI: “Oooh that’s going to sting in the morning. Especially going right into those splintered wood shards from the door!“
Psycho KGB: “Jesse saves himself and then inflicts even more damage to an already hurt Brendan Harding. Notice how there has not been a pin yet? These two know what it’s going to take to finish this match and they both know it’s nowhere near over yet.“
Sliding in the ring, Jesse begins to setup the doors and windows he had begun to litter the ring with earlier. Using a window, he places it in the corner using the bottom and top ropes to keep it in place. In the opposite corner, Jesse leans a door at a slant, making another makeshift table of the houseware for this match. Rolling out of the ring, the Murder Lizard lifts the ring apron cloth and digs for something. Meanwhile on the other side of the ring, Brendan rolls out of the mess of splintered wood and to the barricade. Picking splinters out of his shoulders and arms, the Black Knife Cabal member shows a face of pure pain with each splinter plucked from his flesh. The agony seen through clenched teeth, while blood trickled down his back from multiple locations. The crowd ‘Ooooooooh’s’ as the Murder Lizard pulls out a trashcan full of items and a sink wrapped in barbed wire. A trademark staple of the King of Violence, who obviously planted the sink prior to tonight’s match. Picking up the sink, Jesse sets it on the apron and pushes it under the bottom rope before grabbing the garbage can and walking up the steps. Lifting the trashcan full of foreign objects up and over the top rope, Jesse sets it near the corner with the window setup, before entering the ring himself.
Psycho KGB: “Brendan needs to stay away from this booby trapped ring of death that Jesse Jamester is creating. The King of Violence came with a plan tonight. By the looks of that barbed wire sink, he plans on doing more than just winning the championship tonight. Jesse Jamester wants to injure Brendan Harding.“
MUSHI: “We heard the comments earlier from Jesse Jamester. He has not been shy since starting the Tour of Violence here in JROK, that he planned on going through the roster and reminding Japan of his glory as the King of the Death Match. Not only that, but Jesse has claimed anyone with a championship is a target that will be made an example of. Brendan would be wise to stick and move here, keeping his attacks short but effective and putting distance between him and the competitor.”
Psycho KGB: “We know that Brendan is a fighting champion and likely won’t turn away from,a fight. Jesse Jamester may be a monster, but Brendan is filled with pride and honor for this business. There is no quit in Brendan Harding, and I can’t see him not taking the fight directly to Jesse.”
Heading towards the side of the ring where Brendan is, Jesse goes to step between the ropes when a window shatters over his shoulder and the side of his head. Brendan Harding came swinging and hit a home run! Glass sticks in the Murder Lizard’s shoulder as the rest falls to the apron and the floor. Brendan gets up on the apron and lifts Jesse to his feet. Omae wa mou Shindeiru! A series of rapid palm strikes from Brendan land on the chest, mask, neck, and stomach of the Murder Lizard! As Jesse drops to a knee, Brendan steps back twice and yells “You are already dead!” before running the apron and hooking Jesse’s neck with his legs, spinning his body off the apron and executing a hurricanrana on Jesse!
MUSHI: “The Murder Lizard is sent flying into the ringside barricade! Brendan finding that second wind despite all the punishment he has suffered so far. The Interim Visual Kei champion looking to take back this match and retain his championship.“
Psycho KGB: “That was an impressive series of strikes from Brendan Harding. We have seen the Omae wa mou Shindeiru used before but it’s so rare that it’s pulled off to perfection, as it was moments ago.“
MUSHI: “Brendan showing the JROK audience that size isn’t everything when it comes to the wrestling world. His speed and technique has changed the tide for him in this match. Yet, as you mentioned earlier, Brendan has to get Jesse in the ring to finish this match.“
Psycho KGB: “The ring has benefitted Brendan greatly, while outside the ring has been almost all in favor of Jesse when speaking of offense. I know I said Brendan needs to avoid the booby trapped ring the Murder Lizard has setup, but it's going to be unavoidable if he wants to end this match.“
Brendan rolls up to a knee on the outside floor and has his eyes glued on the Murder Lizard, who was laying face down six feet away. Brendan heads towards his opponent and pulls Jesse up, with some struggle, before rolling him under the bottom rope and into the ring. Climbing into the ring himself, Brendan surveys the setup of doors and windows that JJ concocted earlier. Noticing the barbed wire sink, Brendan goes for it and sets up in one of the two empty corners, using the top and middle turnbuckles to prop the sink from hell in a position so that the bottom part of the sink which was solid steel can wrapped in barbed wire was facing inwards towards the ring. Brendan heads over to Jesse and pulls him up in the last empty corner of the ring, before kicking him multiple times in the thighs and midsection. Irish whip from Brendan sends Jesse hurling towards the sink from hell!
