The Xtreme Hardcore Federation Presents:
Gastro
March 21st, 2008
The Target Center
Minneapolis, Minnesota
Stadium Capacity: 20,500
*Following a short video intro for the event we open up to
the night's frenzied arena crowd with the official Gastro event banner
on the
Xtreme-Tron, explosions going off all over the place and the usual show
theme for our weekly broadcast playing loudly across the PA System. We
then zoom over
to ringside moments later and the theme ends as the action is about to
begin for tonight with the first in-ring activity on this week's live
edition of
Gastro....*
*Suddenly... The lights turn dark and... BOOM! Pyros blare throughout
the stage as "Break Stuff" by Limp Bizkit begins to play. Michael Storm
comes out in black wrestling shorts with yellow stripes on the sides.
He begins to runs full speed down the ramp and then soon slides into
the ring! Michael Storm gets up and then jumps to one turnbuckle and
raises his arms, getting boos from the audience. Michael Storm jumps
off and lands on his feet and stretches out his legs a little bit,
waiting for the match to begin.*
*"Choke Me" by The Used hits the speakers as Curtis Kanyon emerges from
the curtain. He pounds his chest with his firsts then raises his arms
in the air. He then runs down to the ring and slides in. He climbs a
turnbuckle and pounds his chest again. He then gets down and awaits the
match to start.*
Hardcore Rules Match
Michael Storm vs. Curtis Kanyon
The two men circle each other as the bell rings to start the match. Storm flexes his arms as Curtis Kanyon hunches over moving his fingers eagerly. They move towards each other before Storm moves backwards and holds his hands up laughing whilst Curtis looks angry at being humiliated. He launches at Storm and unleashes a flurry of punches. Storm falls backwards under Kanyon's punches but then begins to return some of his own. The two return punches before Storm knees Curtis in the mid-section. Curtis bends over and Storm executes an implant DDT.
Cole: Massive DDT there!
Storm slides out of the ring and lifts up the apron, beginning to look for weapons, but within seconds Curtis is outside and hammering blows down on Storm's back. Storm drops to the floor and Curtis Kanyon locks in a headlock on Storm. Curtis then lifts Storm's head up and slams it down into the mats at ringside. He then continues looking under the ring for weapons. He pulls out two trash cans full of weapons. He throws one in the ring and keeps one. Curtis begins to look through the weapons pulling them out. He pulls out a two by four, then a shower head, then a stop sign.
King: Wow looks like Curtis is doing his best to literally take this match to the Xtreme outside the ring!
In the meantime Storm has gotten to his feet and picked up the afformentioned stop sign. He rushes Curtis who turns around just in time to be smacked over the head with the stop sign. Curtis staggers backwards and then drops. Storm raises the bent up sign above his head and taunts to the crowd, grinning cockily. Curtis springs to life drop toe holding Storm, who falls forward landing face first on his own stop sign. Curtis picks Storm up and locks in a grapple. He lifts Storm up for a suplex, but Storm drops over behind Curtis. Storm lifts up Curtis and executes a back body drop onto the trash can full of weapons!
Cole: That's gotta hurt!
King: Shocking!
Curtis writhes in pain and Storm lays down exhausted too. Eventually Storm gets up, he walks over towards the destroyed stop sign and tosses it into the crowd, who scream like some kind of usher fans. Curtis gets to his feet and Storm charges, Curtis moves a little lifting Storm up as if for a suplex, but letting Storm drop onto the security barrier. Storm hits the barrier and recoils painfully, writhing about madly holding his chest and neck. Curtis moves towards the trash can full of weapons, now flat. He pries the can open and begins pulling some more weapons out, a broom, a deflated blow up doll! He pauses for a minute to look at the blow up doll. He shakes his head and then throws it aside, going back to the can he pulls out a mop head, and then a solid block of wood. Roughly a four by four block.
King: That is roughly a four by four block.
Cole: How do you know?
King: I took woodshop in high school.
Curtis turns to Storm with a sadistic grin on his face. Storm sees the block and his eyes go wide with shock. He runs from the corner and slides into the ring before Curtis has a chance. Storm runs to the trash can in the ring and pulls out a steel chair. He then proceeds to shout insults at Curtis from the inside of the ring threatening to nail him with the chair. Curtis circles the ring, obviously not stupid enough to slide in the ring whilse his opponent has a steel chair. Curtis drops his weapon and opens his arms wide, showing Storm that he's un-armed. Storm hesitates and then drops the chair. Kanyon rolls into the ring, but in that instant Storm had picked up the chair again and nails Kanyon across the back with the chair! Storm rolls Curtis over and covers him. 1......2....-KICKOUT!
