Defang PT II (KVZ v. Matsui rp 2)

[Kasper Van Slam]

The scene opens up in a dark room, a single hour glass with the name ‘MATSUI’ labeled across it. Suddenly a figure steps out of the darkness and a large double sided ax comes smashing through the hourglass and the table it sat on sinking into the floor underneath. Kasper Van Zant let go of the handle and stood upright towering menacingly over the camera, the WUK belt around her waist.

Kasper: ”Time isn't merely fleeting Takaru Matsui, the time is up and it isn't time up for me but for you. In Melbourne we put up or we shut up and Matsui I don't think you have what it takes to put up…and at one point I almost believed your ramblings, almost, until two voices of opposite resolution came to speak with me; one of damnation and the other of life. One said I was soft and I was standing in my own way, it put me in my place and shattered the hold you…again…almost had on me; Fear you? A cowardly little snake with his mist couldn't put away such a WEAK WOMAN a weak champion…yet here I am giving you a real chance, I gave you this Matsui do you understand? I didn't run..I'm not avoiding you but instead, if I am being quite honest, sinking to a pretty low place compared to the pool I waded through to get here!”

Kasper paused, she linked her hands together in front of her.

Kasper: ”Count your blessings Matsui, look your cursed gift in the mouth because it's going to get your head kicked off your shoulders….”

...a time in between…

The call of crickets echoed and disrupted the silence within the woods, the flow of darkness under the stars. Bare feet waded into shallow waters, Kasper held in one hand a hunting knife and in the other burning sage. She remembered her Mother showing her a little about Louisiana voodoo, witchcraft to the mundane she'd say, but it never really stuck because she said people didn't understand. Mother always said to use the art of darkness in the presence of light, the feeling had not stirred in Kasper since she was little but since Donzigs visit…

…Kasper dropped to her knees in the water. Raising the blade she looked towards the moon.

Kasper: ”Father, he of damnation, give me strength to stand before my enemies and cause them harm…”

Placing the sage between her pinky and ring finger, Kasper took the blade of the knife and cut across her palm, then she let it fall away into the water.

Kasper: ”Mother, she of life, in your presence shall I stand against the pain inflicted by others and may my truth always prevail…”

With the burning sage Kasper rolled and swayed the sage around her body before sticking the red embers on the cut across her palm. The water began to glow and in that aura, cast across the wide eyed gaze of Kaspers eyes, was the scene of Kasper standing alone. Then she produced a skull mask of which she placed on her head. It lit up in flames. As the vision pans more people were revealed, person after person after person did the same. An army of skull masked people stood defiantly with her…and they chanted to her, her true names…

…And the vision was gone. Kasper rose and stumbled out of the shallow water collapsing on the river bank, when she looked up two hands were reaching for her offering their hands.

’Ageless Stranger…,' whispered the male voice, his voice was raspy and hollow but invoking. It was the hand she chose.

Kasper stood, reflecting upon the ax that had destroyed the hourglass when her eyes cut up.

Kasper: ”The Second stranger, was boastful and uplifting. She bridged the chaos of my self doubt to the plane of my inner strength. My womanly divinity and Matsui I hope you bring more than cowardice and mist because unlike you I have raw…*Kasper began to flex*...untapped power! But I'm tapping it Matsui JUST FOR YOU! I'm not scum like you Matsui, I won't lower myself to your standards NOT as the Champion but that doesn't stop us from showing up in Melbourne and beating the total shit out of each other! Because that's what I can do…I can power through you Matsui! I am going to force feed this foot to you! Fuse into your jaw! I am the Champion and I am going to make you pay…”
