Wrestler's Outlook: Gavin Drake views himself as unappreciated and disrespected, he feels he has been cast off and forgotten by those he gave everything for. Now he is bitter and entitled, and shows no mercy to anyone who gets in his way. His current goal is simple destruction and chaos.
Background: Born to a bastard line of nobility descending from the Stuarts that has long since fallen out of wealth and status, Gavin Drake was stil raised to believe himself superior. Despite it all, his family maintains their pride and accepts nothing but the best. Drake soon left the family estate, and found himself in the military where he did several tours of duty. Upon his return to the United Kingdom, he found himself doing work that was borderline legal at best. He drifted into bare knuckle fighting, and some underground fightclubs.
And it was at this time, he was taken in by Donzig. He was trained to wrestle and fight under Donzig's merciless tutelage, eventually becoming a member of the group known as the Affliction. At the side of his brethren under Donzig's leadership he traveled the world winning titles, and fighting the best. Until the Affliction slowly came apart at the seams, and Drake found himself at odds with his mentor. He also fought several battles with his former partner, Brian Shelby. After the AWA closed down in Albany, and Donzig disappeared for a time he returned to Britain.
But he found his old demons waiting for him, and slowly sank into despair. He started to drink heavily, wallowing in self-pity and excess until he finally quit wrestling again. As fate would have it, he was found by Donzig who had been hoping to use his former student in one of his schemes. Drake was found lacking in the eyes of the Scourge, and was left to his own devices with a Fireside contract and Donzig's contempt ringing in his ears.
It was then that Gavin Drake decided he would redeem himself, and made his way back to wrestling. However, after a string of defeats and being mocked by his opponents Drake turned his back on them. He began to drink once more, and before long he rejoined the ranks of Donzig-gun. He is known as the Left Hand of the Scourge, or more simply:
The Empty Hand.
Together with Luthor Carbrey (JROK) he formed the tag team called the Chosen.
In time, Drake began to resent his treatment from Donzig and the entire XHF. This came to a head when Donzig was displaced as leader of Donzig-gun when those who rejected the current regime turned to Sinclair Godfrey and not him. Once the false leader was removed by the machinations of the Baroness. She assumed control of the order, and rejected any attempts by Drake to assert his authority.
This sent Drake over the edge, and was made worse when the Scourge returned to reject him.
Drake soon fell under the sway of Donzig's archenemy Spike Kane, and became a cornerstone of the Empire. He has since dedicated himself and the Empire to ridding the XHF of the disease that is Donzig.

Entrance Description: The fans jeer, as the the lights go down, and then a dim white back light starts. The shadowy figure of Drake steps out, followed by the silent Sinclair Godfrey. The pair glance at each other, nodding before they start down the ramp. Drake nods to himself, staring at the crowd before he throws a fist in the air. He rolls inside the ring before he leans across the ropes screaming at the crowd before he turns away. Sinclair folds her arms, eyes narrowing as she watches with an impassive smirk.
