The wind blew across the grasslands and a few tourists leaned among the proud rocks of Stonehenge. Haruki Saito frowned as he watched them, absently flipping through his phone as he looked up to shake his head at Ace Albany. The smaller man shrugged, and tugged at his beard before he walked a few steps closer.
‘We should be watching tape, we should be getting ready.’
Ace didn’t say anything, but they both looked towards the small masked man sitting between the rocks. His masked face looked at the sun, and his fingers bent strangely as he just sat looking up before he spoke suddenly.
Saito had given up on understanding the masked man, and looked to Ace who spoke Spanish. Or Ancient Zulustran.
‘He says, the builders of this place could use it to pass between worlds. Like a sort of gateway, it is very calming here. You should try it.’
Saito grumbled.
‘Here we go again, next he will be telling me we have to get gifts to show our respects to the representatives of Shakar again! I am not getting the Dark Stars flowers! I am not!’
Ace blinked.
‘You didn’t get the flowers? That could lead to a galactic war!’
Saito sighed, and Shinkurain waved a hand absently. It seemed the alien prince was not too upset over the flowers, and he resumed his meditation. He shook his head, and looked around before he grunted.
‘Where is Anarchy?’
‘I am not sure, said he needed to speak to someone in the London Underground about the cause.’
Saito cursed, and he waved his hands as he stepped into the clearing.
‘Don’t we have enough problems! We have whatever is going on in JROK, we have LD and Big Bone in Round One! And we are in enemy territory! You think he doesn’t know we’re here? We could be getting stalked by the Death Squad right now!’
Ace looked around in a sudden panic, and Saito nodded. Shinkurain snorted, and finally rose with a shake of his head. He grabbed his cloak, unfurling it widely before he drew it around his shoulders. He clasped it in place, and walked forward as he spoke quickly.
Saito stared.
‘What?’
‘He said he would be able to detect any Voidspawn around us. Besides Donzig doesn’t like Stonehenge, the leylines and layout of the rocks makes it harder for him to hear the Void.’
Saito blinked, and looked back to the shrugging and confused Ace. Then they both looked at the small man who had his arms folded before him, masked head tilting before Saito sighed.
‘Are you telling me that Donzig won’t come to Stonehenge? This is the one place in Britain he doesn’t think he owns?’
The Alien Prince spoke again, slashing his head before Saito snorted,
‘What is the Stadium of Light?’
The small man started to speak again, and Saito rubbed at the bridge of his nose. He shook his head, looking away as he sighed. Ace Albany laughed, and Shinkurain looked around before he walked between the towering rocks. He spoke again, and waved a hand as the other two went after him.
‘Me and you, huh? And what about the Vantablack Gauntlet?’
Shinkurian snorted.