Cole: We were so close to a Michael Storm victory right there!
Curtis manages to kickout and Storm begins complaining, something about the ref being a white boy, and being racist. Curtis however has gotten back to his feet elsewhere and has picked up the chair. Storm turns around to get nailed straight in the face with the chair. Blood splatters everywhere, all over the chair and the mat. In his anger Curtis picks up the trash can still full of weapons, including a sledgehammer by the look of things. He wedges it into the turnbuckle and then proceeds to pick up Storm. Storm however moves around and rolls up Curtis using the ropes and the tights. 1.......2.......3!!!
Winner via Pinfall: Michael Storm!
Cole: What a hard fought, though somewhat tainted of a victory for Storm!
King: Yeah no doubt about it, Curtis came ready for a battle but Storm as usual brought the all out war. And sure he did use the ropes and tights slightly to get the pinfall, but a win is a win however it comes Cole....
*We now shift focus to the back where Joey Hawke is talking to Scorpion. Well, rather, he’s talking at Scorpion.*
:joey You’re pathetic. I mean, here you come out and you give us all
that sob story about how you’ve been in rehabilitation and therapy for
your injuries, and that the whole time, Mr. Rob Arnold was there by
your side. Seriously, it’s sickening. And furthermore? Nobody cares.
*Scorpion just keeps his cool and doesn’t say anything.*
:joey You know, I’m glad you got hurt, it knocked some sense into
you, I see you’ve put down the fishing pole and the radio blasting
Bruce Springsteen, at least for today. But you know what?
*There’s a slight pause where Joey waits for Scorpion to respond, but he doesn’t.*
:joey I’ll tell you what. During your crazier days. The days when
all you talked about was fishing and half the time were in a mental
hospital- that was the height of your popularity. That was when you
actually made a difference around here. Now? Now you’re just some
washed up former champ like Destruction, only people still remember his
glory days. Nobody remembers what you did besides talk about fishing
contests and footraces and "The Boss." You’re just a jo-
*Suddenly Rob Arnold walks up.*
:arnold Whoa whoa whoa. What are you doing here Joey?
:joey I’m talking with your good buddy.
:arnold More like reading him the riot act for no reason.
:joey Listen, what I do on my own ti-
:arnold Shut up a second. If you wanna pick on a legend on your own time, then maybe I wanna pick on a geriatric on my own time.
*Rob bumps Joey a little. Joey looks infuriated.*
:joey Listen here kid, I’m a staff member, you keep your hands off of me.
:arnold Then you keep your mouth shut about Scorpion. Y’know Joey,
I’ve still got the European Championship and I don’t have an opponent
for Night of Champions. Maybe you’d like to put your money where your
mouth is and get in the ring against me and this "joke." You’d of
course bring Congo with. And whoever scores the pin or submission, gets
to be the last European champ.
*Rob raises the belt and looks at Joey.*
:scorpion Yeah, so Mr. Hawke, how’d you like to see how you fare against a washed-up has-been like me, eh?
:joey Well...um...er...
*Joey is obviously nervous. Just then, Congo the Destroyer runs up.*
:congo Hey guys! What’s up?
:joey Well champ, Rob just challenged us to a match at Night of Champions-
:congo Night of Champions? To be the last European Champion? That’s awesome! I totally accept!
:joey But kid-
:congo Anyway, gotta run guys, nice seeing you. I’ll see you at Night of Champions!
*He takes off. Joey looks crushed as he looks over at Scorpion and Rob. Scorpion just has a big smile on his face.*
:joey Oh you shut up
*He walks off with his head lowered as we cut to commercial.*
*The scene fades in on the raging XHF arena upon returning from the break, where the fans are going
nuts! Chants are breaking out, and even beach balls are being bounced
around. Suddenly, the opening drum beats, to Disturbed's "Perfect
Insanity" hit and the lights start flashing blue and red. A huge red
pyro explodes as the guitars pick up and the Xtreme Tron plays a
familiar video.
Cole: I think I know who this is!
King: I can't believe he is still alive!
Out
walks, Red Fusion dressed in a casual suit, and a pair of red shades.
