The scene opens up to John Adams High School. The halls where the likes of Cory Matthews, Shawn Hunter and Topanga Lawrence all caused a ruckus for poor Mr. Feeny. Walking through the halls is a lesser known former student. It’s Henderson, Wesley Crane’s personal assistant, walking with the Wrestle:United Kingdom World Heavyweight Extreme Champion of the World, “The High Roller” Wesley Crane. Wesley is decked out in a white suit with a plum purple shirt under the jacket, top three buttons unbuttoned to show off his chiseled upper body. His Extreme Championship draped over his right shoulder. Henderson on the other hand is dressed in brown pants and an off colored white short sleeve buttoned down shirt and of course, he carries his iPad around with him. As they wander the halls, they stop to a door that reads “Mr. Turner.” Wesley looks through the window of the classroom door and can see a tall, slender looking man in his early 60’s teaching English to a roomful of students that have got to be around the age of 10.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “I realize the fans have grown a certain “love” for me over the past couple of weeks, but a school? School aged children? Are you sure this is the best place for me to be?”
Henderson: “I’ve spoken to Mr. Turner and he guarantees me that most of the kids in his classroom are huge wrestling fans. This can’t fail! Follow me!”
Wesley takes a deep breath and slowly exhales.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Can’t fail…”
Henderson knocks on the door. Mr. Turner walks over and opens the door with a smile on his face. He extends his right hand and shakes hands with Henderson. He then pats Wesley’s shoulder… the one with the championship on it. Wesley looks at his championship and then looks back at Mr. Turner.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “That’s one. Please keep your hands off my Wrestle:United Kingdom World Heavyweight Extreme Championship of the World.”
Mr. Turner: “I apologize. I thought we’d open it up by letting you introduce yourself and say a few things about yourself.”
Wesley nods in agreement.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Alright, do you kids know who I am or do I need to introduce myself?”
The kids all get rowdy. A bunch of little voices, not in unison, let Wesley know that they know who he is. Wesley gets a grin on his face.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “That’s what I thought. Now, who has a question for the champ?”
A little boy, named Tommy, raises his hand and stands up. Wesley points to him.
Alright, how about you.
Tommy: “Hi, High Roller. I want to know what it’s like to be a champion again.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “It’s pretty fu-... fun.”
Mr. Turner shoots Wesley a look.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Next question, how about you? What’s your name?”
A tomboy-ish girl, named Cassidy, raises her hand.
Wesley points at her.
Cassidy: “My Paw Paw tells me you’re a jerk and he hopes Kalmin Watts kicks your butt and takes your championship.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Well your Paw Paw is an idiot.”
Mr. Turner reaches forward and touches Wesley’s shoulder, the same shoulder that has the Extreme Championship on it. Wesley spins around and snatches Mr. Turner’s hand.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “That’s two. Don’t touch my championship…”
Henderson gives Wesley a look.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Please.”
Mr. Turner: “Please refrain from calling the children’s family members “idiots.””
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Cassidy, I apologize for calling your Paw Paw an idiot. Next question… You!”
Wesley points to a dorky looking kid named Jeffery.
Jeffery: “Hi, Mr. Crane. Can you show us a wrestling move?”
Wesley gets a huge grin on his face.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Sure, how about we do a submission move on Mr. Turner. Don’t worry, Pal, I won’t hurt ya.”
Mr. Turner: “Hey, it can’t be too bad. I mean, after all, wrestling IS fake, ya know?”
Wesley looks at Henderson. Henderson knows he’s losing this battle.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Alright kids, this move is called the Dragon Sleeper, and it’s the move that will help me defeat Kalmin Watts at Legacy.”
Mr. Turner: “I’m going to show you children how easy it is to get out of one of these wrestling moves.”
Without another word being said, Wesley hands his championship off to Henderson and then grabs Mr. Turner and puts him in the Dragon Sleeper. Immediately, Mr. Turner begins tapping out. "That's Three!" yells Wesley. Finally, Wesley lets go and Mr. Turner drops to the ground, holding his throat. Wesley turns and looks back at the kids. Wesley takes a seat at Mr. Turner’s desk.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Hey kids, how’d you like to be a part of my promo?”
The kids all cheer.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: "Henderson, get the iPad ready. You should shoot the video from the back of the room.”
Henderson goes to the back of the room and raises his hand, signaling that it’s time to start.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “We’ve been here. We’ve said what needs to be said… it’s time for war… and at Legacy, you learn that you straight up just don’t want to fu… mess with Wesley Crane. I’ve taken away your upper edge. I’ve taken away your fans. Don’t hate me for it, hate the fans Kalmin. Feel that humiliation of the fans loving Wesley Crane more than they love you. It’s gotta sting. So together, the fans and I will step inside that ring and we will out wrestle you Kalmin Watts. One thing you’ve never been able to do is make me tap out… and I’ll be damned if I’m going to let it happen at Legacy.”
Wesley lowers his head. As he lifts his head back up, he places his “Golden Dragon” mask on his head and pulls it down tight. He closes his eyes and then opens them up wide. He has a very calm demeanor about him.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “At Legacy, you don’t get “The High Roller” Wesley Crane. No, at Legacy you get “The Golden Dragon” Wesley Crane and I promise you that you will know there is a big difference between the two. Legacy can’t get here soon enough, Kalmin.”
Scene ends.