Psycho KGB: “Jesse puts on the breaks!”
MUSHI: “Brendan sees it and has a backup plan.”
Harding comes rushing towards JJ from behind and goes to leave his feet for the Thanix Cannon! Caught mid air by the Murder Lizard! Jesse spins around and slams Harding shoulder first into the barbed wire sink from hell! The flesh of the champion is grated like cheese, before Jesse continues the assault by taking Brendan by the mid-back and dropping him with a high angle backdrop on the canvas! Jesse rolls over and hooks a leg for a pin attempt.
One!
Two!
Shoulder up!
The Murder Lizard glares at the referee before picking Brendan up and guiding him towards the propped up door corner. Jesse clubs the Interim Visual Kei champion with heavy forearm shots to his back before placing Brendan on the door so he’s facing inwards. Heading to the opposite corner, Jesse quickly turns around and bolts towards Brendan, lowering his body and dropping his head as he looks for a spear!
MUSHI: “The Murder Lizard eats wood!”
Psycho KGB: “Brendan dives out of the way, avoiding the spear and causes Jesse to go head first through the wood!”
Looking back at the mess of splintered door, Brendan rises with new hope. The spirit of the JROK audience echoes that feeling as they rise to their feet and begin chanting for the Interim JROK Visual Kei Champion.
BREN-DAN!
BREN-DAN!
BREN-DAN!
BREN-DAN!
BREN-DAN!
Running at the ropes, Brendan crosses the ring twice as Jesse stirs to find his footing. Ducking a wild right, Brendan heads pass Jesse towards the ropes on the opposite side of the ring. The Murder Lizard follows behind with a stagger in his step. Brendan springboards off the ropes back at Jesse to hit a codebreaker! The Murder Lizard springs like a slinky and lays flat on his back near the corner! Rolling the legs up, Brendan applies all his weight to the chest of his opponent as he goes for the pin.
One!
Two!
Three—SHOULDER UP!
Brendan sits to the side of his opponent with a look of “what will it take” on his face.
Psycho KGB: “That look says it all. Brendan is pulling out all the stops here tonight to put the King of Violence to rest, but Jesse won’t stay down. “
MUSHI: “It’s a testament to Brendan who many would consider an underdog in this match tonight. That is to say, in the eyes of the XHF audience. JROK fans are no stranger to the way Brendan Harding has fought and clawed his way to become the Interim Visual Kei champion. These Japanese fans see Brendan as their hometown hero. “
Psycho KGB: “Absolutely the case MUSHI. Brendan is JROK through-and-through, while Jesse Jamester is the outsider who is touring. Brendan knows if he loses the championship, it could compromise JROK’s championship pedigree. Especially if Jesse were to do what Dylan Black did, and take off with the championship to another XHF Network affiliated company.“
MUSHI: “Not defending the Murder Lizard here but if he is a man of his word, and he’s been proving to be that; then Jesse’s goal is to take the championship and represent JROK in his own image. Or so, that was what he said when he arrived here. And we know how much Jesse wants that match with Dylan, so conquering Brendan tonight and capturing the Interim Visual Kei championship puts him in a direct path to a one-on-one with Dylan.”
