The scene opens in a dark room. A singular light hanging from the ceiling dimly illuminates the space. An unknown figure is seated at the head of an empty table. Shadows hide his face from the camera. He leans forward, shadows bathing his massive frame as he speaks for the first time.
Warrick: This is your notice.
He states calmly.
Warrick: This is your introduction to the beginning of your end. I hope you all enjoyed your time in the sun. The cheers of your many fans.
He says before pausing.
Warrick: Soak it in while you still can. Bask in their praise. Revel in these last few fleeting moments before it all comes to an end.
He speaks. His demeanor getting more and more serious as each word escapes his lips.
Warrick: Because on September 25th everything changes because on that day Warrick graces your ring for the very first time.
Reaching up he grabs the hanging lamp bringing it closer. Illuminating his face for the first Time.
Warrick: I will show you how long it takes for those very same cheers from your fans that once drove you to such great feats inside these arenas can be replaced by gasps of horror as they watch everything you all have ever worked so hard for be snuffed out beneath my boots and the empires you all have built will come crashing down around you like houses of cards in a hurricane. Your broken bodies will be piled high at the base of the ring and the referee will raise my hand in victory! On that night I walk into the arena and into the history books, because on that night I'm walking back out with the last entry into B.O.B.
Warrick says in an almost snarl as he releases the light and leans back into his chair. The light swings away bathing the newcomer in shadows once more.
Warrick: Let's face it you have all grown soft. Most of you are shells of the former greats that you once were. More interested in t shirt sales than actually winning titles. And as for the rest of you, none of you will ever end up being anything more than just another one of my steppingstones to greatness. Make no mistake. Unlike the rest of you I do not care about the cheers or jeers of the fans. I do not care about the fame or the fortune. I don't need my ego stroked by packed stadiums as I make my way to the ring. I am here for one thing and one thing only. I am here to win, and I have been brought to the WUK to do just that.
Warrick smirks as he hints at this somebody behind the scenes.
Warrick: Never let it be said that I am not a merciful man. It's not too late to back out. It's not too late to go pack up your bags and go home. To live to fight another day. Oron the flipside if you do choose to step into the ring with yours truly you have eight days to get your affairs in order. Kiss your wife, tell your children you love them, up your life insurance policies. Hell, maybe even start looking into one of those wheelchair basketball leagues.
Warrick stands up showing just how truly massive this man is for the first time. Pushing the chair aside he walks slowly to the door. He pauses just before exiting.
Warrick: So, there you have it. My introduction and your death sentence.
Warrick exits the room and the door slams shut behind him leaving the WUK world to wonder if what they have heard here today is nothing more than an empty threat or if maybe there is more to this newcomer.
