Wesley Crane’s plum purple Hummer Stretch Limo pulls up out front of the Turning Stone Casino and Resort. Standing outside is Warren Webber III, bundled up. He has a microphone in hand and a cameraman close by. It’s a brisk winter evening. The temperature is a bitter 17 degrees Fahrenheit, the real way to tell the temperature, and dropping as the moments pass by. As soon as Wesley’s face hit the fresh air he could see his breath. He blows into his hands, trying to keep warm. He notices Warren Webber III standing there. Wesley groans under his breath. From behind Wesley, his personal assistant, Henderson, steps out of the limousine as well. Henderson, not having a lot of “meat on his bones” is immediately shivering. Wesley looks back at Henderson.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “What’s HE doing here?”
Henderson: “I have no idea. We don’t have any interviews planned.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Get him out of here.”
Henderson: “You got it boss.”
Wesley and Henderson start walking toward the casino. Wesley gets to the door first and grabs the door to open it. Warren Webber III steps in and places the microphone in Wesley’s face.
Warren Webber III: “Mr. Crane, I was hoping to get a few words with you before you make the trip overseas for the Showdown in Saskatoon.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Henderson, take care of this.”
Henderson steps forward.
Henderson: “We have no interviews planned for today. Mr. Crane will answer any questions at the press release the day before the event.”
Wesley Crane starts to walk in the casino. Warren Webber III, refusing to give up, yells out to the former champion.
Warren Webber III: “Mr. Crane, we’ve seemed frustrated in WUK lately. Is this because of Kasper Van Zant or Lord Dominicus?”
Wesley stops walking and angrily turns around to address Warren Webber III.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Alright, we’re going to go THIS route, huh?”
Warren looks a little concerned.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “First things first, Lord Dominicus is a punk. He came in here and wanted to “take over”... he cheated in his match against me and then “poof” (Wesley makes an exploding motion with his hands) he disappeared like he’s so good at. How many times have we seen him show up and then vanish as quickly as he showed up? The fact is, I’m done with Lord Dominicus. He can show back up and try to take over the WUK but I will not be the savior of a company that does not give a shit about The High Rollers Club.”
Warren Webber III: “How does WUK not care for the High Rollers Club?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Ya know what, forget it. When I’m ready to put out an official statement, I’ll give the interview to Katie. Now excuse me, I need to get inside.”
Warren Webber III: “Can you give me a quick statement about your loss to Kasper?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “You want a statement about Kasper? Fuck Kasper! And then FUCK KASPER!”
Warren Webber III: “Classy.”
Henderson: “To be fair, he kinda warned you. He’s in rare form.”
Warren Webber III: “It’s been said that you’re bitter over the fact that Kasper got the WUK World Championship Match. How true is that?”
Henderson: “No more questions.”
Warren Webber III: “What about your opponents for the Two Kingdoms Battle Royal? What’s your thoughts on that? There’s going to be a lot of new blood in this match. How prepared are you for some of these wrestlers?”
At this point, Wesley Crane is annoyed. He takes a deep breath in and slowly exhales.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Alright, I guess we’re going to do this. Alright, give me the list of wrestlers in this match and I’ll add my “two cents” when you name someone worth my time.”
Warren Webber III: “Well, there’s Florida Man.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “That’s a Wesley Rage and Nicholas Cage question. I do not care about Florida Man, nor will I.”
Warren Webber III: “There’s quite a few guys from JROK. How do you think you’ll hold up against some of them?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “I could care less about them. They’re not worthy of being inside a wrestling ring with me. They’re in for a shock when they get their asses handed to them by The High Roller Wesley Crane. When you think about JROK and WUK, they’re not that different. One is a company with wrestlers that don’t deserve to be in the ring with Wesley Crane. The other company is filled with wrestlers THAT DON’T DESERVE TO BE IN THE RING WITH WESLEY CRANE!”
Warren Webber III: “I think I know the answer to this, but what’s your thoughts on the wrestlers in the match from WUK?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Look, I talked with Wesley Rage and we agree that there are “wrestlers” on the card that we’ve never even heard of.”
Warren Webber III rolls his eyes.
Warren Webber III: “Alright, what about the Two Kingdoms Champion, Dar Price?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “They’re the only person I’m thinking about. The “Champion” has a bullseye on his chest and I’m the one with the crossbow. It’s time to put this “champion” out to pasture and it’s time for the Two Kingdoms Championship to have an actual worthy champion… and that champion is “The High Roller” Wesley Crane. Now excuse me, I’ve got important matters to attend to.”
Wesley pushes through the doors and enters the casino. Before the doors close, he turns and looks at Henderson.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Call Nicholas Cage and get him to my suite. Tell him to bring some of that Cheech and Chong Drooler.”
Henderson: “You got it, boss.”
Henderson nods to Warren Webber III.
Henderson: “Have a good night.”
Henderson pulls out his phone and taps the screen a couple of times, calling Nicholas Cage as the scene ends.