Psycho KGB: “Either man, Brendan or Jesse, have their reasonings for facing Dylan Black. I know I’m rooting for Brendan to pull out a victory tonight. I don’t want to be thinking about joining an unemployment line anytime soon. With Brendan as champion; I know my job is safe.”
MUSHI: “Back to the ring action, Brendan has one of the doors Jesse slid in the ring earlier. It looks like he’s setting it up diagonally on the top ropes of the empty corner.”
After securing the door diagonally as a plank of sorts in the corner, Brendan drops down and rolls out of the ring, grabbing a chair from the time keeper’s table and folding it up. Throwing the chair in the ring, Brendan proceeds to lift the ring apron up and search. After a few moments he reappears empty handed but has an epiphany moment as his eyes see the steel steps at the corner post. Pulling the steel steps off the post, Brendan shoves them in the ring awkwardly, between the bottom and middle rope. The steps get stuck so he climbs on the apron and holds up the middle rope to get the steel steps in the ring before entering himself. SMASH! The trash can of goodies comes barreling into the shoulder and neck of Brendan Harding! Jesse Jamester staggers back a step and drops the trash can, reaching for Brendan’s head that he tucks between his thighs in a piledriver position.
MUSHI: “Oh this looks bad for Brendan! He took too long and Jesse has risen again to deal out punishment. It looks like Jesse’s eyeing up those steel steps as the landing point for Brendan. “
Psycho KGB: “Jesse hoists Brendan up on his shoulders for a powerbomb!“
Over the shoulders, Brendan drops behind Jesse as the Murder Lizard tries to extend his arms to lift Brendan higher. The extra lift helps Brendan escape and he hits the far ropes with speed. THANIX CANON! Jesse leans on the ropes, barely conscious from the looks of his eyes fluttering. Brendan grabs him by an arm, pulls him forward and dips behind Jesse. Hooking the neck, Brendan puts Jesse in a reverse DDT look before lifting him up for a reverse suplex!
Psycho KGB: “Brendan goes for the Zen Driver!“
MUSHI: “Going from a reverse suplex into a tombstone piledriver, Brendan’s Zen Driver is similar to the Violent Grave that Jesse uses. The main difference is the reverse suplex setup, which we are seeing Brendan struggle with as he attempts to lift the 293 pound Murder Lizard.”
Psycho KGB: “The damage to that shoulder over the course of this match is showing right now. Brendan drops Jesse back down to the reverse DDT position, and clutches his shoulder as he winces in pain.“
Brendan adjusts and tries to use the other arm but Jesse slips out of the grapple and knees Brendan in the abdomen. Grabbing Brendan by the head, Jesse slams it off the door the champ placed on the top ropes of the corner. Continuing the head slamming off the door a few more times, Jesse lifts Brendan up and places him on the door so he’s draped across the turnbuckle post. Slipping out on the apron; Jesse ducks under the door and climbs the turnbuckles to meet Brendan on the door. Pulling Brendan up to his feet, the door becomes unsteady with their combined weight. Jesse stops all his motion and the door sits still. Pulling Brendan in for a suplex, Jesse lifts him up and goes for the Jesterplex off the door!
Psycho KGB: “Jesse’s finishing move off the top rope!“
MUSHI: “BRENDAN COUNTERS!“
Brendan turns the suplex into a reverse slicebread cutter onto the steel steps in the ring! Jesse Jamester hits the steps hard on the top of his back before slumping over between the ‘V’ part of the steps on the canvas. Brendan musters up the strength to grab both legs and fold them down to the shoulders of the awkward laying Murder Lizard for the pin!

Referee signals for the bell and goes to Brendan who drops off the legs of Jesse Jamester, leaving him folded up like an accordion, while Brendan survives the evening and retains his championship.
Fumio Demura: “Winner by pinfall, and STILL INTERIM VISUAL KEI CHAMPION – Brendan Harding!”
MUSHI: “What a turn of events here as Brendan Harding pulls out the counter of the century to conquer the Murder Lizard!”
