The scene opens up to the SSE Arena in Belfast, Ireland. There are no fans in the arena. No time keeper. No ring announcer. Standing outside the ring is the “muscle” of The High Rollers Club, SZK and Warrick. Inside the ring stands the Two Kingdoms Champion, “The High Roller” Wesley Crane. He’s dressed in one of his custom $10,000 plum purple Armani suits with a black buttoned down shirt under the suit jacket. He has the Two Kingdoms Championship wrapped around his waist. He paces back and forth inside the ring, looking rather serious. He stops pacing for a moment and begins speaking.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Three stages of hell. Three matches. One night.”
Wesley begins pacing back and forth again.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “The first stage of hell is a regular match. Standard rules apply and I don’t see how you stand a chance of surviving that style of match, Eliza. You want the world to view you as a viable threat, but let’s be honest… until recently, you were on the verge of giving up on your dream after a few false starts. Hey, don’t get mad at me for speaking the truth. Fact is, while you were doubting yourself and ready to give up, I was winning Championships all over the world. You see, Eliza, I’m in my prime. I’m at the top of my game and I plan on staying here for a long time.”
Wesley stops pacing and looks down at the wrestling mat.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “The second stage is a street fight. Here’s a little bit of information for you; Wesley Crane has never lost a street fight. Never! When it comes to getting extreme inside this squared circle, I am the absolute best. I’ve battled inside some of the most extreme matches and I have not lost. I’ve defeated some of the best. I have battled the likes of The Sheik. Some would call him the most extreme wrestler we’ve ever seen, but even he was no contest for The High Roller. Battle of Britain Aztec Warfare Matches, won by me. Helloween Battle Royal, Terror Dome, Elimination Chamber, all won! And I’ll do it again this year! The fact is, Eliza you’re just not in my league… and you never will be.”
Wesley takes a deep breath and slowly exhales.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “The third stage is a steel cage match where we’re only able to win by escaping the cage. No pin falls. No submissions… so when I lock in the Dragon Sleeper, you’re fucked. No rope breaks to save me from snapping your scrawny little neck… and trust me, after the street fight, I’m going to make sure I wreck your knee so much that you’re unable to climb over that steel cage. It’s impossible to climb over a cage like that with one leg… facts!”
Wesley leans into the corner.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “The truth of the matter is this, until I tossed you over the barbed wire ropes in the Two Kingdoms Barbed Wire Battle Royal, I didn’t even know who you were. It’s simple… Like I stated before, you’re just not on the same level as Wesley Crane… and I understand starting out and trying to make a name for yourself, but go find someone else because trying to make a name against someone like Wesley Crane is committing career suicide.”
Wesley looks down at his Two Kingdoms Championship, which he calls “Candi” and smiles.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “So I have done what I’ve needed to do to get ready for this match. I watched videos of you fighting others and I need to admit, you’re fucking awful.”
Wesley laughs at his comment. He quickly goes back to being serious.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “I have studied your move set, and I need to tell you, what you’ve got to offer inside this ring just isn’t enough to defeat someone with such an impressive move set as The High Roller Wesley Crane. You come at me with the “Incoming”, the Shooting Star Cannonball, and I’m knocking you out with an IN THE FACE V-Trigger or a HRKO and I’m winning. Come at me when I’m outside and go for the “OH-ME-GEE!” and your face is being met with an European Uppercut that’ll just about snap your neck… and your god awful finishers…The “GDI” may look cool, but when you go for that move, I’m gonna knock you on your ass and then hit the most devastating elbow drop the world’s ever seen… and the “OMFN”... a Sling Blade… as a finisher? Get the fuck out of here with that nonsense.”
Wesley paces again.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “And yet, after the Three Stages of Hell Match, you’re still going to be a pain in my ass because you somehow managed to get yourself in the Elimination Chamber with some of the best in WUK… Some. Of. The. Best! Eliza, you’re not in that category… so I guess that makes you an easy target because trust me Eliza, I’m going to take years off of your life and that’s a guarantee. I’m going to shatter your dreams of becoming the Two Kingdoms Champion and I’m going to shatter your dreams of winning the WUK World Championship.”
Suddenly, Wesley’s cell phone rings. He looks down and it’s Katie Moss. He taps the screen to answer the phone.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Hello?”
Katie Moss: “Hey babe, how are you doing?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “I’m good, just preparing for my match against Eliza Dresden.”
Katie Moss: “I’m sure you’ll be ready.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “So what do you want? You calling to apologize for handcuffing me to the bed on Valentine’s Day and then leaving me alone while you went galavanting with Jessie?”
Katie Moss: “Oh come on, Wesley, we were just having a little fun with you.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “A little fun with me? I was stuck there for a couple of hours.”
You can hear Katie giggling on the phone.
Katie Moss: “Okay, I apologize, but you have to admit, it was pretty funny.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “You want to meet up with me at my presidential suite tonight for some “you and me” time?”
Katie Moss: “No Jessie, right?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “No call girls. Just you and me.”
Katie Moss: “Sure, I’ll meet you there in a little while.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Alright, great. Let me finish up what I’m doing and then I’ll get a hold of you.”
Katie Moss: “Sounds good. Byeee!”
Wesley taps his screen a couple of times and ends the call. He paces back and forth again.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Warrick, SZK… Do you guys think I’m going to destroy Eliza?”
Warrick clears his throat and then starts speaking to his boss.
Warrick: “Yes sir, I do.”
Wesley’s phone rings again. He looks down and sees that it’s his mentor, Timmy Draven calling him. He begins speaking to himself.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Son of a bitc-”
He taps the screen to answer it.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Timmy! Listen, I don’t have much time, I’m trying to cut a promo against Eliza.”
Timmy Draven: “That’s fine. I wanted to quickly talk to you about this match. Look, Eli is no joke. She doesn’t just wrestle people, she straight up goes for the jugular and tries to destroy them. I’m not being judgemental or anything, but she’s a little unhinged if you ask me.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Good. Unhinged people don’t think clearly. They think with their rage… and when they do that, they make mistakes… and all it takes is one mistake from her and I’m knocking her lights out, FACTS!”
Timmy Draven: “Listen, you’re creating a legacy for yourself. You’re doing impressive things in the wrestling business… but what kind of legacy do you want? One that’s respected and valued or one that only looks good in the history books? Truth is, I did a lot of damage to my legacy when I was a wealthy businessman. When I went by Timothy Draven. I was not a good man, Wesley… and I regret that. I don’t want to see you regret that either.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Look, I respect you, Timmy, but you need to trust me on this one and let me handle it the way I know how to. I haven’t gotten this far in my career without destroying some dreams… without crushing other people’s legacies. Timmy, rest assured, I’ve got this. I’m going to shut Eliza up in the Three Stages of Hell match and then I’m going to the Elimination Chamber and I’m taking back what is rightfully mine.”
Wesley finishes up his conversation with Timmy, hangs up and then exits the ring as the scene ends.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Three stages of hell. Three matches. One night.”
Wesley begins pacing back and forth again.
