Mongo the Destroyer, Rage (aka NoMercyMaster2001), and 3 more like this

Ohh, I've been travelin' on this road too long (too long)
Just tryin' to find my way back home (back home)
The old me is dead and gone, dead and gone
“They say that I’m not the same. They say I don’t have it in me anymore. They say that what I once was is dead.”He stands in front of an empty case. The door is hanging by one hinge on the left side, and the glass is cracked. The shelves are empty and covered in dust. He looks ragged with an unshaved beard and long and disheveled hair.
“I look at these trophies, all of the titles that are behind me, and I think to myself, ‘Can you still do this?’ and I know the answer is yes. I know I still have it in me. I remember the time when I started as just the protégé of a man in face paint who saw in me what everyone else soon would.”
He points over his shoulder to a broken and crooked picture on the wall of a young Venom standing with his former mentor Scorpion.
“Then I was much like I was right now, alone, unknown and only one person that believed in me. I would come to the XHF and have early success, but could not maintain that success early. I’d win the Junior Heavyweight Championship only to lose it on my first defense. I’d then decide it was time to step out of the shadow of my mentor, and when I did I met someone else looking to do the same, Fury.”
He points over his shoulder to the bottom right corner where nothing sits in the empty case.
“We would have a little more success holding onto our XHF Tag Team Championships, but it led to a long running feud between us. The tag division is where I would live for the foreseeable future winning championships with more partners than I can count. I would find major success in the XHF after spending sometime in another company, also winning gold while I was there, but it was never enough.”
Venom looks disgusted thinking about it. He shakes his head before continuing.
“I rose to the top. I was a part of the greatest group in the history of the XHF. I held gold for nine straight months at one point holding three titles at one time. It wasn’t enough, though. It was enough for me because I loved to be on top. I loved to have gold. It’s all I wanted. Others, though, they didn’t believe I deserved it. They said I got lucky. They said I got shots handed to me. They said I lucked out. They treated me like the NBA treats Stephen Curry. They told me I was too small to be truly dominant. They told me I only stayed on top because I had all the tricks. They told me I wasn’t good enough. I was the champion during one of the highest points of the XHF and all I got was that I was no Reeshi, no Destruction, no Scorpion.”
He turns to look over his shoulder and waives at the case.
“I had all this gold. I did everything that you could expect from a wrestler in my time. Yet no one gave me any credit.”
He turns back to the camera, disgust still on his face.
“Now my career is over. I even went on to a new company after the XHF closed its doors and found just as much success. There was no Mongo. There was no one I knew in the front office. There was just me and my Young Gun partner, but it still wasn’t enough. Now they say I’m too old and beaten up to prove them wrong. They say I’m too injured to step back in the ring. They say my career is dead and gone. Well, what they don’t know is that I’m always up for a challenge, and to prove them wrong I’m coming back to the XHF Network to do just that, and I’m bringing the only person who believe in me with me.”
The screen goes black.
