Andrej sighs, packing his bag from the locker at the Diamond Training Facility. He had his special weight bar leaning against the wall, a gift from the worker he’d kept in contact with. The news that the place was closing on top of his father being sick... He knew that Jack was as good as his word, but he had to go back. He had to make sure his family was okay, at least for a while.
You are so very strong. But not in the way most would think.
Andrej whipped around at the unfamiliar voice, remembering stories of a stalker in the halls—a monster from Jack’s world. But he saw nothing—nothing other than a tarot card. It was Strength, the exact same one he’d found in his hotel room.
Show them. One more time. Show them strength in your way, as I try to show them love in mine.
With that, Andrej felt whatever presence was there vanish, leaving him to walk over and pick up the card. He exhaled, nodding to himself. He’d been trying to decide if he wanted to head back right away or be in the battle royale but, truth be told…
How could I miss a fight like that?
The happy grin slowly came back to Andrej’s face as he tucked the card away, his resolve once more firm. He’d show them all his strength—not just the strength of his body but of his heart, mind, and soul. He slings his pack over his shoulder, picking up the weight bar as he heads back to his hotel room, humming his theme song as he goes.

Hello, all of my friends! Yes, even the ones I never fought or met. It is good to speak to you all.
Andrej smiles softly into the camera, the little pup asleep next to him as one massive hand pets it.
I hope that all of you understand how important this fight is. Not only a chance to be a champion, but a chance to come back and fight for the X-Crown as well!
Andrej laughs happily, thinking about the fights that had been fought over that belt—the most prestigious prize in the whole of the XHF.
You all have your reasons to fight and to win. I know that most of you just want to have that chance but... I think I have something a little more important to fight for.
He holds one finger on his free hand up, winking as he does so.
Can you imagine the look on my mother’s face when I come back with the belt? When I show her that her son went out and did what he said he would? Can you imagine the pride that my father, weakened as he is, would have in his eyes to see me hang that belt above the mandle in the place of honor?
Andrej lowers his hand, laughing happily again, which gets a little whine from the pup. He gets quieter instantly as he looks down at the puppy, waiting for it to fall back asleep before continuing.
Do any of you have such motivation? Do any of you have something like that to keep them going? When you are hanging from the ropes, what do you have to do to push yourself back into the ring? I will not bother talking down to any of you for being small or anything; any of you could work together to take me down or even just get lucky. Some of you are as big as I am, so you could get rid of me. But I promise you...
Andrej looks into the camera with a growl, his eyes burning with a new fire to win. There is now not only a love of fighting and combat but also a need to win.
I will take the belt back to my country. I will see the pride in my family’s eyes. None of you can stop me, and I will do whatever is in my power to break every single one that stands in my way. By the Raven and on my soul, it will be so.
Without breaking eye contact, Andrej makes the sign of the Raven as the camera fades, the fire in his eyes being the last thing visible.
