The offer

(The Dark Stars and Dark Novas just pulled up the same pub they were at during the St. Patrick's Day Massacre hype tour.  They get off their motorcycles and enter the pub and look  around and see two men sitting at a table waiting for them.  They sit down opposite them and despite the tension they remain calm and all business.)

Commandrix:  "You asked us to come."

Mr. Essington:  "Yes I want to discuss business with you."

Commandrix:  "Why should we if you never mention your name."

Mr. Essington:  I do apologize for my ignorance.  I am Mr. Essington and I run the action in this pub."

Commandrix:  "So what do we have to do with your action as you so truly mention."

Mr. Essington:  "Well I want to make you an offer that you shall find interesting."

(The Dark Stars and Dark Novas look at each other and back at Essington.)

Commandrix:  "So what are you offering."

Mr. Essington:  "I want you to do me a favor and in return I'll do you one."

Niko:  "What do you mean...."

(Commandrix holds a hand up.)

Commanxdrix:  "What is this favor you want us to do."

Mr. Essington:  "There's this wrestler named Florida Man, who was going around and making bets at my gambling venues and he's been using these...."

(He produces a bunch of food stamps.)

Commandrix:  "He calls these food stamps."

Mr. Essington:  "What are food stamps."

Commandrix:  "It's what some individuals use to buy food to eat."

(Mr. Essington looks steamed.)

Kono:  "If you want us to collect his debt for you.  We don't do that for anyone and if you want us to tell him to repay you."

Commandxrix:  "What if we offer you to repay what he owes if that's what you want us to do."

(Mr. Essington thinks it over and after a few moments he nods impressed by the offer.)

Mr. Essington:  "Well not truly but you make your offer sound tempting Commandrix.  Tell you what Commandrix I accept the offer you just put forward."

Kono:  "The offer to collect his debt would have been more appealing than this."

(Commandrix puts her hand up again.)

Commandrix:  "Your offer is accepted and you shall have the money by tomorrow night."

Mr. Essington:  "Sounds good.  I already made sure that Florida Man is banned from any of my establishments."

Commandrix:  "So our business is done."

Mr.  Essington:  "Yeah for now.  When we need favors from each other we'll let each other know.  So let's talk about your upcoming match against these Gluck Brothers."

Niko:  "That's The Brothers Gluck Chaps and Carlton Gluck."

Mr. Essington:  "Okay Brothers Gluck.  Your matches have been quite entertaining even if you lost."

Kono:  "If putting us down is what you wanted us to come here."

Mr. Essington:  "No way would I do that.  I like and respect you for your work ethic and your toughness in the ring and I made money either way."

Niko:  "So if we lost you won and if we won you also won."

Kono:  "You mean you play both sides and win."

(He shrugs.)

Mr. Essington:  "Yeah either way I win and I have this for you too."

(He takes out an envelope and slides it over to Commandxrix.)

Mr. Essington:  "That's your share of the money and there's even more whether you defeat these Glucks or not."

Commandrix:  "What is this."

Mr. Essington:  "Like I said your share of the money."

Commandrix:  "We won't fall to The Brothers Gluck just for you."

Mr. Essington:  "Look I said win or lose doesn't matter.  I like your style and I think we can have a great business relationship.  So why don't we have something to eat to celebrate this arrangement."

Commandrix:  "Sounds reasonable.  Be assured we shall show The Brothers Gluck what we can do."

(The waiter comes up and takes their order as the scene slowly fades to black.)