Psycho KGB: “Brendan is hardly able to stand as he receives the Interim Visual Kei championship from the referee. The ring looks like a war zone, weapons destroyed everywhere, glass and wood shattered across the canvas. Blood spots all over the place. This was a huge win for Brendan Harding—-WHAT!“
Turning around to pose with the belt for the crowd, Brendan is smeared by a championship to the face by Dylan Black! The reigning and real Visual Kei championship is held up high in the right hand of Dylan Black, as he stands over Brendan Harding and mouths something to him that isn’t picked up by the cameras.
MUSHI: “Dylan Black making it known who the real Visual Kei Champion is… love him or hate him, this was bound to happen at some point.”
Psycho KGB: “He didn’t even let Brendan have his flowers after a hellacious fight! These fans are letting Dylan know their disgust with his actions.”
Main Event:
King Of Hokkaido 2023 Tournament Finals
No DQ, No Holds Barred
No Time Limit
James Raymond Vs. El Combatiente
The camera pans around the Hokkaido Sports Center in Sapporo, Hokkaido Japan. An audience that has been on a rollercoaster ride for the evening as JROK Championships were defended, grudge matches have taken place, and the stars they loved and hated left it all in the squared circle. Even with twelve matches having taken place between the Under Pressure pre-show and the main card for the pay-per-view tonight, the audience was lively and excited. As they should be, since this would be the night they would get to see the culmination of a month-long tournament to crown the 2023 King of Hokkaido Tournament winner.
Fumio Demura: “The following match is scheduled for ONE FALL and is the FINALS of the King of Hokkaido 2023 Tournament! The rules for the 2023 King of Hokkaido finals will be as follows… There will be NO disqualification, NO holds barred, and NO time limit! A winner will be declared either by pinfall or submission, or due to the referee stopping the bout!”
Psycho KGB: “This month we have seen the total destruction of the bodies on the JROK roster. All sixteen people who entered the King of Hokkaido 2023 Tournament have gone through hell and back in various death matches over seven matches each. It took all that for these next two to make it to the King of Hokkaido Finals. Now they have one more match left to conquer before one of them can call themselves the 2023 KING of Hokkaido winner! “
MUSHI: “It’s truly a rare and near impossible feat to get this far, as only a few have done it over the years. Injuries alone can take you out before you can get to the end of the tournament. But tonight, as my partner said, we have the distinct pleasure of calling this finals match up to determine who will walk out the victor.“
The slow beginning to ‘Styles Clash’ plays through the P.A. System in the arena as the house lights flash down onto the stage once the beat kicks in and onto the entrance curtain as the crowd awaits the arrival of James Raymond and raining down the mixture of cheers and boos from every inch of the arena. The figure of James slowly passes through the curtain from Gorilla Position as he looks around the arena. The half-mask worn around his head doesn’t give James the advantage of expressing himself, but from the way he’s looking around the arena and soaking in the crowd’s negative reaction, his nods are in approval of how the crowd feels about him.
MUSHI: “Raymond is no stranger to the King of Hokkaido finals. Once upon a time James Raymond was in this very match against Brad Swann. On that day, it was not to be his destiny to find victory and be crowned a King of Hokkaido tournament winner. “
Psycho KGB: “I believe that loss in some part is fueling James this year. He wants to prove to himself he can climb that mountain, and since leaving UZUMAKI, we have seen his success skyrocket like no other here in JROK.”
James begins his walk to the ring, the spotlights following him down the ramp as he ignores those who reach out for him, even going as far as kicking the barricade that holds the fans back as he passes by. The Coventry native makes his way to ringside and walks around the ring until he’s leapt onto the ring apron where the hard cam faces, from there he begins to unwrap the mask from behind his head, pulling away at the final knot as the ring announcer begins his introduction.
Fumio Demura: “Introducing FIRST, hailing from Coventry City, England though residing in Shibuya City, Japan! Weighing in this evening at 187 pounds! He is ‘The Ruthless Star’, ‘THE BROKEN CROWN’ – JAMES RAYMOND!"
