We're at a point where I would love to get another admin on board so we could go for the full sixteen members but with just Teeps and I on match-writing, it's a stretch without having to become an AAA-style trios-heavy company and that was never the aim of Tap Out.
With that being said, we might come to you to see if you can write a match and I've put together a guide so that if you do help us out, you've got everything you need in one place to get it together.
ENTRANCES
Don't worry about these, I keep a fairly up-to-date thread in our Admin board. If you do want to take them on, we do them slightly differently, like so:
Laura Messier: Announces the match
(OPTIONAL:) Crowd: ONE FALL!!!!!!
CODE FOR ENTRANCE VIDEO
Whatever opponent 1's first part of entrance is....
Steve Morrison: Build up 1
Cross Recoba: Build up 1b
Whatever opponent 1's second part of entrance is....
Steve Morrison: Build up 2
Cross Recoba: Build up 2b
Whatever opponent 1's third part of entrance is....
Steve Morrison: Build up 3
Cross Recoba: Build up 3b
Repeat for all participants
Laura Messier: Tale of the tape for first opponent.
First wrestler reaction.
Rinse and Repeat.
MATCH
COMMENTARY
Steve Morrison
Bio: Will commentate the match straight rather than favouring anyone. Has a background in commentary on MMA and collegiate wrestling so does genuinely know his shit.
How to write him: Calls matches, sets up Cross to get the 'wrestler take' on strategy or why people do moves how they do (Tommy always steps back with his sleeper as Suzuki does it and the theory is that it forces the victim to carry more weight). He'll be the one to say the actual move names (SAWYERSAULT!!!). Treat him as the voice of the fan, albeit one who knows his stuff.
Cross Recoba
How to write him: Might favor the heel or at least rationalize the cheating. His job is to get over the fight like Morrison but to give the fans insight they don't know (see above example) such as what the wrestler might be thinking or why they take one decision over the other.
FORMAT
Steve Morrison: Commentary is always joined
Cross Recoba: Together
Crowd: But the crowd isn't.
So action can go between commentary sections and crowd sections.
Laura Messier: Laura's only needed at the end of the match as I'll do the entrances but in the Code below are the color codes for this section.