The fans explode at the return of Red Fusion! Red has a smile on his
face, and he makes his way down ramp, slapping some hands. He walks up
the steps and into the ring, and a mic is handed to him. The fans
continue to cheer as the music cuts out. They are blowing the roof off
of the arena.*
:fusion : You know, I have to tell you, and I think I speak for the entire damn locker room, when I say, I'm going to
fucking miss you guys.
*The fans explode once again as Red smiles and lets out a chuckle, as he takes off his shades.*
:fusion
: In just one week... We will put on the final show of our XHF
careers. It will be the final chance, witness true talent, and true
greatness.
*The crowd starts to boo, unbearably at this.*
:fusion
: I know I know... I don't like it either. But, what's done is done...
The papers have been signed and this place will no longer be in
business as of March 30, 2008... It's a damn shame too. Night of
Champions is it. Right back to Minnisota where it all started...
Which is why I'm out here... As many of you know, I've been on
a...lengthy hiatus from wrestling. I had an injury I sustained after
the battle royal I was in not far back... Well, a reagrivated injury.
My ribs. I cracked a couple of them... As you all remember, I first
broke a few during my battles with Curtis Kanyon. I was under the
impression they were all healed, but they weren't...and still aren't.
But no matter. I think I have one good match left in me for all of you
people.
*The
crowd starts chanting "XHF" extremely loud and keep it going for a few
minutes as Red stands there, and a tear streams down his face. He
wipes it away, as if he has something in his eye.*
:fusion : I
swear, this is going to be a night that no one will ever forget. Which
brings me to who I am going to throw a challenge to. A man who is a
legend in this business. A man who gave me many helpful hints and tips
behind the scenes when I first got in this place, 3 years ago. A man
you all, know and love. I am aware that he is not in the building
tonight, but I still want to throw a challenge his way. I know he's
watching at home, and he already knows who he is... At Night of
Champions, I want to face you...GRAVEDIGGER!
*The fans
explode! There is no calming them!*
Cole: My God King!
King: Is he nuts?! He's going to get his ass handed to him!
Cole: Oh shut it.
King: What...I'm just saying...
:fusion
: Gravedigger, I'm calling you out for Night of Champions. Take it or
leave it. All I know is that it's been a hell of a ride with this
place, and I want to end it, with my biggest challenge yet... I love
all of you fans, and I'll be seeing you around.
*Red tosses the
mic down and waves to the fans. He climbs up a near turnbuckle and
points to the fans, and slaps his chest a few times. He raises one
fist, and the fans explode with even more cheers! "Perfect Insanity"
hits one more time as the scene fades out to commercial.*
*Suddenly, the arena lights begin to flicker off and on and
as the
crowd rises to it's feet immediately in anticipation, a combination of
loud guitar riffs and the following words slowly begin to echo and
scroll across the
massive Xtreme-Tron screen above...
"Visit again white elephant,
Who sent you to loom?,
Shall we sever everything?,
Ponder this while we ponder why...,
He's starting to follow crows,
And climbing the ladder somewhere out to,
Really begin to scare,
And plotting to comb the grounds with a fine tooth..."
*Thereafter, the daunting chorus of "Antisaint" by Chevelle
kicks in over the PA as the XHF's own self-proclaimed Antisaint of
sorts
himself, the infamous Matt Hicks then emerges from behind the curtain
with wife Jennifer Dream by his side! Moments later this duo proceeds
to make their way
on down the rampway to an overwhelming sea of boos, and soon amidst
this the multiple-time XHF title holder in Hicks makes his way up the
ring steps, leaving
his lovely wife to continue cheering him on from down below. Once
inside the ring Matt Hicks goes to lean over toward the ropes and taunt
off some raising a
set of fiercely clenched fists to this entire sellout, roaring crowd of
Xtreme Hardcore Federation fans joining us here tonight. Afterwards
Hicks begins to
bounce back and forth off the ropes flexing a bit, eagerly awaiting the
emergence of any and all forthcoming opposition at this point...*
**The lights begin to flash as Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Gimme Back My Bullets"
begins to rain out of the arena's speakers. As it goes on, Ron Gibson
walks from behind the curtains and stands at the top of the stage,
looking out to everyone in attendance**
"Life is so strange when its changin', yes indeed
Well I've seen the hard times and the pressure's been on me
But I keep on workin' like the workin' man do
And I've got my act together, gonna walk all over you
Gimme back my bullets
Put 'em back where they belong
Ain't foolin' around 'cause I done had my fun
Ain't gonna see no more damage done
Gimme back my bullet"
**Rob
Gibson begins walking down the ramp. Displaying a look if disgust, as
he sees people of all races just boo his ass. He ignores them because
of who they are and continues walking down the ramp ever so slowly.