Upon hearing his name being announced, James pulls the mask away from his head and reveals the bottom half of facial features to the hard camera that points right down at him, finally getting a good look at his cocky grin rubbed all over his face before he passes through the ropes and enters the ring, looking around the arena with that same shit-eating smug look on his face as he slips free from his ring jacket and places it down in his corner, ready for the match to begin / ready for his opponent to enter the arena.
MUSHI: “He has come a long way in his time with JROK. James Raymond has improved in each bout he finishes, showing that he takes time to learn from each opponent and better himself for the next match ahead. It’s been an up and down road but Raymond has shown the perseverance that makes him a worthy challenger and future Visual Kei Champion of JROK in my eyes.“
Psycho KGB: “Could not agree with you more MUSHI. “
Fumio Demura: “Introducing his opponent, hailing from Los Angeles, California! Weighing in this evening at 219 pounds! A proud member of the BANG! Bros – EL COMBATIENTE!”
The opening of the Game’s “One Blood” hits the pa system and El Combatiente follows his manager Javier onto the stage. They look around, soaking up their surroundings until El Combatiente breaks into a full sprint for the ring and slides in. Javier slowly walks to ringside and takes his position at ringside as El Combatiente stretches in the ring.
Psycho KGB: “Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time to crown a King!“
Match
DING! Ding! Ding!
Circling the ring, El Combatiente and James Raymond feel one another out. No decision could be taken lightly here tonight, as one bad choice could be the one that costs them a win in tonight’s Tournament finals. El Combatiente comes at Raymond first and goes for a tie up, quickly moving to a wrist lock and then behind Raymond. James grabs the neck and snap mares EC over his shoulder as he drops to a knee. Raymond quickly goes for a rear chin lock but EC is too fast and rolls out of harms way. Shooting for a single leg takedown does EC, and Raymond is caught off guard by the unusual move from the aerial assault master. Once EC has James on the canvas and Raymond rolls to his stomach, EC jumps to his feet and hits a standing shooting star onto the back of Raymond. Standing up, EC poses for the audience and throws a ‘BANG!’ Finger gun up in the air for the old time fans who know of his work with El BANG! Hermanos and the BANG! Bros.
Psycho KGB: “As agile as a cat and quicker than a cheetah. El Combatiente has the ability to be a terrifying attacker that can spring into action at the drop of a hat.”
MUSHI: “Giving the fans a throwback of his former team alliance. I would be remiss if I didn’t bring up how the BANG! Bros are former XHF Call to Arms winners and how El Combatiente and Curtis Kanyon ruled the XHF Tag Team division for some time. A true pro of his craft stands opposite James Raymond tonight, and James should remember that as this proceeds.“
Raymond gets up and is met with a dropkick from El Combatiente that sends him to the ropes. El Combatiente comes hurling towards Raymond and is back dropped over the top rope, yet EC grabs the rope and saves himself by landing on the apron. A jumping right kick from EC hits James in the back of the head, followed by a knee to the gut through the ropes from EC. This causes Raymond to bend over towards the ropes as he grabs his midsection, and El Combatiente sails over the top rope to hit a sunset flip into a pin attempt!

Kick out!
El Combatiente shoulder rolls to the ropes and springs up to bounce off them. Sprinting back towards James Raymond, EC goes for a flying lariat but James has it scouted and catches him on his shoulders. James spins EC’s whole body around before dropping him with a cutter maneuver on the canvas! James goes for the cover.

Kick out!
