It is sweet, so long as the time zone differences don't screw us up lol.
When I think about American time I usually think about Eastern because that's only 4/5 hours behind me. But someone on the west coast is something like 8 hours behind.
So I don't know if my events are showing up as starting for 8om for everyone or if New York see it as starting at 4pm and California sees it as starting at midday... someone in Hawaii may think the EoD shows are on saturdays lol. Which they are I suppose, if you're in Hawaii. Obviously I know that Prestige is on a friday night, but it actually goes up on saturday morning for me.
This shouldn't be too much of a problem... but it could be a bit annoying if you're doing a roleplay and want to check which day your match is on... check the calendar - "oh saturday" - so you spend a whole RP saying "On saturday I'm gonna kick your ass... on saturday this, on saturday that..." then you look like a dumbass cos you don't know what day your match is lol.

From what I can see, the event is localized. On my version of the calendar EoD is every Monday (which it in my time zone). So you must be doing something right

From what I can see, the event is localized. On my version of the calendar EoD is every Monday (which it in my time zone). So you must be doing something right What time zone are you in? Technically, that's what I'd like to avoid. It'd be sweet if there was a way to add the event so that EVERYONE sees it on the same day, as if we really were all in America. Obviously, for the purposes of knowing which day in real life you can expect to see the show, this is good. But since I can't change my time zone I'll have to make sure I post all the events using Eastern Time (so instead of setting them up for 8pm sunday, I'd have to do them for 1am monday.) - or if I post something for Kira, convert the time so that it displays at the right JApanese time. Like I say, this is great if I remember off the top of my head which day each show is scheduled for, USA-wise. But I know I'm the sort of idiot that would look at Prestige (Friday USA but Saturday UK) and start writing a promo entirely based around "Saturday Nite's Alright For Fighting" lol

I'm in Korea, so like Asia-Pacific.
Yeah, for actual usefulness, having it localized is better- but one will have to pay attention to when it is actually supposed to be in-character, lol.
It looks like you're gonna get very good at changing timezones in your head, Steele!

Ah you are in Korea, I thought that but wasn't sure. So End of Days are going up late monday for you then?
I think this is the best thing we can do, if we can't have everyone on the same time zone. We'll put shows up based off of their time zones and just make sure people know when they need to be aware of this.

Early Monday, like morning time- it makes me near-useless as you cats are waiting for the show, lol
I guess the next step is to decide which time zone will serve as our "standard" for the Network.
Since the Network's HQ is in MN I vote central; but a lot of folk are on the east and west coasts (and some island called UK or something)

Like I say I am more used to Eastern but Central fits best for MN.
But each fed should run on their own local timezone anyway - so a (theoretical) UK promotion would probably run at 7 or 8pm and people on the East Coast would see the show around 2-3pm.
This may pose a problem for Kira though if he is supposed to be posting at 8pm Japanese time but it's actually while he's at school or whatever in the USA lol.

Maybe one day I'll do something... But it would be short-form and possibly angle based for sure lol.
As for Kira's question... hmm possibly... But not really. Or maybe.
Damn Timezones!
Maybe further research is needed. Maybe there does need to be a company-wide edict that feds post cards using Central Time.
To be absolutely honest the time you set the event for in the calendar doesn't actually matter, so long as you set it up for the correct day (it's a shame the "all day" thing doesn't seem to work properly) - but if we said use Central time and adjust accordingly that should work just to have everyone sort of in the same mindset.
In SSS' case you could kayfabe it and say that the event takes place on the 27th in Japan but it's promoted in the USA by the English commentary team as happening on the 28th.
EDIT: tried to change the EoD events to their "correct" time (which is listed as EST by the way) but it won't let me edit those. Also the fifth night seems to be taking place over 2 days and I'm not sure why. The clocks go back an hour in the UK in that day so that might be what it's about... But can't say for sure.

I was just thinking, it'd actually be easier to not bother putting the thread into the "Announcements" forum and instead use this to create the official match card thread in each fed's individual "Upcoming Cards" sections wouldn't it? Since everyone posts upcoming cards.

If that's the case, every fed already has a card section- I don't see why each one would need two. Either that or we could make a subforum on the main section somewhere for card dumps