Starring into thr crowd**
"Sweet talkin' people done ran me out of town
And I drank enough whiskey to float a battleship around
But I'm leavin' this game one step ahead of you
And you will not hear me cry 'cause I do not sing the blues
Gimme back my bullets
Put 'em back where they belong
Ain't foolin' around 'cause I done had my fun
Ain't gonna see no more damage done
Gimme back, gimme back my bullets
Oh, put 'em back... where they belong"
**Ron
Gibson puts his leg on the apron and then pulls him up so he's standing
on the apron. He still has that ugly grin on his face, as he slowly
puts his back on the ropes, then yells at all the people that don't
look like him. He continues to do this as he gets in the ring. He
slowly walks around the ring and picks out people according to their
race. Cussing them out and showing no respect.**
"Been up and down since I turned seventeen
Well I've been on top, and then it seems I lost my dream
But I got it back, I'm feelin' better everyday
Tell all those pencil pushers, better get out of my way
Gimme back my bullets
Put 'em back where they belong
Ain't foolin' around, 'cause I done had my fun
Ain't gonna see no more damage done
Gimme back, gimme back my bullets
Oh put 'em back where they belong
Gimme back my bullets"
**Gibson
finally pulls his attention away from the fans and focuses, However
fans begin to shower the ring with stuff, trying to hit or injure
gibson. He dodges the stuff and the just ignores the fans even when
they continue to boo him. Then he runs to the corner and gets on top,
as the music begins to die and starts again with obscenities to certain
fans. Showing of that ugly smirk aswell. He then gets back to his
corner and waits for the match to start**
Singles Match
Matt Hicks vs. Ron Gibson
Both Matt Hicks and his match opponent, Ron Gibson, are ready for this fight. They both jump once or twice, loosening up while circling the ring. Matt Hicks and Ron Gibson go to a lock up. Ron Gibson breaks it and throws a punch but Matt Hicks ducks it and goes behind Ron Gibson. Matt Hicks follows up this momentum with a back body drop, slamming the back of Ron Gibson's body on the floor! Matt Hicks arrogantly raises his arms in the air and is greeted by mostly boos. Ron Gibson slowly rises to his feet and he has a sick glare on his eyes nearby. He runs to Matt Hicks but he falls down in an intentional way that causes Ron Gibson to trip and land face first onto the canvas. Ron Gibson rolls onto his back and Matt Hicks climbs the top rope. He jumps in cross body position, and it hits Ron Gibson. Hes in pinning position: One... Two... Kickout by
Ron Gibson!
Cole: Wow, look at Matt Hicks go! He may win this!
King: Maybe...
Ron Gibson rolls out of the ring in pain as Matt Hicks rises to his feet. Ron Gibson holds up his hands in the least hostile manner as he possibly can and Matt Hicks walks closer to the ropes to yell at Ron Gibson more so he can get in the ring. He nods and walks over to the ropes but he grabs Matt Hicks' feet and causes him to fall! Matt Hicks hits the back of his head hard against the canvas and this is the opening that Ron Gibson needs in order to get back into this game. Ron Gibson rolls back into the ring and looks at Matt Hicks. He gives him a leg drop and it hits Matt Hicks straight onto the throat! He gags and holds his throat! Ron Gibson points to himself then jumps to the top turnbuckle! He jumps off with a move of his own: The Elbow Drop! He wipes the sweat off his forehead and pins Matt Hicks: One... Two... Th-KICKOUT!
Cole: Oohhhh... Matt almost lost there.
King: Really!? I would have NEVER guessed!!!