MUSHI: “An exchange of pin attempts from both competitors ends with two near falls in the early setting of this bout. El Combatiente shows how effective his speed and air assault can be, linking moves together and wasting no movement as he glides through the ring.“
Psycho KGB: “Raymond though is keeping up with the luchador, giving us all some new moves to see here tonight. I haven’t yet seen him do that fireman’s carry into a cutter before. Very innovative and exactly what he needs to bring out here tonight to offset the high flying El Combatiente. “
MUSHI: “James is up and he lifts El Combatiente up in the corner. A stiff chop!“
Hand slapping chest as the chop ignites the audience! James Raymond showing a different side of himself, or maybe going for a more unpredictable move set to throw off El Combatiente. Raymond with an Irish whip, EC reverses, no Raymond reverses the reverse and brings EC back into his arms before sending him up and over his shoulder and dropping him face first on the top turnbuckle! James turns around immediately and hooks an arm under EC’s shoulder and around the neck, spinning EC around again so James’ back is to the corner. Raymond executes a release half-nelson suplex into the turnbuckles to El Combatiente! EC crumbles on the back of his shoulders and neck in the corner, to which James Raymond grabs him by the back of his legs at the thighs, popping his hips, Raymond heaves EC over his head with a German suplex with a bridging pin attempt!

Shoulder up!
Raymond rolls over to a knee, seeming to think what to do next as he watches El Combatiente roll onto his stomach and crawl slowly towards the bottom rope. James pops up on his heels and stalks EC to the ropes, waiting behind him as the masked aerial master pulls himself up. Snagging the shoulder, Raymond turns EC to face him — Enziguri by El Combatiente! James Raymond looks up with a dazed look in his eyes before face planting the canvas where he stands.
MUSHI: “That offensive streak wore El Combatiente down, but James made a fatal mistake in letting El Combatiente get a breather as he used the ropes to get back up. Never underestimate a veteran like El Combatiente. Everything he does has a purpose.”
Psycho KGB: “I think James felt over confident as he came up behind El Combatiente. You're right though MUSHi, James cannot play this one defensively. You see how quickly El Combatiente can turn this around if given the opportunity.”
El Combatiente steps through the ropes to the apron and heads to the top rope. Taking a bit longer than usual after the punishment he had received, El Combatiente ascends the turnbuckles and perches himself at the top. Both feet standing on the top ropes, he holds his hands high in the air before bringing them down to form a ‘picture box square’ that he directs to a rising Raymond. El Combatiente leaps high into air and twists his body as he approaches Raymond, hooking his neck with his calves and turning himself around James’ body. The move sends James Raymond flying across the ring and through the ropes to the floor on the outside.
Psycho KGB: “For a no disqualification and no holds barred match, this is the first we are seeing these two outside the ring. “
MUSHI: “True. It’s been a game of chess played by two wrestlers who prefer to let their ability in that ring do the talking. Now though, that could all go out the window as these two dig deep and find reasons to justify what they may do to the other; to secure a victory here at the 2023 King of Hokkaido tournament.“
El Combatiente finds himself in the ring as the referee checks on James Raymond on the outside. Once satisfied the match can continue, the referee gets up from the floor and is about to enter the ring when El Combatiente comes springing off the top rope like the luchador he is, sailing right over the referee in the process as he hits a twisting Phoenix splash onto the back of James Raymond! The referee is taken back by the incredible aerobatic display before he finally notices El Combatiente rolling over Raymond and going for a pin attempt. Dropping to the floor, the ref begins the count.

MUSHI: “Shoulder up!”
Grabbing his mask, El Combatiente can’t believe it and holds up three fingers to the referee, yelling “TRES! Tres! Que?” But the referee responds “No tres, dos! Dos!” Before slapping his right shoulder to indicate that James got his shoulder up in time. The head of El Combatiente looks up to the arena ceiling, spotlights shining down on him and James Raymond as they lay on the floor in front of the ramp leading up to the entrance stage. EC finally gets up and pulls James to his feet, shooting him into the barricade with a quick Irish whip that sends James up and over the barricade into the front row of the fans.
MUSHI: “These fans are getting more than they bargained for as James Raymond gets sent right into their laps.”
