It’s a crisp late summer night in Upstate, New York. Mornings and nights are chilly while the days are warm. “The High Roller” Wesley Crane is walking down by the river (Woo, Chris Farley) with his “lady-friend” Katie Moss. Wesley is dressed in designer jeans, and a black sweatshirt with the words “Champ” in plum purple letters. Under the word “Champ” is the words “”The High Roller” Wesley Crane.” Wesley has the WUK World Tag Team Championship wrapped around his waist. Also around his waist, sitting a little higher is the WUK World Extreme Championship of the World. At first glance, it looks like Wesley would be uncomfortable with that amount of gold wrapped around his waist, but he looks as cocky as ever, totally enjoying the moment. As they walk down the boardwalk next to the river, Wesley takes his right hand and places it on his WUK World Tag Team Championship. He slowly rubs the gold with his hand and then starts to talk.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “It’s been a hot minute and I haven’t given her a proper name yet. I’m thinking we should call her Th-”
Katie interrupts him.
Katie Moss: “You could hold my hand ya know!?!”
Wesley’s grin gets even bigger.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Thelma.”
Katie shoots him a look of confusion.
Katie Moss: “Thelma?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Yeah, Thelma. Like the flick, Thelma and Louise?”
Katie Moss: “Oh, I get it, but why Thelma?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Because Nic Cage told me Geena Davis is a freak. She was wild in her younger years. A stone cold fox.She knew what she wanted and she took it. As she’s gotten older, she’s gotten even more freaky I guess. I’d smash it, once. Maybe twice.”
Katie playfully slaps Wesley on the shoulder.
Katie Moss: “Oh cut it out. Seriously, what are you naming your World Tag Team Championship?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “I told you… Thelma.”
Katie rolls her eyes.
Katie Moss: “Enough about Thelma. Are you ready for Legacy 30? It’s a big night for you. Two matches. One title defense. That’s a lot to take on.”
Wesley stops walking. He turns and looks at Katie.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “For any normal human, maybe… but for Wesley FUCKING Crane, it’s no sweat off his balls.”
Katie Moss: “Don’t use your own name when talking… it’s obnoxious.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “No sweat off MY balls.”
Katie Moss: “That’s better… I guess…”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “First up will be the WUK World Tag Team Championship Match. Bad to the Bone. That dreaded lowlife, Dominicus and his old sack of bones. Who wears a fucking dinosaur costume all the time? Has anyone ever seen the man inside the costume? If he wears the costume 24/7, how does he go to the bathroom? How does he eat or drink? There’s so many questions that I have, and no one to answer me. Tis’ life. But at Legacy, I don’t care how thick that costume is, one IN THE FACE V-Trigger and you’re done. I’ll knee you so hard that it literally sends you back to the days of dinosaurs and cavemen… and cavewomen of course.”
Katie grins.
Katie Moss: “You sound pretty confident. You’re not worried about his size?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Nothing to worry about. He’ll be outside the ring and if needed, I’ll make sure Rage, Cage, and Warrick are present. They’ll stop that big doofy bastard.”
Katie Moss: “What about Big Bone?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Was I worried about him when we beat them for the titles? No. I am confident in who I am. I am confident in the fact that I’m called the best wrestler in the world. I’m confident in the fact that the HRC are THE face of this company. When you see the production trucks, there’s one with the HRC on it. Do you see any with Bad to the Bone? No. They don’t even belong here. They stand no chance.”
Katie Moss: “How are you so sure?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “We beat them once. We will beat them again.”
Katie Moss: “And what about Lor-”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “You know my rule with his name. Don’t call him what you thought about calling him… it’s obnoxious.”
Katie gives Wesley a dirty look.
Katie Moss: “What about Dominicus?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Dominicus can eat a fat dic-”
Katie Moss: “Whoa! Mouth!”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Oh right, where’s my manners? Dominicus can eat a medium sized dic-”
Katie Moss: “WESLEY CRANE, THAT’S ENOUGH!”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Small sized dic-”
Katie Moss: “I’m serious. Keep it up and you’re spending a long night alone.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Alright, alright, alright (Matthew McConaughey voice), I’m done. Truth is this, Dominicus is a son of a bitch. He hangs out, wins a little gold, and suddenly thinks the world revolves around him…”
Katie Moss: “That sounds familiar.”
Wesley shoots her a look.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “He thinks he is taking over, but I can guarantee you that that’s the furthest thing from the truth.”
Katie reaches her arm out and rubs Wesley’s shoulder.
Katie Moss: “Okay, can we stop talking about wrestling. I want to enjoy the night with you.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Me and?”
Katie Moss: “You. I want to enjoy the night with you.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “And who?”
Wesley pats the World Tag Team Championship and then pats the World Extreme Championship of the World. Katie just shakes her head in disbelief.
Katie Moss: “Oh, Thelma and… what do you call her?”
Katie points at the Extreme Championship.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Joan Jett!”
Katie shakes her head again.
Katie Moss: “Thelma and Joan Jett.”
Wesley gets a huge smile on his face.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Dayyyum right!”