Matt Hicks flops like a fish in the ring because that move was THAT painful. Ron Gibson sits up and shakes his head. He deserved a win, or so he thought. He gets up from the ground and he argues with the referee about that pinfall count call and the referee defends his point, saying it was almost a three count but it was in fact, a two count. Ron Gibson still continues to argue but it becomes clear that nothing is going to be resolved. While arguing, we see Matt Hicks putting his hand between Ron Gibson's legs, trying to roll him up for a school boy and Ron Gibson dodges this before that was able to happen. He kicks his hand and Matt Hicks backs off. Ron Gibson goes to throw a punch but Matt Hicks ducks it and spears him and it also shakes up the referee a little bit. Out of nowhere, we then see an all too familiar looking man in the form of Curtis Kanyon himself as he's jumping in the ring from nearby and hitting Hicks in the back with a steel chain! He then quickly puts Ron Gibson's arm over Matt Hicks' chest. He quickly gets out of the ring afterwards and we see the referee back out of the daze as he goes to count the pin: One, Two, Three!
Winner via Pinfall: Ron Gibson!
Cole: What the hell was that about?!
King: Apparently Curtis was out to send another strong message here tonight that Dirty Deal means business as far as the tag gold is concerned at Night of Champions...
*The lights in the arena go down to black following our latest commercial break. Suddenly two giant pyros
shoot off from either side of the stage as the crowd is slammed into
the chorus of Electric Light Orchestras variation on In the Hall of the
Mountain King. The Xtreme-Tron looks as if a hole is being burned
through it. The burned outline forms a shape, the shape of a bird,
suddenly, the entire area of the bird lights up with flames, a phoenix.
The letters XHF fall onto the phoenix as the flames continue on with
shots of Mongo's career within the phoenix. The song continues as a
black bird image emblazoned with XHF is projected onto the ring mat.
The letters H and F are projected onto the ramp way. Suddenly, two
white flares fire from either side of the entranceway, they cross
forming an X. As they sparkle and fizz, Mongo walks under the large X
above him. He then makes his way down to the ring amidst a cheering
crowd. Once he reaches the ring he gets in. Adjusts his suit and pulls
out a microphone.*
:mongo Hey folks! I’m here to make a rather big announcement. And trust me folks, this is gonna be HUGE
*He nods to crowd, letting them know he’s serious.*
:mongo Now Mr. X last week named the stipulation that my match with
him at Night of Champions will be a Flawless match. So figured this. If
X can make demands, and stipulate this match, then why the heck can’t
I? So I’m out here to name my stipulation to the match.
*The crowd cheers.*
:mongo Generally, when a wrestling company closes down, all of the
titles are considered retired. This even includes the top belts in the
company, something we don’t really talk about, what with the X*Crown
being born of them and whatnot. But the X*Crown is a great example of
what happens anyway. You see, for every champ, there’s usually a
replica belt made for when their title run is over. This might not
always be true for lower titles, but for a Heavyweight or World title
it is. Some of you may have seen one of Spike Kane’s Xtreme Hardcore
Federation World Heavyweight Championship belts being burned elsewhere.
I know I did.
*Mongo sort of rolls his eyes at this thought.*
:mongo Now its considered an especial privilege when someone is the
last person to hold the title. One great example of this is Steve
Awesome with the TXA Championship. When the company closed, he was
considered the final champion, and would therefore be considered
forever their champ. He also had the right to carry around the replica
of the final belt, and do with it what he pleased. For the longest time
we tried to get him to enter it into the X*Crown, but he always fought
the odds and has maintained it
*Mongo puts his hand to the side of his mouth*
:mongo ...well, except for that little snafu with Mark Evil
*The crowd laughs a little.*
:mongo But by allowing someone to carry a final replica, it is as
though the title doesn’t die. The thing is though; I don’t want to give
Mr. X the chance to take my title elsewhere. I don’t want to give him
the opportunity to defend it elsewhere, I don’t want the chance for
this rivalry to come back after in another company- or some other
variant of the Xtreme Hardcore Federation. Which is why I am formally
announcing tonight, that upon the conclusion of the Main Event of Night
of Champions, Myself, Mongo the Destroyer, versus Mr. X in a Flawless
Match for the Xtreme Hardcore Federation World Heavyweight
Championship, the title will be permanently retired, and there will be
no replica belt made for the winner.
*He pauses as people take this in.*
:mongo What I’m trying to say is this. If, somehow, Mr. X beats me,
and finally gains his victory, he’ll only be able to savor it for all
of five minutes before the belt is archived. I am doing this to
preserve the integrity of a championship that’s seen too many poor
champions already. However, with it being permanently retired, if by
some chance the Xtreme Hardcore Federation was revived, it would not be
allowed back into active competition.
*Gasps abound as Mongo looks right into the camera, so as to make sure that Mr. X, presumably watching in back sees this.*
:mongo Mr. X, this one is for all of the marbles, and yet now a
cruel joke to the winner. You want to mess with me X, then I’ll mess
with you. I’ll see you at Night of Champions.
