USING THE CALENDAR - A TUTORIAL

OK guys, I've put together a little tutorial about how to create an entry (and subsequent match card) for our shows using the calendar.
It's very simple, just follow these easy steps and you can't go wrong (except I did go wrong a couple of times whilst trying to make this... oops)
STEP 1: GO INTO THE CALENDAR AND CREATE A NEW EVENT
It's probably quicker to just hit the "New Event" button on the main calendar page than by going into the specific day that you want to host an event. But hey, whatever floats your boat.
STEP 2: SET UP THE TIME, DATE, AND SUBFORUM
First off - when I first set this up as an "All Day Event" the calendar ended up scheduling it for the day before the one I chose. Why? Who knows.
So uncheck that box. Set your start date and end date for the same day (unless you want to have your event covering multiple consecutive days I guess) and set a start and end time.
I went for 8:00PM to 11:00PM here for realism, but put whatever man.
There is currently no "standard" for which time to use.
I recommend listing the event start time as the time you are most likely to actually post the event.
Be aware when checking the calendar that event days may differ based on your location!
(For example: AWF Prestige occurs on friday night EST, but to me in the UK, this is saturday morning.)
You may need to make a mental adjustment when checking the calendar!

Well, since we have no choice - we are going to use this thread to list the match card.

Select to post in your fed's "upcoming cards" forum and then hit "Create Event"
STEP 3: NAME AND DETAILS FOR YOUR EVENT
This is well easy. Name the thread (I recommend using something simple and concise - this is what it is going to appear as on the calendar too)
You can also put all the pertinent information into the body of the post.
You'll see here I posted the event card and RP deadlines, so anybody who is checking out the calendar can quickly check these bits of information too without having to go looking through the official Fed subforum for the official card post.
I guess you can just list "CARD TBA" if there is no card set at the time.

When you are ready, select "Create Thread"
STEP 4: ADMIRE YOUR HANDIWORK
And there it is! Isn't it pretty! Once you've posted and what not then go back into the calendar just to double-check that you got the right day and/or Proboards didn't fudge it up.
STEP FOUR IS MANDATORY AND IS PUNISHABLE BY EATING ULTRA KIRA'S COOKING
There you have it folks - hope that made things easier for anybody who wasn't 100% sure of what to do. I highly recommend all our feds use this as we have had a massive influx of members literally overnight, and at least three feds started in the past week alone. Having everyone's schedule down a month or maybe even two in advance will help everybody get on the same page as far as timings for events as well as roleplays are concerned.