Psycho KGB: “This match is finally spilling out of the ring and taking full advantage of the No disqualification, no holds barred rules for tonight’s finale of the King of Hokkaido tournament. “
Running the barricade, El Combatiente stops right in front of James Raymond as he crawls on top of two chairs and stands up facing away from the ring. As James turns around El Combatiente springs off the barricade and forearm smashes Raymond in the face, sending both men crashing into more chairs as JROK security set a perimeter to keep the fans safe. El Combatiente grabs a chair and uses it like a crutch to hoist himself hp and then throws it at the back of James Raymond as he stands up again. Raymond stumbles through the crowd towards the back wall that separates the floor seats from the next crowd section. The concrete wall stands a solid 10 feet in the air with an opening that stretches into a hallway. A crane-like-dolly with a camera to the right of the hallway opening is sectioned off. El Combatiente Irish whips Raymond towards the guard rails blocking off the camera crane, but James stops himself and turns around to a running EC. Lifting EC up, he guillotines the challenger on the guard rail and falls to the floor beside El Combatiente.
Psycho KGB: “Raymond finding a needle in a haystack there to change the tide.”
MUSHI: “He is showing that never say die attitude that has brought him this far in the tournament.“
Raymond pulls EC up and drags him towards the right of the crane camera, then takes a sharp left up stairs that lead to the tops of the 10ft concrete wall. Fans are going ballistic as James exchanges punches with EC and the two teeter close to the edge of the wall.
Psycho KGB: “CALAMITY KICK!“
MUSHI: “Raymond has El Combatiente on the edge and he’s swaying in a bad way!“
Psycho KGB: “This isn’t going to end well… OH MY GAWD!“
Raymond goes for another Calamity Kick but it’s caught by El Combatiente who throws the foot down and grabs Raymond, SPANISH FLY OFF THE BALCONY INTO THE CROWD! Fans are going crazy as a group of them below the wall are struck by the two men as they fall into the mass crowd. Security begins pulling fans off the pile as they search for Raymond and El Combatiente, finally finding the two wrestlers laying on top of a couple fans.
MUSHI: “Lucky break for these two, that concrete has no give.“
Psycho KGB: “ It sure doesn’t MUSHI. That could have spelled the end of our King of Hokkaido finals match right there. What was El Combatiente thinking?“
After a few moments El Combatiente finds his footing and uses a security guards shoulder to stand up. He grabs James Raymond by the neck and heads down towards the ringside area, realizing the match could not conclude anywhere but in the ring. Tossing James over the barricade, El Combatiente climbs over and goes for the steel steps. Lifting the top part up, he stands it vertical. El Combatiente grabs James Raymond and slams his head off the side of the steel steps, before lifting him up on his shoulders and laying him on top of the vertical steel steps.
Psycho KGB: “What possibly could El Combatiente be thinking here?“
MUSHI: “Your guess is as good as mine. Here he goes, up the apron, up the turnbuckles. Perched on the top rope— no way is he going to do what I think he is?!”
El Combatiente raises his hands up in two guns and does a ‘BANG’ motion to honor his El BANG Hermanos tag team partner Curtis Kanyon before pointing the finger guns at James Raymond and leaping off the top rope!
Psycho KGB: “450 SPLASH! OOOOH!“
El Combatiente crashes hard on the top of the steel steps as Raymond rolls off them at the last possible moment.
MUSHI: “A crash landing for El Combatiente!“
Psycho KGB: “James saved himself from a sure fire loss tonight by dodging out of the way of that 450 splash. El Combatiente slumping over the side of the steel steps and landing on the floor, tells you exactly how he is feeling after failing to execute that aerial assault.“
Raymond lifts El Combatiente up and rolls him under the bottom rope. Climbing the apron, James steps through the ropes and picks up El Combatiente up by the neck. The luchador looked like a ragdoll as his arms hung limp. James Raymond shoves El Combatiente’s head between his thighs, motioning for a move that fans might have not seen before from the wrestler.
Psycho KGB: “Running powerbomb into the corner by James Raymond!”