*"In the Hall of the Mountain King" plays as Mongo walks out of the arena and we cut to our final break before tonight's much-anticipated main event.*
*As the lights in the arena flicker, the fans jump to their feet in
anticipation. The blaring opening guitars of Stone Sour's "Reborn"
begin to blast through the speakers, and as this happens, the following
is played over the Xtreme Tron, followed by several in-ring clips of
MGK facing various opponents.
Finally, MGK makes his
way out from backstage, dressed in his ring attire, with black tape
covering up his hands and wrists. In white, the letters KO are written
on the backs of his hands on the tape. He stands on the entrance stage
for a few seconds with his half of the XHF Tag Team Titles on his
shoulder, before making his way down the ramp, occasionally stopping to
glance at the ring, and the fans. He then gets onto the ring apron, and
enters the ring. Dropping down to one knee in the center of the ring,
he places the Tag Title in front of him and crosses his arms over his
chest to form an X, as a blue spotlight falls down on him alone, the
rest of the arena caught up in darkness. MGK then stands up and grabs
the XHF Tag Title while lightly tapping the front title plate with his
fist, warranting a cheer from the fans. As MGK begins to pace the ring,
his music fades, and he hands the title to the referee before he
prepares for the match.*
*All the lights in the arena are shut
off, as the intro to Coheed and Cambria's "No World For Tomorrow"
echoes throughout the arena. Green sparks suddenly fall from the
ceiling all around the arena, creating a rain effect. The logo of The
Punisher is lowered over the XtremeTron, covering it completely, as
smoke emerges from the floor. Charlie Velez walks up the steps that are
under the ramp, wearing a hooded sweatshirt, as he reaches the top and
stands there, looking down at the floor. After a brief moment Charlie
Velez lifts his head slowly, and begins to walk down the ramp, smoke
covering the whole floor. Charlie Velez reaches the button of the ramp,
and he stops, glaring around the arena full of XHF fans. Charlie looks
up to the sky as the hood falls off his head. Charlie falls to his
knees and holds his arms out and gives a tribute to his mentor Tatsumi
Matsuzaka, as green firework type pyros shoot out in front of the
XtremeTron. Charlie stands at the bottom step looking around at the
arena, shouting at the fans around him. While he's standing there, he
slowly crosses his arms to form an X, as the smoke is beginning to
clear from the arena. The pyro rain continues to fall, as Charlie Velez
then walks up the ring steps, and then goes into the ring. Charlie
Velez walks towards the turnbuckle across from him, and climbs up to
the second turnbuckle. While Charlie stares at the camera, he begins to
slide his hooded sweatshirt off of him. The ring announcer takes the
hooded sweatshirt from out of the ring, and Charlie Velez then walks
down the turnbuckle. Charlie looks at the fans and crosses his arms
creating the Xtremist logo once again and holds it to his chest. He
then turns his attention towards MGK, waiting for the match to begin.*
Singles Match
Charlie Velez vs. MGK
Both competitors walk towards the center of the ring, the only thing
separating them is the referee. He explains the rules to both men and
signals for the bell to ring, and the orders the match to begin. Both
Charlie Velez and MGK just stare at one another, and both take a few
steps back and then grapple. Neither man is able to budge one another;
each man using all of their weight to gain an advantage. Charlie Velez
breaks the hold and stomps the mat, upset that the grapple is going
nowhere. MGK just nods his head with a grin on his face, satisfied with
Charlie's reaction. Charlie turns to MGK and points to him while saying
something, but MGK blows it off and tells Charlie to grapple again.
They do, and it's another struggle as neither man takes advantage.
