A cold and lonely cemetery is where we find Esmeralda von Krauss. She’s dressed in a slinky black dress and a wide-brimmed black hat. A trail of smoke is behind her as she smokes an Egyptian cigarette from a foot-long black cigarette holder.
Esmeralda von Krauss - It’s been some time since I’ve actually set foot in the ring. I think I faced you in the ring, Steve. I don’t remember the details of the match or if I won or lost that particular match. I mean, it doesn’t really matter. We both lost in the end since I never received what I wanted from you.
Her free hand absently brushes across her belly below the belly button. Her expression becomes sorrowful for a moment before going back to ice.
Esmeralda von Krauss - Can you even imagine what a child we would have had? Your handsome looks and my power unrestricted by the Kharnival? He or she could have ruled the world, but you were not on board. You were not even attracted to me. There have been very few people in this world who have been able to do that. You were one of them. This made you even more valuable to me.
She continues walking through the cemetery, flicking her ashes into the win and avoiding walking where bodies are actually buried. She stops before the final resting place of Steve Awesome. It’s a fresh burial so the ground has not yet regrown its greenery yet. The headstone is nearly hidden by the many flowers, wreaths, and tokens left by friends, family, and fans. Esmeralda stands there, trying to maintain her icy composure, but it begins to crack.
Esmeralda von Krauss - I face a man in the ring in a remembrance show that honors you and several others who had fallen recently. His name is Joe Nobody and we fight in some strange match called “Dump or Be Dumped”. It’s some match with no rules except for that the winner oif a fall takes a shot from one of the four barrels of booze at the corners and the first to five falls wins or I could simply dump him into one of the barrels.
I don’t understand the concept myself, but I do understand being dumped. I know, Steve, you didn’t really dump me since we were never together, but it felt like being dumped. It was a strange feeling since no one had ever dumped me before. Well, there was a Senator…
Her hand goes to her belly once again below the belly button that can be seen on this tight dress and her hooha.
Esmeralda von Krauss - So, I’m going to honor the time that we did not spend together, Steve, by destroying this Joe Nobody. I don’t know if I’m going to score five falls on him, but I will certainly dump him into one of the barrels after I have taken him apart a piece at a time. He will know the pain I feel now, Steve. There’s no chance for us to recuperate a possible relationship since you have passed on. There’s nothing to fix. Nothing to grow. A child who could have gone on the rule this world…no more. I cannot take my anger out on you, Steve. You were too precious to me. I will take things out on Joe Nobody.
Do you hear me, Joe? I am going to brutalize you in the ring. I’m going to beat you down from pillar to post and when it comes time to dunk you into one of the barrels? I may consider holding you down until the bubbles stop so that you can pass on my love to Steve Awesome. You could be my messenger into the afterlife since I cannot go.
Esmeralda sighs as she takes one final drag from her Egyptian cigarette. She plucks it from the holder and flicks the butt away. She places the foot long holder back into her clutch.
Esmeralda von Krauss - I think it’s high time that I face the facts. I will never have a child. Senator Philocrates Lunianus saw to that in assassinating the child within me.
Esmeralda reaches to the back of her neck where the dress is tied and unties it with a flick of her wrist. The dress falls to the Earth where it reveals all of Esmeralda in her stunning form. Her only clothing is a holster on her right thigh where she has her upholstery needles. Her hand goes to a spot under her belly button where a long scar exists on the otherwise flawless form. This is where Senator Philocrates Lunianus ran her through with a sword, striking a mortal blow on mother and baby both. Esmeralda was rescued by a friendly witch, but the scar tissue deep within her prevents her from ever having a child again. Esmeralda has not been able to deal with this, but now holds the scar as tears roll down her cheeks.
Esmeralda von Krauss - I know that we would have never have produced a baby. I know it. I was fooled by my own ego and dreams of having a child. A baby of my own to hold in my arms. Could I have helped that you were so handsome that I thought it didn’t matter that the Senator had wounded me so?
She falls to her knees and sits back on her legs as she shudders from the first sob that she’s uttered in eons.
Esmeralda von Krauss - I hate you, Steve. I hate you for turning me down. I hate you for leaving me. I hate you for…I miss you so. Come back to me…please?
The scene fades to black as Esmeralda lays her nude form onto the grave.