MUSHI: “But he’s not done there. James hits the ropes as El Combatiente comes staggering out of the corner about to drop and NECESSARY EVIL! “
The Gowan lariat was a signature move of James Raymond’s and took the head of El Combatiente clear off — well, actually it caused EC to smack the canvas and snap his head back in the process. The vicious lariat known as Necessary Evil is followed up with a cover by James Raymond.
One!
Two!
Thre—-
Psycho KGB: “Shoulder up! How is this even possible?! El Combatiente has to be working off pure instinct at this point.”
James’s eyes show the tale of his journey back to the King of Hokkaido tournament finals. That loss to Brad Swann was still a driving force and this match was beginning to show the same signs for the desperate former World Champion as he pulls El Combatiente off the canvas and placed him in the corner. Hitting the ropes once, James goes the distance of the ring and hits the ropes again, now a third time and he aims towards El Combatiente as he leaves his feet for the Kishin Hunter knee finisher he has made famous!
Psycho KGB: “Nobody home! El Combatiente drops to a sitting position and James eats the turnbuckle with that knee attack, falling over the top rope and onto the apron as he grabs the ropes; doing his best to avoid falling all the way to the floor. “
MUSHI: “Had he hit that, there is no denying El Combatiente would be done. There was so much momentum though, that James literally threw himself at an empty turnbuckle and rolled over the top rope. I can only imagine what his knee is feeling like right now.”
El Combatiente hooks the neck of James Raymond as he stands on the apron. Suplex into the ring, but James slips over his shoulder and counters! James goes for a German suplex! EC serves him an Elbow to the face! Another elbow and EC gets behind James, hooking the arms and STREET JUSTICE!!!
One!
Two!
Three—
Rope break!
James has his hand on the bottom rope, to which his shoulder is also off the canvas to do so; but nonetheless the referee signals to El Combatiente it was only a two count and the luchador drops his masked face into his hands as the disappointment sets in. El Combatiente rolls to a knee and then stands up, grabbing James by the other arm and dragging him away from the ropes. Stepping on the apron, El Combatiente measures up James and then grabs the top rope with both hands. Springboarding up to top turnbuckle, back turned, El Combatiente moonsaults off the top and lands on the knees of James Raymond!
MUSHI: “Raymond using his instincts to keep himself in this one. Two knees to the gut of an unsuspecting El Combatiente.”
Psycho KGB: “El Combatiente rolls off James after impact and ends up nearly across the ring in the opposite corner. James is staggering to find his feet, that Street Justice took a lot out of him.”
El Combatiente clutching his abdomen looks up to see James walking towards him with a bit of hunched over upper body. The two men sporting their wounds from tonight’s war as this one continued. El Combatiente springboards off the ropes once more and looks for a lariat — KISHIN HUNTER!
Psycho KGB: “KISHIN HUNTER OUT OF NOWHERE!“
One!
Two!
Three—
MUSHI: “El Combatiente kicks out!”
Psycho KGB: “But how?”
MUSHI: “James Raymond is wondering the same thing, partner.”
Pulling himself up and El Combatiente with him, James Raymond grabs EC by the neck and puts it between his rib cage and arm, looking for his Shattered Crown, but El Combatiente reverses and it’s Street Justice again!? No! Triangle Lancer by James Raymond as a counter! James flips him over and the pressure is applied, El Combatiente squirming for the ropes but he’s center of the ring. The referee drops down to check and as he does the hand taps the canvas to signify El Combatiente giving up!
Fumio Demura: “Winner of the match by submission and 2023 KING OF HOKKAIDO — JAMES RAYMOND!”
Psycho KGB: “An incredible show of wits and determination by James Raymond and El Combatiente tonight! El Combatiente showed us all what makes him so great, but on this night, James Raymond found a way and secured himself the King of Hokkaido 2023 tournament winner! “
MUSHI: “That was a match for the ages Psycho, and one we will remember for a long time to come. Both men deserve their flowers after such a hard fought battle. “
Psycho KGB: “I agree fully. There may only be one winner, but both of these athletes gave us there all tonight. Just listen to these fans!“