Again, Charlie Velez breaks the grapple and takes a few steps back,
upset at the result. MGK looks around at the arena and nods his head,
and when Charlie Velez turns his attention back to him, MGK tells
Charlie to try again. Charlie rolls his neck and when both men begin to
grapple, he lifts up his knee, and then sends a hard forearm into the
back of MGK. Charlie proceeds to start stomping down on MGK, but MGK
begins to climb up to his feet. MGK is all the way up to his feet and
Charlie sends a knife edge chop into his chest, and then grabbing his
wrist. Charlie Velez tosses MGK into the ropes, and when MGK bounces
back Charlie attempts a clothesline, but MGK ducks under it. MGK
bounces on the ropes behind Charlie, and when Charlie turns around MGK
leaps up and delivers a hard forearm smash to the head of Charlie,
knocking him down! Charlie gets back to his feet quickly and he and MGK
run towards each other, and Charlie goes for a leaping enzuigurI kick,
but MGK ducks and Charlie lands on his feet. MGK goes for a clothesline
from behind , but Charlie ducks and dropkicks MGK in the knee. MGK
drops to one knee, and Charlie gets up to his feet and runs towards the
ropes attempting for a sharp kick to the chest of MGK, but MGK falls
flat to his stomach and rolls out of the way and on his feet. Charlie
turns and is met with a hurricanrana attempt from MGK, but Charlie
Velez holds him up. Charlie attempts to power bomb him, but MGK begins
to send fists into his face, and pushes himself off and behind Charlie.
Both turn to each other and Charlie goes for a right hand, but MGK
blocks it and sends a hard kick to the side. MGK goes for another one,
but Charlie catches his leg, and then drives a hard forearm to the
head. MGK stumbles back towards the ropes and Charlie runs towards him,
but MGK ducks and grabs the top rope, sending Charlie to the outside!
Charlie
Velez stands back up and checks his nose to see if he's bleeding, as
MGK is in the ring, waiting for Charlie to come back in. Charlie says
something to MGK and begins to climb back into the ring, but he's
knocked back off the apron by a running knee. Charlie stumbles and
hit's the railing, as MGK runs towards the ropes on the other side and
when he approaches Charlie, he flies over the ropes and lands on him
with a flying cross body! MGK gets up to his feet and starts screaming
in excitement, as Charlie Velez starts crawling away from him. MGK
finally turns his attention back to his opponent, lifting him up and
rolling him inside. MGK follows after him, and makes a pin attempt. The
referee counts, 1-2-Charlie kicks out. MGK gets on his knees and sends
a hard fist into the face of Charlie, and then grabs him and picks him
up. MGK grabs the waist of Charlie and runs and drives him into the
corner, and then begins to send hard shoulder thrusts into his stomach.
MGK stands up straight and walks back and runs towards Charlie, but
bounces on the ropes, springboards off, and dropkicks Charlie right in
the stomach! Charlie holds his stomach in pain, and MGK makes another
pin attempt. Charlie again kicks out before the count of three. MGK
climbs up to his feet and stomps on Charlie, who's trying to push
himself up to his own feet. MGK goes for a swift kick to the side but
Charlie blocks it with both of his forearms, and then drives his head
into the stomach of MGK, sending him to his knees. Charlie is finally
up to his feet and just sends hard, vicious kicks into the body of his
opponent before grabbing him by the hair and lifting him up to his
feet. Charlie wraps on of his arms around MGK's body and lifts him up,
before slamming him down into the mat with a sidewalk slam. Instead of
going for the cover though, Charlie gets up to his feet and bounces off
the ropes, then drives a hard knee into the head of MGK. MGK bounces
around the ring holding his head, but Charlie grabs him and makes the
cover. 1-2-MGK kicks out before the count of three. Charlie sits MGK up
and wraps his arm around his neck, only to bring him down and apply a
sleeper hold. MGK is able to move though, as he begins to turn his body
and push himself up. While on their feet, MGK delivers hard elbows into
the ribs of Charlie, forcing Charlie to break to hold. MGK runs forward
and to the ropes, but before he can do anything Charlie knocks him down
with a clothesline. MGK gets up to his feet as soon as possible, only
to have a foot be driven into his stomach. Charlie wraps his arm around
MGK's neck, and begins to turn him over in a reverse front facelock
position. Charlie taunts for the Side Effect, but MGK begins to try to
wiggle out of it. Charlie begins sending hard forearms into his
stomach, but MGK lifts up his leg and delivers a kick to Charlie's
head! Charlie lets go of the hold and stumbles back as MGK regains his
composure. MGK sets Charlie for it, and goes running full speed going
for a standing Bullet With a Name, but Charlie is able to lower his
head and lift MGK onto his shoulders! He pushes MGK up and lifts a
knee, driving him into the mat with The Xtremist Way! Charlie makes a
quick cover, 1-2-MGK just kicks out!
