Warren Webber the Third adjusted his tie as he looked around the hallway, and then he shrugged. Knocking on the door before him, and it popped open to allow Takaru Matsui to step into the hall. He stared at Webber with a faint look of amusement, flicking his long black hair back from his face before he folded his arms before him. A hand on his chin, and Webber nodded.
‘Takaru, you have a shot at the WUK World Title in Melbourne! What are your thoughts heading into this match?’
Matsui laughed, shaking his head before he flashed a grin.
‘That our champion is weak. She is distracted, she barely escaped the Elimination Chamber with her reign intact! I saw the fear in her eyes inside the Chamber, I saw the fear in her when she was left standing across from Crane! But she walks around here like she is some great unbeatable warrior.’
A shake of his head, and he laughed before his eyes narrowed. He leaned closer to the camera, and then looked at Webber.
‘But we all saw you beaten didn’t we? I left you laying in the ring ‘
Webber nodded, and he frowned slightly. Matsui scowled as he stared at him, and then Webber shrugged before he lifted the mic.
‘Some would say you pulled a fast one and hit Kasper with the Poison Mist because you were losing. How would you respond to that.’
Matsui snorted, looking away before he rolled his shoulders. He leaned against the wall, head tilting before he smiled.
‘No English.’
Webber blinked, and looked confused before he lifted the mic.
‘Kasper Van Zant is on a run, coming out of a match filled with a number of champions from across the XHF, defeating two of the most dominant WUK Champions in memory in Eron Hunter and Wesley Crane! And you think you have her number?’
Matsui sneered, and he kicked off the wall to stare down at Webber. The smile on his face was cold, his eyes narrowed before he shook his head before he lifted his hand to jerk the mic closer to him.
‘Kasper may have defeated the greatest number of Champions in the Chamber! She may have beat Kalmin Watts, she may have beaten Florida Man! And she may have beaten Dominicus, Hunter, and Crane! But you know who she hasn’t defeated, Webber?’
Webber blinked.
‘Who?’
Matsui smirked, and leaned closer.
‘The Red Slayer. The King of Kyoto. Takaru Matsui. And Kasper knows that.’
Webber nodded, still looking confused. Matsui frowned at him ever so slightly, and he drew back as his arms folded over his chest.
‘I am not sure, I understand.’
‘Of course, you don’t. But Kasper does, she is so very confident isn’t she our champion! She loves to talk about how dominant she is, how she has done what no other woman in WUK has done, and she brags and brags.
But I know the truth.
Kasper is afraid, she worries that she is not as great as she thinks she is. She clings to that title for meaning, to preserve her beliefs of her own greatness. And that is why she will fail! I do not need to beat Kasper!
Kasper needs to beat me! And so I will use that desperation, that weakness to take what should be mine away from her!’
Webber nodded, and he adjusted his bow tie before he spoke again.
‘Kasper–’
‘Can not beat me! I am a better wrestler than her, I am better fighter than her, and when she thinks she will win?
KINSHASA!
And then I will become WUK World Heavyweight Champion! At Melbourne, we will have a new Champion! And that Champion will be mine.’
Webber started to speak, and Matsui waved a hand as he leaned closer to the camera. He flashed that evil grin, and winked before he spoke.
‘Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win.’
A shrug, and he leaned back with a flick of his dark hair.
‘You are already defeated, Kasper. We both know that.’
Webber started to speak, and Matsui disappeared back through the door. He slammed it shut in his face, and Webber stammered before he turned to look at the camera with a helpless shrug.