Charlie jumps to his feet
and into the face of the referee, basically shoving the official into
the corner! Charlie is irate at the result of the count, but the
referee is holding his own and standing by his story. While all of this
is happening, MGK is climbing up to his feet. He sees Charlie in the
corner and runs towards him, all while the referee dives out of the
way. Charlie is confused and turns his attention around, just to have
both of MGK's knees driven into his chest! Charlie hit's the corner
hard and falls to the mat in the process, and MGK goes all out with
stomps into Charlie's body! MGK grabs Charlie and lifts him up to bend
him over, as he begins sending multiple knees into the body of his
opponent. MGK straightens Charlie up and shoves him so he bounces
against the ropes, and then applies a sleeper hold. Charlie doesn't
stay in the move for long as he grabs MGK and lifts him up going for a
back suplex, and is successful in dropping him down. Both men are on
the mat next to each other, when all of a sudden MGK grabs Charlie's
arm and rolls both of them onto their stomachs, and applies the Damage
Plan! In the center of the ring both competitors are struggling; MGK
struggling to get Charlie to tap, and Charlie from trying to get the
hell out of the move. Charlie holds his arm up in the air looking like
he's going to tap, and the crowd is screaming in anticipation for the
tap, but instead he drives his fingers into the ring, and begins to
drag himself towards the ropes! The two men continue to fight each
other, but Charlie finally makes it close to the ropes. He extends his
free hand and reaches for the ropes, but MGK pushes the bottom rope
away from him! The referee calls for the illegal tactic from MGK and
begins a four count, and MGK releases the rope. Charlie finally reaches
out, and grabs the bottom rope, forcing MGK to break the hold. MGK
doesn't let go until the referee counts up to four, and he gets up to
his feet. Charlie Velez is dragging himself to a corner, and begins to
use the turnbuckle to help pull himself up. MGK walks over and sends
forearms into Charlie, and then lifts him up to the top turnbuckle. MGK
follows up, and begins sending fists into the head of Charlie, and then
pointing to the sky. As he is doing though, Charlie uses the
opportunity to send hard punches into the stomach of MGK, and then he
grabs him. Charlie bends MGK over and then grabs his waist, and looks
around the arena, but MGK is too quick as he gets out of the move, and
grabs Charlie's head and smashes him into the top turnbuckle. Charlie
is bent over, and MGK stands on top of the turnbuckle. He hooks both of
Charlie's arms and jumps up, and slams Charlie down into the mat with
the Pepsi Plunge!
Both men lay on the mat motionless for a few
moments until MGK crawls over and hooks the leg of Charlie Velez.
1...2...Charlie kicks out!
MGK sits up next to Charlie shaking
his head, not sure on how to beat him. He turns around and climbs to
his feet, bringing Charlie up with him. He grabs Charlie's arm and goes
for a short clothesline, but Charlie ducks and applies a reverse waist
lock onto MGK and lifts him up, slamming him down with a german suplex!
Charlie doesn't bridge the hold though, instead he rolls back and up to
his feet, gets MGK in a full nelson, and then drives him down with a
dragon suplex! Charlie isn't done yet, again he swings around and
pushes himself up and this time crosses MGK's arms across his body,
lifts him up, and drives him into the mat with the X-Plex! Charlie
bridges the hold, and the referee counts; 1-2-MGK kicks out! Charlie
releases the hold and sits down, glaring at the referee. He has some
choice words for him, but then begins to crawl behind MGK, who's trying
to climb up to his feet. Charlie stalks behind him, waiting for the
perfect opportunity. MGK makes it to his feet and slowly turns himself
around, once he does Charlie leaps up into the air and plants MGK into
the mat with the Closure! Charlie makes the cover, 1...2...MGK kicks
out! Charlie Velez stands up in victory, only to realize that the
referee only counted to two! Charlie runs and screams at the referee,
getting right in his face. Charlie Velez disrespects the referee by
shoving his finger in his face and threatening him, and the referee
can't take anymore and he shoves Charlie…into a MGK superkick! MGK
makes the cover, 1...2...3/Charlie kicks out a split second too late!
Winner via Pinfall: MGK!
*MGK rolls out of the
ring and the referee follows him, holding his arm up in victory.
Charlie Velez lividly shoots up to his feet and watches this, and
begins to throw a tantrum in the ring, as Gastro's final Friday night
episode comes dramatically to an end....*
Both
Charlie Velez and MGK just stare at one another, and both take a few
steps back and then grapple. Neither man is able to budge one another;
each man using all of their weight to gain an advantage.
